We have a new winner of the Fantasy Football Scout Members Cup, after the final took place over the elongated double Gameweek 37. Our congratulations go to Trigg, who defeated Sandgrounder by 69 point to 61 points – he succeeds Acquafresca as the new title holder:

Both our finalists decided to take 12-point hits for the double and only had four of the same XI players– Yaya Toure, Sergio Aguero, Juan Mata and Christian Eriksen. Ultimately, the armband selection proved significant – whilst Sandgrounder’s hopes were dashed by yet another injury to Aguero, Trigg’s decision to captain Toure made all the difference, with the Ivorian’s 34-point haul helping him to victory.

As mentioned in our initial entry article, Trigg now receives a £200 Amazon voucher as the winner of the Members cup and Sandrounder, as runner-up, is awarded a £100 Amazon voucher.

In the Tenth Round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup IX, we’ve now reached the final stage, with Gribude set to take on Woeisme for the chance to succeed Tdubb05 as our new champion.

Gribude arrives at the final after defeating 1nozza by 73-53 in the semi-finals and, with an overall ranking of 1,659, is the favourite to take the trophy. Woeisme saw off the challenge of xildor by 61 to 50 points and now sits around the 24k-mark.

Looking at both our finalists’ squads, they have seven of the same players. David De Gea, Laurent Koscielny, Juan Mata, Christian Eriksen, Luis Suarez, Wayne Rooney and Sergio Aguero sit in both sides – it’s likely that the pair’s decision on the latter two will ultimately prove pivotal to their respective prospects tomorrow.

As mentioned in our initial entry article, the winner receives £100 worth of free bets and £100 Amazon Voucher, our runner-up is awarded £50 worth of free bets and a £50 Amazon Voucher.

Rozzop and 1nozza now go head-to-head in the third v fourth place play-off, with the winner of that clash set to receive £50 worth of free bets and a £25 Amazon Voucher.

As always, good luck to all those still involved.

I don't get all the hate that's going round all the social media sites for Muslims about companies selling Halal meat. It's not the Muslims who are asking for it! Hate the companies trying to get even richer!!

It's merely a cynical corporate decision to ensure they can market to a growing segment of the population.

Exactly. So why do I keep seeing loads of articles going round social media sites about hate for the Muslims.

I honestly couldn't care, if it tastes good, I'll eat it. Whatever it is.

But I wouldn't hate a religion for the way a company is conducting it's business.

Surely it is the Muslims asking for it. I.e. Demand for it from the large Muslim populations means that companies buy and supply it. It just needs to be labelled so that people can make an informed choice.

In a way yes. But they're not physically asking or demanding for it. It's purely down to the organisations to change their products, not a religion.

The business' overall aim is to get richer, no matter what the man at the top has in his back pocket.

Rank in order - best to worst?

    Aguero
    Dzeko
    Nasri
    Yaya
    🙂

It depends if Aguero's legs fall off and how the match pans out. Aguero will be on the pitch as long as they need a goal or two and he isn't injured.

Then it'll be Dzeko, the mans on form.

      Yaya, he's a beast.

Then, finally, Nasri. He's so frustrating to own. He seems to be out wide a lot, whilst the other three are the three main men getting into the box and amongst the action.

cheers man. 🙂 unfortunately I've currently got Nasri. He always looks good but isn't great fantasy-wise.

I've got Kun too... if he was to go off injured, I'd be gutted if I didn't have Dzeko.

Yaya and Dzeko are the two on form - and the two I don't have. 😉

Dzeko means I keep Mata. Sturridge means I keep Nasri. Yaya comes in the mid.

I have Aguero and Nasri too. If Aguero was confirmed out I would have got Dzeko. I don't see the point in doing the switch if he's fit to play a part, as we all know he can nick a goal.

No, it'd be Rooney -> Dzeko. Dzeko's the form man in the league, but it's what's best for the whole team.

            Mata, Dzeko, Yaya
            or Studge, Nasri, Yaya....

            Very undecided. 🙂

Me neither! Sentimental pick is Dzeko. It'll be last minute.

At least I'll know pretty soon. 😀 Only 9 points behind, so could be painful.

Is this for this week in FPL or overall play?

      This week it would be:
      1) Dzeko (man on form)
      2) yaya
      3) Aguero (might not be 100% fit)
      4) nasri (good player, but sometimes seems to assist the assister and isn't the best for FPL points)

Overall play for me it is:
      1) Yaya
      2) Aguero
      3) Nasri
      4) Dzeko

Put Yaya over Aguero as he always seems to be fit, which is a pretty huge advantage!

yeah, it's fantasy and I think you're right with the order. Dzeko is so in form, but it means I keep Mata.

        Dzeko, Mata, Yaya
        or Sturridge, Nasri, Yaya

But I would try and get Yaya in somehow.. erm, Id want to do Sturridge to Rooney, and hen maybe you could do Mata to someone like Sterling or Eriksen to give you the cash to swap Yaya for Nasri, but taking the points hit can be a bit risky.

I have 3 city: zaba nasri aguero, no yaya, rival has yaya, i have 12 pt lead, do i do a -4 to remove any of these 3 to get yaya, will still have rooney on bench. Or do I just forget yaya & do rooney to sturr on a FT?

    Mannone
    Zaba Dann Coleman
    Yaya Nasri Eriksen Ramsey Amalfitano
    Suarez Podolski

    Bench - Rooney, Baker, Chester

Presumably I should be getting rid of Rooney and bringing in replacement for Amalfitano? Already have 3 City....is Sturridge my best option? Cheers
