With double Gameweek 31 looming large over our Fantasy plans, we turn to the Key Performance Index tables in the members section and assess a selection of players with a pair of fixtures on their upcoming agendas. The KPI data focuses on the frequency of key stats or events in order to track player form –we look to the top 10 most improved midfielders in terms of minutes per shots inside the box and also assess forwards’ shooting accuracy over the past six Gameweeks:

I'm getting in Yaya and Gerrard for the DGW anyway.. one of them will be in for Mata, the other for Lallana. I'm definitely holding onto Lallana this week though, the question is...

Pick the player that will do best for JUST GW30:

Mata (LIV) - Gerrard (mun) - Yaya (hul)

I've just realised that I plan to transfer in mainly widely owned players on my GW31 WC, for example Coleman and Yaya, who I've not owned up to this point.
Background: I am behind my rivals and am hovering around 100k.

Is it worth going with Baines and Silva purely for the differential factor and hoping that they will outscore Coleman and Yaya? I don't know where else I can make differentials since I definitely want a City attacking cover and an attacking Everton defender, and I think Yaya and Coleman are the better combination.

Current draft looks something like this:

    Mannone
    Ivan COLEMAN Kompany/Zaba/Skrtel Ward Chester
    Sterling SILVA/YAYA AJ Puncheon ?
    Studge Suaz Aguero/Lukaka

Baines and Nasri sound like decent differentials to me. I'd pick Baines regardless though, reckon he's a better pick than Coleman even at his higher price.

Baines is not a better pick at all IMO, just as good as Coleman but with an extra 0.8m, which could be used to get Yaya over Silva/Nasri, who I am not so confident about owning

Aguero out would mean a boost to Yaya's stock with pens in his locker. I'm in the same position as you, meaning if I go Coleman I can afford Yaya. I'll consider it if Kun is out, if not, Baines' share of set-pieces (corners + pens + some freekicks) and his propensity for out-bapping Coleman means I'll happily pay the extra.

Check PPG and Baines' goal/assist threat from set-pieces and open play in the members area. Also check Baines' assists over the last 3 seasons. Yes, he will get the odd extra bonus and maybe a pen before the end of the season, but it's no guaranteed!

If you like looking at stats, Coleman has scored 4 premier league goals in his life before this season.

PPG is similar between Coleman and Baines, but I'd wager Coleman has been overperforming and Baines have been underperforming. I honestly think Baines has more explosive potential going forward and that's exactly what I need to regain some ground.

I've looked at the stats... they both have a non-existent goal threat lately, so that's not very relevant. Nothing's guaranteed, but I still feel Baines' potential is worth the cash.

The stats can't tell you everything, I've watched him very closely and honestly he's in the box all the time. Your stats might show a few touches in the box but that's cause most times he's waiting to get on to the end of a cross. Imo Coleman outscores Baines from now till the end of the season, unless Everton start winning Liverpool amounts of pens

Thinking of not getting a City defender and going with Coleman and Baines actually, but it seems a bit risky. That said, City are no guarantee for points at the moment! I will monitor their performance vs. Hull I think.

if he's somewhat injured and thus not 100% and therefore ineffective, I think it's perfectly reasonable to haul him off in hopes that another striker can do better

be honest here, did he really show his quality in the first half? did he really do much of anything?

Negredo & Dzeko are good Strikers but they're no Sergio. Pellegrini knows this. Fit Aguero is nailed on & wouldn't get subbed off just because of 1 poor haf performance.

True, I agree. But just for people taking him out it would be silly because then for the DGW you'd want him back in if it turns out to be no injury. @TW below it was probably both factors, he was innefective because he was feeling his hamstring a little so they took him off. I think he has a tiny strain that means he will either come on at the end of the Hull game. Could be totally wrong of course 😛

    where would you start?

after the kun blow, going with Lukaku probably...

    mannone (marshall)
    coleman azpi fonte (BRUCE ward)
    punch hazard MATA LALLANA ZAHA
    ADE suarez studge

Snodgrass (SUN, swa, WBA) OR Sterling for -4 (car, SUN, TOT, whu)

Snoddy having relegation battle against the likes of Sunderland & West Brom at Carrow Road so trying to convince myself goals will come from Norwich in those games. Sterling undoubtedly better but not assured starts for all 4 games & very unlikely to play above 70 mins. even if he starts. And I'll have to do it for 4-point hit. What do you think people?

FPL is a game of risk and luck. You speculate to accumulate and early adopters in a gameweek have the chance to increase their transfer budget and team value by taking risks. The current Aguero situation is yet to be clarified, however it looks like he may be injured for gameweek 30 and possibly longer. If so early adopters took the risk to transfer in Aguero at the beginning of gameweek 30 and were unlucky. You win some, you lose some. I am sure true players of FPL would not want it any other way.

Agreed, most of the time these players don't get injured and it only costs -4 when they do. Not having Suarez or Rambo (or Barfa for his two great hauls) in as soon as they looked incredible would've been a far bigger mistake than spending -4 on occasion.

Get that doctor guy to look at aguaro just before half time. Does anyone else rememeber those articles? They were great.

My mate who watch the match said that he looked off the pace and clearly still struggling with his injury. I'm not going any where near him until he can prove his fitness a little and that unlikely to be GW 31.

    Hey guys, David here.

Just saw Mr Aguero in ASDA buying a micro lasagne (he went for one of the expensive ones even though i told him the smart price one is half the price and tastes just as good)

He said he fine and fit to play at the weekend,
He was just a bit jealous of Lionel flirting with yaya so blatantly after all they have been through, so he went off.

I will call him later to ask about his lasagne
