Sky Sports Fantasy Football 2014/15 Is Now Live

As some of you may already know, the Sky Sports Fantasy Football game for 2014/15 opened its doors earlier today. With a lull in the World Cup action, Fantasy managers are afforded our first chance to dabble in domestic issues as we tentatively cobble together our initial teams for the season ahead:

The Sky Sports game is one that we’ve covered in the past, with our Members area including the relevant bonus point recipients across the positions.

After winning the Best League for each of the last couple of campaigns, we’re looking forward to defending our title once again. The winner of last season’s Scout League picked up £1,000 for their achievements and we’re hoping to offer prizes for whoever finishes at the summit once again.

We’ll be re-starting our official league soon and will be rolling out a series of articles over the next couple of weeks, looking at the Player List and analysing the best tactical approaches. Regular contributor d1sable will be on board once again to give his hints and tips every Friday afternoon – having finished inside the top 10 last year, he’s clearly a man worth listening to.

        Me too, he seems more physical, although my viewing of him is very limited. I think Debuchy would be a good signing, he is France no.1 RB and has PL experience. My only concern is Sagna was excellent in the air and we'd lose that with Debuchy.

        As a Arsenal fan I concur, would much rather have Aurier from what I have seen. Maybe the Africans Cup Of Nations puts Wenger off, either way, I would rather have Aurier.

      Anyone will do over Jenkinson. I really think that Aurier guy would fit well, but the more I have seen of Debuchy, the more I think he is fairly solid. Unless he is hacking people down.

    For those of us playing the Sun fantasy football, where is there to go now for transfers?

    By now everyone will have some format of :

    J Rod, Muller, Robben,
    Messi, Neymar, Benzema.

    Since the defence loses points for every goal conceded past 1, is there any point in transfers elsewhere? Or am I missing something?

      A maximum of 4 of those 6 can make the semi's and this is the final transfer window, so you would be counting on the possibility of bonus transfer to keep 11 players active.

    So, I got a £20 free bet during the group stages, and went out on a limb and put it on Brazil, France, Argentina and Holland to be the semi finalists at 13/1.           Did you uninstall any toolbars/programs? I recommend going through all your installed programs and googling any that you didn't install yourself. It'll tell if it's malware or important system stuff.

            It was something running in Task Manager services, and in the Task Manager I couldn't shut it down. Managed to get into the full menu and get Windows to stop it and now they've gone. I think it may been an add on from something, I ran Spybot but that didn't pick it up, I'll run a full Malware scan in safe mode tomorrow, but for now I've disabled what was causing it.

      Apparently Großkreutz played right-back in Germany's final training. Which is OK, but unlike the Swiss team, training line-ups haven't meant much so far.

      Bild haven't got the German team right so far this tournament, wrongly predicting Khedira ahead of Schweinsteiger in the last match.

      Good of them to transfer Götze back to Dortmund in this graphic too - Jürgen Klopp will be pleased.

        yeah, could be nice route. Basically I decided that my cheap defender of choice is Scott Dann so I've to find 3 ways rotations that work with him

        Burnley and QPR or West Brom

        and

        West Ham and Stoke are the best I've found

        The other option is Cahill plus a West Ham, Palace, Stoke and Swansea defender/Trippier

    Lionel Messi has failed to score in his last seven games against Thibaut Courtois.

    Thibaut Courtois has 21 caps for Belgium..and never lost a single game.

          Probably Cahill, think there's more value there than Courtois. Keepers are all about save points and the cheaper ones will pick them up.

                  I have issues with both tbh

                  I do like Schmeichel but I'm not sure how solid Leicester will be (18 CS last season but 9 H and 9 A) and there's still Vorm. Burnley got 18 CS as well but 11 H and 7 A. I prefer my rotation keepers to be more obviously solid at home

                  All these things really do leave me tempted to stick a DDG or Courtois in and just forget about a keeper for the season

    I have chose Blind and de Vrij , and Vlaar as my Dutch defence, is this a risk worth taking? My other defender is Alderwield I was thinking Hummel to replace him what do other people reckon?
