With many a mini-league on the line, we’ve plenty to analyse as always. We assess the progress of the Scout league leaders in a variety of Fantasy games, with Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League, Sky Sports, Sun Dream Team and Champions League games all included in this afternoon’s round-up:

Fantasy Premier League

It’s all change at the top of the Scout league as Tom Fenley moves to the summit after a 69-point haul in Gameweek 36. Tom also moved to number one in the world after deciding to take an eight-point hit, with his acquisition of Wayne Rooney and Laurent Koscielny proving particularly key – the pair more than paid back the points deduction, with 39 points between them. Vito Mannone, Branislav Ivanovic and Juan Mata also delivered as Tom moved onto 2,519 points overall.

Our recent podcast guest Luke Weston slips to second after picking up 54 points. Like Tom, he also captained Rooney, whilst Mata and Mannone also served up the points. Luke sits in second spot overall on 2,505 points.

Eoin Maye is on the rise this week, moving from fifth up to third in the Scout league. Eoin is now fourth in the overall rankings, thanks to captain Rooney, Mata and Mannone, whilst Cesar Azpilicueta, Luke Shaw and Samir Nasri produced 20 points between them.

Barry Curran is a non-mover in fourth spot –despite choosing to captain Aaron Ramsey. The Welshman’s team-mate Mesut Ozil, Rooney, Mata, Mannone and City’s Martin Demichelis helped Barry rack up 63 points in Gameweek 36 – he now sits in sixth spot on 2,472 points.

Rasmus Sandman completes our top five. Previously placed at third in the Scout league, he dropped down the pecking order in spite of a 61-point return – captain Rooney, Mata, Mannone and Azpilicueta were his main men as he slipped slightly to seventh overall.

Thanks to the performances of our top five, Fantasy Football Scout remain top of the League of Leagues. To join up, the league code is 1580-1106.

In the Fantasy Football Scout Members league, world number one Tom Fenley leads the way. Jono McPhillips is in second spot on 2,455 points, whilst Luke van Lelyveld is back in third on 2,488 points.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League

Bogdan Radu remains in top spot in the Scout league for the Beta phase of the Ultimate game. With 919 points, he is now in second position overall, whilst Jason Pont is in second spot on 904 points – enough to earn his seventh overall. Richard Dear takes third, with 902 points leaving him seventh in the overall standings so far.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football

Dammy Olubokun’s pair of teams remain joint-first in the Scout league, with 2,476 points apiece. Dammy’s two sides sit joint-second overall, though are now 34 points off the summit after being just four points adrift last week. In third spot in the Scout League is Neil Fleeson, whose side have delivered 2,446 points, earning him seventh spot in the overall standings. The winner of our Sky league, which is also top in the league of leagues, wins £1,000.

Sun Dream Team

Geoff Pryor remains the runaway leader of the Scout league with a total of 2,001 points. His tactic of loading up on three of the Blues’ backline and Liverpool’s front two has paid off so far and helped him into fifth in the overall standings, just 42 points off the top. Charles Mouzon sits in second, third and fourth spot, though his highest scoring XI is 140 points behind Geoff. The winner of our Sun league also picks up £1,000.

Champions League

Ahead of Chelsea’s second-leg semi-final home encounter with La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid later this evening, Pavel123 is top of the Scout league on 805 points – earning him third spot overall. Diegocho33 takes second place with 790 points, whilst zadid56 is five points further back in third.

Fantasy Football Scout Cup

Our Members Cup IV has now reached the stage this weekend, whilst the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX is down to the final four managers. We’ll be sorting the draw for the latter cup later today and will publish an article on both cups tomorrow.

    Best option (-8)?

    1. Baines+Nasri -> Demi/Evra+Yaya
    2. Baines+Ramsey -> Kos+Yaya
    3. Baines+Eriksen -> Ferdinand/Alonso + Yaya

    My worries with each:
    1. a bit of a sideways move, losing a dgw player
    2. Ramsey could do well this week, and nice gwk38. Could be rested in final week though, so it's my current favourite.
    3. not the best defensive options (5.1M to spend)

After entertaining you all with a lovely quiz, would you kindly bother to have a look at my team?

    Mannone* (Marshall)
    Chester* Azpi Coleman (Distin Ward)
    Nasri* Mutch Erik Ramsey (Punch)
    Rooney* Suarez Lambert

    1FT,5.5 in bank

    Was thinking either

    A) Lambert to Kun, Coleman to Demi/Evra (-4)
    or
    B) Mutch to Yaya, Lambert to Dzeko (-4)

Leading my ML. Rival has Yaya but no Aguero. Not too sure about the moves I mentioned above, any other suggestions?

After posting earlier this morning about the crazy Grenada v Barbados match, I thought I'd post up this other funny football story!

In the late 90's German fourth division side Bonner SC tried to sign a few of the best Cuban players, after the clubs owner, Hans-Robert Viol, witnessed a video of the Cuban national sides 2-0 defeat to Brazil.

But, the Cuban FA wanted all their players to remain together, so Bonner SC agreed to take all of them! Fifteen players, two coaches, an interpreter, a physio and a cook arrived at the German club, and in return sent balls, boots and kit to Cuba and arranged international friendlies for them.

It didn't quite happen like that.

Both German football bodies and FIFA disagreed with the move, and in the end only a couple of Cubans ever played for Bonner SC, albeit briefly and unsuccessfully.

One of the Cubans remained in the area and became a pastor, but that's about the extent of it.

After another day in the garden I've decided to surrender to the superior will power of the slugs and snails..Me and Mrs Wakey have decided not to bother going to the garden centre any more to buy expensive plants,. instead we have decided just to bury 10 pound notes in the soil...Good plan and probably cheaper.

Ha! Gardening-related endeavors can often go t@ts up. On a somewhat similar topic, I just worked the bejeezus out of my yard and laid down grass seed a few days ago. Then the rain starting coming, which I thought was great at first. It hasn't really stopped, though, and I fear all the puddling and everything else may just destroy my project.

If any questions arise, I'll be sure to fire them your way. Gonna wait and see what happens within the next few days or so. Do have a moss problem. Got most of it out, but not sure it won't just return, etc. May have to lay some lime down or something the like. Kinda hoped the grass seed would sprout and knock out the moss. Also, didn't cover the grass seed very well. Kind of agitated the ground, laid it down, covered with the dirt I had left over in some spots, but not all. Wondering if my somewhat half-arsed effort will render poor results.

Strip everything back, moss, old grass, everything. This still isn't quite the best time of year to seed. Best time is when the ground is fully warmed and you get an even 8-10 degree min day and night time temerature. I've just re grown part of one of my lawns but it takes quite a long time still.

Yeah. I wondered if it wasn't a bit too early in the season. I'm in northern Ohio, and the temps have been rather cool, especially at night. I raked the yard quite vigorously, getting out most of the moss and some of the old grass. Then I seeded the dirt spots and re-seeded in the areas that still had some grass. I tried my best to aerate a bit as well, using a ski pole of all things. The bottom of the pole has about a 3-inch long metal spike that I jammed all over. It wasn't exactly the approach I would prefer in the long run, but was trying to save some money.

It could be a bullet dodged getting rid of Mata but his potential returns are worth the risk in my opinion.

The benefit of keeping Gerrard is you know he will play (unless injured or suspended) and he has a better final week fixture.

Hey all! It's fast approaching 3am in OZ and I'm yet to get an ounce of sleep because I'm nervous about the upcoming game. So, I have a decision to make. Current team is:

    Mannone (Gazzaniga)
Azpilicueta - Coleman (Bruce - Stones - Ward)
Eriksen - Mata - Nasri - Yaya (Jedinak)
    Aguero - Rooney - Suarez

    Would you:
    A) Stones > Kosc for a hit and play him
    B) Bruce > Rio for a hit and play him
    C) Don't take a hit, play Bruce and hope he starts 1 of Hull's games

    Cheers
