more could be made of joe harts recent below average keeping which has cost city big time.......awful decision to come off line, then get completely done by a simple cut back, for sterlings goal.......skertels header was very savable if hart was on line rather than pushing people.......and worse of all the terrible positioning to be beaten at the near post from that angle for wickhams second last nite.......none were real howlers for someone who is supposed to be world class it was not good enough when it really counted

I completely agree, Hart has not played to the standards set for himself by past seasons which is surprising especially in a WC year. I don't blame him for Skrtel's or Sterling's goals though. Skrtel's header was exquisite and for any keeper to keep that out would require a "save of the year" effort. Perhaps he could have done better on Sterling's goal but I think that goal derived mostly from a fantastic, composed Sterling finish rather than a mistake on Hart's part. His position on the Wickham goal though was inexcusable, that was entirely his fault and had he been playing towards the near post it could have been easily avoided (though as a Chelsea fan i'm not complaining).

Hey DeadZone, i have a question for you.
Write a cheat sheet to yourself for GW1 next season. What advice would you give yourself, having learned this season's lessons?
For example, here are my own:
- Don't take 2 hits for GW2; have more trust in your initial team (i.e. don't sell Hazard after 4 matches)
- Invest in defense; 2 big strikers plus a Crouch/JRod is fine, so buy JT/Baines, you won't regret it
- give much less thought to chasing team value around late January

Yeah, you've identified the problems. Just gotta get rid of them. Do Toure > Nasri. And then you can do Lallana > Mata and then one of Baines and Coleman > a United defender.
