Sky Sports Fantasy Football 2014/15 Is Now Live

As some of you may already know, the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game for 2014/15 opened its doors earlier today. With a lull in the World Cup action, Fantasy managers are afforded our first chance to dabble in domestic issues as we tentatively cobble together our initial teams for the season ahead:

The Sky Sports game is one that we’ve covered in the past, with our Members area including the relevant bonus point recipients across the positions.

After winning the Best League for each of the last couple of campaigns, we’re looking forward to defending our title once again. The winner of last season’s Scout League picked up £1,000 for their achievements and we’re hoping to offer prizes for whoever finishes at the summit once again.

We’ll be re-starting our official league soon and will be rolling out a series of articles over the next couple of weeks, looking at the Player List and analysing the best tactical approaches. Regular contributor d1sable will be on board once again to give his hints and tips every Friday afternoon – having finished inside the top 10 last year, he’s clearly a man worth listening to.

          Probably not but the chances of me predicting 4 correct scores are way higher so I've just looked at each match. if i was forced i would say Holland 2-0 but with everyone stacking up on their defenders its bound to fail lol

        After 4 rounds in McD ,do you go in with particular formation in mind & invest heavily like if you chose 4-3-3 than Def/Striker require more investment
        OR you go in with flexible team trying to cover all areas ,that is have cheapies as backup in very dept

        To rephrase it what is most preferred formation and how many playing/punts/junks are yo taking in round 5

            I'm going 5/4/1 with option to go 5/3/2 or 4/4/2 if my first striker (mueller) has a big point game
            Means I only have mueller and Robben up front with more to spend on mid and def
            So yes, I invest heavily in mid and defence with 2 solid day 2 subs at each position
            Blind/Vertonghen and Tejeda/Gago
            Although pondering replacing Tejada/Gago with Mascherano plus a 1 pointer

            I'd go Valbueana(c) over Lahm - Lahm is a solid option but first game I'd want someone who could probably won't) get a haul...can't see Lahm getting more than 10/12 points.

            you can have a captain for each day of the gameweek if you wish

            you get one captain swap but you can transfer your captain so could do something like:

            16th 17th 18th
            RVP(c) ---> Captain Swap to Aguero(c) --->> transfer Aguero to Studge (C)

                  You need to plan it around who and when they play following week. You don't want to waste transfer to get Sunday captain in if they play following Monday and you then need to sell them again and buy back

                  yep all 3 would and some times you could have a captain play sat sun tues and weds, the thing is you dont want to make that a habit as you will run out of transfers fast.

                  Best way is to use your captain swap from sat to a player playing sunday who then plays again on Sat so you can repeat the cycle.
