After Brazil got their tournament off to a winning start yesterday, we now have three matches to focus on this evening. The second match in Group A, between Mexico and Cameroon, gets underway at 5pm before Spain take on Holland in a repeat of the 2010 World Cup Final at 8pm and Chile face Group B underdogs Australia at 11pm:

Mexico’s Oribe Peralta looks a decent differential for some ahead of the early kick-off and, whilst Spain versus Holland may have deterred many from loading up on their options for the opener, the likes of Alexis Sanchez will be backed to deliver in the late night showdown as Chile look to grab the goals before their schedule takes a turn for the worse.

Mexico Ochoa; Aguilar, Moreno, Rodriguez, Marquez, Layun; Herrera, Vazquez, Guardado; Dos Santos, Peralta.

Cameroon Itandje; Djeugoue, Chedjou, Nkoulou, Assou-Ekotto; Mbia, Enoh, Song; Choupo Moting, Eto’o, Moukandjo.

Mexico’s starting XI suggests a continuation of their 5-3-2 formation. Paul Aguilar and Miguel Layun will be handed the wing-back berths, whilst further up the field, former Tottenham man Giovanni Dos Santos is likely to be fielded in a slightly more withdrawn role behind Oribe Peralta.

Cameroon look to be setting up in a 4-3-3 formation. There are a handful of surprise selections – at the back, Cedric Djeugoue and Benoit Assout-Ekotto are selected at right-back and left-back respectively, whilst the highly-rated duo Joel Matip and Vincent Aboubakar are handed bench-warming duties.

About the McD game, its beyond me why would you start from scratch and make such a mess instead of reusing the same engine as the Euro 2012 game with only a new GUI

Couldn't agree more. To have the returning finalists play in the opening round is pretty amazing, plus we are all in the same boat with McDs anyway. Actually, we've got a better boat on this site than most considering how much crowdsourcing goes on.

I think you should stick. If this is a regular game, we'd know how many points is considered average, good or bad. In FPL terms, 6 or 9 points for Cesar is good and solid. It's still the first round, so play safe.

Does anyone have any clue that is Cesar really getting those 9 points or is there only a bug and actual points are 6? I just came here.

Yesterday = Neymar (C) and Oscar. Was sure Neymar (c) was a "stick".

Today seeing Rafa 15pts and GKs getting saves + blocks. Neymar (c) a "twist"

    best formation now?

Is it any use to change captaincy from Neymar to another attacking player? Thinking of my chili forwardinhos, Valdivia and particularly Sanchez.

Another forward is very unlikely to outscore Neymar, a defender/goalkeeper could though

Just thinking, in case that I'm twisting it to a defender/gk tomorrow anyway, I may as well see off Sanchez captaincy tonight.

On the other hand, there's the risk that the point scoring is "normalised" before the round is over, as they seem to keep on changing the points, and in that case Neymar will be a top captain choice for this round. Thinking of that, I may do wisely to keep the captaincy on him for some while to see what happens with the points in future.

I do not at all trust that McD "fantasy", or should I say nightmare, wouldn't retroactively change this within few days.
