The final two fixtures of Gameweek 34 arrive this evening. Everton and Palace both have plenty to play for at Goodison – an eighth straight win for the hosts would take them back above Arsenal in the race for fourth, whilst a victory for Palace would take Tony Pulis’ side onto the 40-point mark. City are desperate to bounce back from Sunday’s loss at Liverpool – the visit of basement-dwellers Sunderland affords them the chance to rack up a fifteenth home win in 16 attempts:

The big news from the Etihad is that David Silva has been omitted from City’s squad altogether. With Yaya Toure sidelined due to a groin injury and Edin Dzeko dropping to the bench, Sergio Aguero will carry the hopes of many into this evening’s encounter against a Black Cats side beset with injuries, suspension and illness. Over at Goodison, Romelu Lukaku – leader of last week’s Captain Poll – is looking to recover from Saturday’s unexpected blank at Sunderland.

    When will I learn!!!. Had a gut feeling (actually also brains told same thing) for Puncheon, but no, seeing Nasri / city love here last week made me go for Nasri instead 🙁

    Very frustrating this, next season, next season....gut feeling is always way to go!

      Just did the same thing. Checked BBC sport, saw Dzeko wasn't playing which was annoying but knew it was a possibility, so I go on FPL and notice Silva hasn't got any other points. Not even on the bench. Bloody brilliant.

    I now understand how lukaku is valued at about 25 million. Last week play played like a 50 mill player and today playing like a Sunday leaguer. Average it out around 25.

    Never mind Chelsea and Liverpool placing each other, I think Liverpool & City's games with Palace could have a big impact on the title race. Palace are very awkward to beat
