    Would really love LVG to take a punt on Kondogbia while his stock is so low. Was a season away from bossing it with Europe's best before his move to Monaco, haven't seen anything of him in France but by the sounds of things he isn't pulling up any trees.

    Would be good cover for now, and if he's professional he'll be world class someday, regardless of where he goes.

      Monaco will never sell him. He missed the whole beginning of the season as he played some sort of tournament during the summer and his move to Monaco happened quite late. He has been adapting to new lifestyle and clubmates so far. By the end of the season, he was almost a regular, not bossing the midfield yet but he still has many years to learn.

          Can anybody provide arguments against and for in opting for a 4-forward selection as opposed to a 3-combo forward pick?

          For example, traditionally many fantasy managers have gone for Neymar, Messi and Benzema/Muller but I've seen quite several RMTs with an additional big-hitting forward (all four of the aforementioned).

          Someone care to shed some light on this?

              Yeah, I noticed that. I think there's been a lot of good mid range midfielders. Valbuena, KdB, Herrera, Cuadrado, etc look good but it definitely makes me feel uneasy lacking the big-hitting players.

            Every so often some of these strikers are gonna have a killer game. If you have 4 of them you have a better chance of catching it. Also chances are one of your strikers will flop, so you have a backup.

              That's a fair point you make but another dilemma will strike when the first striker you deployed makes a fortune and this leaves you a huge headache whether you should sub in those solid points for a gamble from the bench.

                        Part of logic is that even when letting goals in there always seems to be at least one defender in each team gets good points, so worst case I should cover that and use other three defenders to swap

                            Yeah, Janmaat will always play. If Kuyt plays I think Blind will just take the left most CB spot, same as against Chile, with BMI waiting his turn.

                          Why do people say it's good to invest in defence in the mcd game?
                          Just because defenders score many points? So what? ALL defenders score many points in this game without rime or reason. A Greek defender losing 3-1 can just as easily score 8-9 points while a super expensive German one will score the same or less with just one goal conceded, or maybe two more points with a clean sheet.
                          Pointless.

                            Correctt. Plenty of good 4/4.5m options. A busy defender conceding a few goals is a better choice than a defender scratching his balls rather than recovering them 😉

                            Fair point. It's more about choosing the individual player from a team's defence that will score the best rather then choosing which team is going to have the best defence.
