For the final time, we assess the Scout leagues in a variety of Fantasy games after the campaign drew to a close on Sunday afternoon. With leagues in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Ultimate Fantasy Premier League, Sky Sports, Sun Dream Team and Champions League games there is much for us to analyse:

FPL, Fantasy Football Scout League. Winner: Tom Fenley, Overall Ranking 1

Tom Fenley, the winner of the Scout league and Members league, was also world number one in the FPL game. Like many of us, Tom was let down by captain Luis Suarez on Sunday but still had Aaron Ramsey, Juan Mata, Yaya Toure, Edin Dzeko and Laurent Koscielny to thank for a 48-point haul which took him to 2,634 points – enough to win the crown by a single point.

Eoin Maye climbed up to second in the Scout League after a 66-point Gameweek. Eoin’s midfielders (Mata, Ramsey, Samir Nasri and Stephane Sessegnon) earned him 40 points, whilst Cesar Azpilicueta, Leighton Baines, Joel Ward and Dzeko atoned for a Suarez armband let-down as Eoin finished the season in sixth spot overall.

Veronika Solymosi was a non-mover in third thanks to a Gameweek 38 score of 58 points. Baines, Seamus Coleman and Martin Demichelis all served up a clean sheet, whilst Mata, Dzeko and captain Daniel Sturridge helped Veronika move up to seventh place overall.

Our recent podcast guest and former world number one Luke Weston dropped down to fourth after producing 35 points on Sunday afternoon. Toure and Ward were joined by Marko Arnautovic and captain Romelu Lukaku as Luke finished eighth overall – incredibly, that was his lowest placing in the rankings since Gameweek 12 in an outstandingly consistent season.

Michael Atkins clinched fifth spot courtesy of a 59 point return. He opted to captain Dzeko at home to West Ham and also called upon Sturridge, Toure, Mata, Azpilicueta, Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna. With 2,584 points accrued, Michael ended the campaign in 13th spot overall.

Thanks to the performances of our top five, Fantasy Football Scout ended the season as top of the League of Leagues once again.

FPL, FFS Members League. Winner: Tom Fenley, Overall Ranking 1

As mentioned above, world number one Tom Fenley also claimed the Fantasy Football Scout Members league – the first time this feat has been achieved. Jono McPhillips ended in second spot on 2,575 points, whilst Luke van Lelyveld finished third on 2,560 points.

Ultimate Fantasy Premier League. Winner: Alex Bowers – Overall Ranking 1

We’re pleased to say that Alex Bowers, winner of the Scout league for the Beta phase of the Ultimate game, also finished world number one. Alex ended the competition on 1,099 points, whilst Bogdan Radu earned second spot after serving up 78 points at the weekend – placing him second overall. Dan Musson took third spot in the Scout League, and ninth overall, after ending on 1,074 points.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football. Winner: Dammy Olubokun – Overall Ranking 2

Dammy Olubokun’s pair of teams finished first and second in the Scout league, with 2,576 and 2,572 points respectively. Dammy’s two sides just failed to win the Sky game, finishing in second and third spot overall, though as the winner of our Sky league, he will receive £1,000. In third spot in the Scout League is Luke Williams, who writes our Friday afternoon Sky Sports Focus articles under the name d1sable – Luke is fifth in the overall standings on 2,556 points. Having won the league of leagues in our first attempt last season, we are pleased to say we have managed to retain out trophy.

Sun Dream Team. Winner: Geoff Pryer – Overall Ranking 5

Geoff Pryor was the runaway winner of the Scout League with a total of 2,099 points. His tactic of loading up on three of Chelsea’s backline and Liverpool’s front two helped him into fifth in the overall standings, just 25 points off the top. As the winner of our Sun league, Geoff also picks up £1,000, whilst Charles Mouzon ended in second and third spot in the Scout League.

Champions League. Current Leader: Pavel 123 – Overall Ranking 4

With just the final left to play on May 24, Pavel123 remains on top of the Scout League on 826 points – earning him fourth spot overall. Zadid56 sits 20 points further back in second (15th overall) and Diegocho33 is in third on 802 points, enough to earn 22nd spot overall.

Any world cup bets standing out early doors?

I'm actually tempted by Yaya golden boot at 150/1 if he's fit...pretty decent group and great form.

Not sure I'll match Forlan golden boot bet last time 😮

That's a lot of money made on broadcasting this season:
    http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/news/2013-14/may/premier-league-broadcasting-commercial-payments.html

Not surprised any PL club is in danger of breaking FFP. Just read that 20th placed Cardiff have made more revenues this season than league winners United last season.

Give or take some. Suárez between 13 and 14. Costa between 10 and 11 and Remy 8 and 9. For the players you're getting at the prestige of club is a bargain in my opinion. Strikers have showed their worth this year, consistency of midfielder has dropped.

I find it interesting as there's been a fair bit of talk in recent months about not needing saurez due to his returns not being as good as before (yet still good) yet he's a must for next season, to me that suggests he's expected to return to the ridiculous form he showed in the first half of the season which is unlikely imo.

Brighton release a whole bunch of players including Tomasz Kuszczak and Andrea Orlandi. Very possible they could end up back in the premier league- possibly with promoted clubs. Good players....but wage demands or injury concerns though meant no new deals for them on the south coast.

Orlandi is a great player, but really injury prone...that's the reason most have departed. Kuszczak wants more money and Premier League football - can see a Prem League club going for him.

Kuszcak hasn't impressed in the games i seen Brighton recently and at best he'll end up on the bench for any Premier Lge side or back at WBA after Foster leaves

This may explain the resignation of the manager?

Not sure why he resigned. Most fans liked him and getting to the play offs was a great achievement considering the injuries Brighton has had this season.

There's logic in most of the departures. Too many clubs keep on players that have a poor injury track record - clubs like Brighton can't afford to carry players like that...need lots of starters.

I know this has been done before but since it's really slow on here, what would be your world XI but only 1 player from each club.

    I'll go 4-2-3-1:

    Courtois
    Lahm, Thiago Silva, Hummels, Baines
    Yaya Toure, Vidal
    Messi, Ozil, Ronaldo
    Suarez

Was Hummels + Ozil vs Koscielny + Ramsey for me. Not much between the CBs IMO and Ozil still a better player than Ramsey despite the latter's superior season.

      Bale instead of Ozil

I prefer Hazard, Reus, Robben. Modric to Ozil if i'm honest.

1 player from each club so you can't leave out Ronaldo.

I still think Ozil is better than Hazard, Mata and Reus personally despite what was not a great season for him and I'm a United fan (if that matters).

Jack Rodwell, what are your thoughts on him and his choice to join Man City?

Did he just see the £££ or did he realistically think he would get a chance at the Etihad? Just wondering what he could have been doing at Everton under Martinez and alongside McCarthy had he remained an Everton player.

Does anyone know why Pellegrini hasn't used him or even loaned him out?

He's always bloody injured. Looked fairly decent whenever I've seen him.

Took his chance at a big club and the money but ultimately it's been one big fat waste of time which he should have avoided.

He is not as good as other players they have in that position, same as Micah Richards - both need to move on as medals won for hardly kicking the ball are not really earned - they could both be in the WC squad but cant get picked as simply not played.

City snapped up Scott Sinclair and didnt play him - pity as it seems they will bring in homegrown players just to comply with the required quota.

      I loved this comment:

"He is the only football player that adds something special to the game. The rest are programmed puppets of FIFA."

Maybe not the only one, but certainly the best one.

Just had a quick scan of the McDsFWC rules. Not sure how many of you guys can remember the rules from the last one but it appears a sort of mish/mash between the CL & UFPL games. Major differences (if I've read things right) are :

    a) you CAN play your whole squad - only 7 subs allowed in UFPL
    b) you CAN'T change your captain
    c) same starting formation must be retained
    d) only 4 days (8th June) to fiddle with & finalise your squad......probably a good thing.

Transfers not clear at all though - anyone know anything ?

Some stats in numbers, courtesy of the Guardian. Great read.

0 No team has leapfrogged the leaders in the final day of the season to win the title since Arsenal did in the 1988-89 season.

1 This was the first time the reigning Premier League champions finished outside the top six since Blackburn Rovers, who were champions in 1994-95 and then finished seventh the next season.

1 This is the first Premier League season to feature two teams that scored over 100 goals (Manchester City on 102, Liverpool on 101). Chelsea (103) in 2009-10 are the only other Premier League team to have scored 100 in a single season.

1 This is the first season when both the bottom team at Christmas stayed up (Sunderland) and the top team didn’t win the title (Liverpool) since 1990-91, when Sheffield United stayed up and Liverpool were pipped to the league title by Arsenal.

1 Ricky van Wolfswinkel scored with his first shot on target of the season (on the opening day) but only managed eight more shots on target all season (and no more goals).

1 Marouane Fellaini provided one assist and no goals this season in the Premier League after coming up with five assists and 11 goals for Everton in 2012-13.

1 Adam Johnson was the only Englishman to score a hat-trick in the Premier League this season.

2 Liverpool and Fulham were the only teams not to be involved in any 0-0 draws this season.

4 Martin Skrtel set a new Premier League record by scoring four own goals in a single season.

6 Sunderland and Liverpool both conceded six own goals.

7 Sunderland picked up a league-high seven red cards.

7 Seven teams took more long throws than Stoke City this season (Tottenham took the most, 346).

7 The Premier League was decided on the final day for the seventh time in 22 seasons.

7 Manchester United lost seven home games this season, the most since the 1973-74 season.

8 Daniel Sturridge became the first Liverpool player to score in eight consecutive Premier League games.

10 Steven Gerrard ended the season with 10 goals from penalties.

10 This was the first season in Premier League history to see 10 managers leave a club before the final day.

10 Luis Suarez scored 10 times in December, becoming the first Premier League player to reach double figures in a single month.

12 Liverpool took 12 penalties, five more than any other team.

13 Asmir Begovic, Jesus Navas and Jay Rodriguez scored after 13 seconds this season.

13 Manchester City scored 13 goals from corners, more than any other team.

18 Cardiff scored only 18 goals from open play; fewer than any other side.

18 The youngest goalscorer in the Premier League this season was Arsenal’s Serge Gnabry, who was aged 18 years and 76 days when he scored in their away win at Swansea in September.

25 The Premier League lead changed 25 times this season. Last season it only changed four times.

25 Manchester United won 25 points fewer this season (64) than they did last year.

27 Liverpool hit the woodwork 27 times, more than any other side.

31 Luis Suarez (31) is the second player to reach 30 goals in a single Premier League season without scoring a penalty. Andy Cole managed it in the 1993-94 season, when he scored 34 goals.

32 Romelu Lukaku has scored 32 goals as a loan player in the Premier League, more than any other player in the competition’s history.

35 Frank Lampard was the oldest player to score a Premier League goal this season (35 years, 289 days), when he scored for Chelsea against Stoke in April.

49 Cardiff (49) were the only team to pick up fewer than 50 yellow cards this season.

59 Tim Sherwood (59%) has the highest winning percentage of any Tottenham Hotspur manager in Premier League history.

78 José Mourinho lost his first home league game as Chelsea manager, in his 78th Premier League match at Stamford Bridge.

85 Fulham’s total of 85 goals conceded is the second most in a 38-game Premier League season (after Derby with 89 in 2007-08).

89 Liverpool made fewer substitutions than any other team (89). Chelsea made the most (113).

121 Cheick Tiote completed 121 passes for Newcastle versus Crystal Palace in Match; the most by a player in a single Premier League appearance in 2013-14.

999 Manchester United made 999 crosses this season, more than any other side.
