As always on Friday lunchtime, we turn our attentions to PlayON, the weekly Fantasy Football game. Scouring the PlayON Price List for potential bargains, we assessing the upcoming bumper Gameweek which sees six sides play twice– unsurprisingly, then, we focus on both Manchester teams ahead of tomorrow’s deadline, whilst in-form Sunderland are also on the radar:

This week PlayON have a £1,000 GUARANTEED game on offer – you can enter the game on the multiplayer page here. PlayON are also giving FREE ENTRY into the £1,000 GUARANTEED game for all new sign-ups between now and 10.45 on Sat morning – no deposit needed.

If you’re new to PlayON, it is weekly Fantasy Football so you can dip in and out of playing throughout the season. Once your starting XI is built, you can compete for cash. You can challenge other players to one-on-one games, selecting the amount at stake. The likes of Robbie Fowler, Les Ferdinand and OptaJoe are all playing the game and are there to be challenged for free or for £1. The Fantasy Football Scout team is also available to be challenged and has a 51% win rate up to this point. You can also create an open challenge against anyone else on the site – just click the amount you want to play for and the number of slots (number of people who can accept your challenge) on the one-on-one page .

For a more in-depth introduction to PlayON, take a look at this season’s introduction article.

Goalkeeper – Joe Hart
Priced at a mere 7.7m, the Man City stopper travels to Everton this weekend before hosting Villa at the Etihad in midweek. Manuel Pellegrini’s side chalked up their first shut-out in six attempts last Sunday and, whilst Hart may have to rely on saves for the Goodison encounter, Villa’s record of two goals in four matches is indicative of their struggling attack. David De Gea is also very favourably priced. Coming in at 7.4m, he welcomes Sunderland and Hull to Old Trafford this Gameweek and earned his first home clean sheet since January last weekend. Given their budget-friendly price tags, in comparison to other double Gameweek keepers, it’s difficult to look beyond the Manchester-based pair.

Defender – Patrice Evra
The Frenchman’s raids down the left offers the chance of points at both ends of the pitch for the Red Devils’ pair of matches. Setting you back 9.0m, Evra looks poised to start both matches and, as last week’s win over Norwich highlighted, Ryan Giggs is determined to go on the offensive and finish the season on a high. Sunderland’s Santiago Vergini is available for just 8.1m for a trip to United and home encounter with West Brom. The right-back looks to have risen above Phil Bardsley in the pecking order and offers the cheapest route into Gus Poyet’s backline, with a clean sheet to his name in last week’s resounding win over Cardiff. Coming in at 10.0m, Vincent Kompany is the cheapest of Manuel Pellegrini’s backline regulars but, with three goals to his name so far, the Man City skipper has netted more times than any defensive team-mate ahead of the matches against Everton and Villa.

Midfielder – Juan Mata
With five goals in his last four appearances, the Spaniard has finally settled at Old Trafford after a series of inconsistent displays. Mata climbed off the bench to bag a brace in Ryan Giggs’ debut at the helm last weekend and with doubts over both Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie, he seems poised to be re-installed to the starting XI ahead of the pair of home fixtures – coming in at 10.5m, he looks a canny acquisition for the Gameweek. Yaya Toure’s return from injury last week proved pivotal to Manchester City’s title ambitions. The Ivorian’s goal and assist in the 2-0 win at Crystal Palace ended the Eagles’ five-match winning streak and placed the visitors firmly in the driving seat for their second title in three seasons. Priced at 10.1m for the games against Everton and Villa, Toure still looks excellent value as he attempts to add to his 19-goal haul and fire Manuel Pellegrini’s side to the summit. Adam Johnson (9.2m) could finally be set to end a recent dry spell. Granted, a trip to Old Trafford is tricky, but the home game against West Brom bodes well – the Baggies have conceded three times in three of their last five fixtures.

Forward – Sergio Aguero
Available for 11.3m in this week’s PlayON Player Price List, the Argentine could be set to deal some real damage over the double. Aguero seems the safest bet from either of the Manchester sides to start both matches and, as we’ve seen in seasons gone by, his predatory nature in the penalty box could make all the difference to City’s title bid. Robin Van Persie is still a doubt for Man United’s matches against Sunderland and Hull but, having returned to training earlier in the week, the Dutchman – who comes in at a mere 7.8m – is very favourably priced and could be a real bargain if given the game time by Ryan Giggs. Handed his first start since February last weekend, Saido Berahino fired the winner against West Ham to take West Brom a step closer to survival. Available for 10.5m, the youngster has back-to-back matches against Arsenal and Sunderland to plunder the goals again.

    1. Rooney to Borini for -8? Took first -4 to bring in YYT and Amalfitano. Also, prefer Borini over Wikham because of his penalty duties.

    2. Bench Rooney and just play Eriksen.

    Have 8DGW players including Rooney.

More than a little disingenuous there Butters. He wasn't the only person angry at having had GoT spoiled for him. We had a LOT of complaints about that. In case you hadn't noticed, GoT spoilers are a big thing:

Try a little harder, you're a good poster and it would be good if people could remember you more easily.

                    1) Go to http://www.gravatar.com
                    2) Press "Sign in" button (top right)
                    3) Press "Need an account?"
                    4) Fill in email address (same one as here), username (doesn't matter what it is) and password
                    5) Press "Sign up"
                    6) Go to your email inbox and wait for the email from gravatar.com - click the link in the email and follow the instructions

Haha. Honestly, I think you're about the only one, me included, who thinks I'm a good poster, and it is probably highly profitable to me that people don't remember me easily. 😆

Thanks for the effort, anyway, you've already done more for my gravatar than I have myself. I give it a thought and maybe go and try again if I get too bored.

I don't have any pictures to upload anyway, so have to look for that as well.

Very unexpectedly, I actually have some photoshop skills (if bad skills count as skills) myself. It's bit strange how I ended up knowing how to use that system.

Since I learnt it, every time I read that commercial banner "mom/model/doctor/whoever reveals the secret that makes her look 25 years younger than her age" I've though: photoshop.

Funny fact, not only Barcelona, PSG and City, but just at the time of their return to CL football, Liverpool is also in trouble with FFP, having clearly passed the deficit limits. Probably won't be excluded from CL for that, as won't City, Barca and PSG, but certainly salary caps and transfer bans should be as possible for them as they are for the others.

That could make their next season quite difficult in FPL returns too (because of no squad to play CL and PL same time).

Chasing ML who is 23 points ahead, he has yaya & aguero.

Need to sort out defence as 3 of them don't play but will that give me enough points to catch him.

    Mannone (Adrian)
    Azpi, Baines, Bruce (chambers, olsson)
    mata, eriksen, ramsey, gerarrd (mutch)
    aguero, rooney, suarez

For a -12 hit, what is my best options

ML rival is just 5 points ahead. He has already done 3 transfers so is -8 but has brough in Yaya. My team is:

    Mannone (Adrian)

Ivanovic - Demichelis - Coleman (Ward - Molsson)

Eriksen - Mata - Nasri - AJ (Mutch)

    Aguero - Rooney - Suarez

Should I do Suarez to Wickham and Coleman to Evra for a hit and (c) on Aguero or Mata?

Do you not fear he will play both games and possibly get big returns in the second? And also, why Wickham over Dzeko?

Interested to know who's got the most riding on winning their mini leagues this year? I'm in a league of 60 players and winner takes away about £500. I've currently got a 31 point lead at the top so am fairly tense right now! Anyone else got big money at stake?

      was it £10 per head?

      i have £280 one
also did a LMS one for last 8 weeks and lasted one week, would still be in it if it wasnt for nolan booking
it is a great format for banter

£30 per head. There are manager of the month prizes and top few get paid out. Lots of pressure! Rooney news not helping either!

Suarez is underestimated this gw it seems

Im tempted to captain him ahead of Kun or Mata

That was Suarez against Mourinho. Its not like Suarez always bangs great scores against top sides.

I remember a few people ditching DGWers over Suarez last season, when Liverpool played 0-0 away at Reading.

His form is a little off and Palace are pretty tight. I'd actually bench him if the stakes weren't so high.

My decision comes down to this:

    A) Nasri
    B) Yaya + AJ (-4)
    C) Yaya + Whickham (-4)

    Which one looks best?

C but Pellegrini said only injured player is Navas, so if Silva is fit I would be looking into that option as well.
