Tottenham and Man City both have a couple of players in the top five of this week’s Captain Poll ahead of home games against Fulham and West Brom. Luis Suarez is the standout candidate, however, as over 58% of you have backed the Liverpool forward to wreak havoc on Norwich’s defence once again as the league leaders make their way to Carrow Road:

We take the top five in this week’s Captain Poll (Suarez, Sergio Aguero, Christian Eriksen, Emmanuel Adebayor and David Silva) as our starting point and construct a members table based around a number of their key statistics in order to flag up any other players offering a similar sort of threat.

    Good Friday all,

    As a runaway mini-league leader, I'm only trying to improve my overall rank (break the top 1k). I seem to be going against the flow by captaining Aguero this weekend. Most people are capping up Suarez.

    Is it simply Suarez's history against Norwich outweighing Aguero's return from his recent injury?

    A big fat (H) next to Aguero, against an out of sorts WBA was once such a no brainer. Any reasonable/rational/sane person out there doing the same as me?

      West Brom in better shape than Norwich and Suarez in better form than Aguero.

      He never gets 90 mins. City will struggle again without Yaya and especially Silva. Aguero was not great against Sunderland or Liverpool imo. Suarez is a no-brainer

    I know they do their best with the flags and percentages etc, but I think FPL should do away with the flags next season. Then it's down to managers to work it out for themselves.

    For example I don't see how Silva when from yellow to amber with the info Pelli gave.

      The flags should stay in my opinion. It was of course really good for us when they were so slow and unpredictable a few seasons back :p. I think that's part of the reason why it's difficult for hardcore players to easily win ML's this year.

    quick CASE STUDY:

    I am 4th in my cash ML, but just 42 points loss to the leader. Very close gaps between all 4 of us.
    We all have Suarez ofc. But I am the only one with Aguero - at least for now.

    Who should I captain - Suarez or Aguero ?

      If City were firing on all cylinders, and didn't have all the injuries (including Kun ust coming back), I would have suggested Suarez. However, the Etihad is like an ER so go with Suarez. No need to hit the mergence button just yet with a 40 deficit.
