Ahead of England’s vital Group D game against Uruguay tonight, Paddy Power are rolling out a tempting offer for those yet to register an account. With Roy Hodgson’s England set to face the South Americans at 8pm, our bookmaker mates are offering odds of 5/1 for the Three Lions to bounce back from their defeat against Italy and defeat Luis Suarez and co:

Given that the regular odds are just 11/10, this is clearly another great offer from Paddy. Click here to get involved.

Those who already have an account with Paddy can still take advantage of a Money Back Special on offer. Paddy will refund all losing First Goalscorer, Last Goalscorer, Correct Score & Scorecast singles on the match as a free bet if Uruguay win – found out more here.

To clarify, the England enhanced odds special is limited to a £10 stake, open to new Paddy Power customers only and subject to the terms and conditions specified.

Finally, of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    1. Keep captain on Gervinho (22pts)

There are just under 50 MILLION more people in the UK than in Uruguay.

So many problems with the system - do Uruguay have d**head parents who put so much pressure on their kids to make it? Do they have shitty Sunday League coaches who introduce young kids to the game by screaming at them to get a result instead of letting them enjoy and develop their game?

Probably not. The culture of football in this country just makes it more difficult to develop those top quality players, many of them come about through supreme talent as opposed to nurturing and developing them. Also in my experience young players are released by clubs so rapidly it effectively destroys their confidence completely - not many 13/14 year olds are going to bounce back from something like that.

I'll spare you and end this rant now.

GD matters though. Costa Rica have to lose one of the games by 2 or more

Depends on the toss. If Sri Lanka win it and bat it could be a very long couple of days.

Unfortunately on paper we still have a good chance of getting through. Won't happen though, doubt we'll even beat Costa Rica

But I think Italy will beat both Costa Rica and Uruguay..so it will be in England's hand only..IMO
