With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

D1sable tells us he wants a Manchester United and a Chelsea defender but he is unsure about Luis Felipe’s game time and doesn’t trust Manchester United defenders to stay fit. Luke Shaw’s fitness is a particular concern.

He hasn’t gone for rotation at the back, just selected defenders from defensive sides. While in midfield he really wants Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure but he has found he just decimates the team with his price. Toure could be brought in with a wildcard later. He is also a reluctant owner of Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata, with Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas waiting in the wings. Liverpool’s attack is another area he feels he is lacking and he is concerned that Diego Costa may not be the best route into Chelsea goals and assists.

Would appreciate some feedback on my team. My biggets concern is that my budget defenders not playing and that my midfield is to heavy compared to the strikers.

  Nice midfield, Silva is the only dodgy one. Personally I'd change him to a cheapo who you don't intend to play, and improve Bojan. Play Siggy every week.
  
  Wisom, Mariappa and Ben Davies aren't guaranteed starters at the moment I believe. I also think Debucy is not a good pick for the start of the season. Arsenal's fixtures aren't great, they'll be without Mertesacker for GW1.
  
  I'd take Dzeko over Giroud given the fixtures and Wenger's comments about Giroud's fitness.

  Love the Bojan/siggy rotation.
  Strong defence and yes wisdom may not play at all now after the WC sensation rightback from costa rica joined the albions. GAMBOA
  Rooney Giroud Bojan is pretty heavy hitting if they all get to play no doubt.

  As an Arsenal supporter I can see that Giroud will shine this season. However we have kind of a tough fixtures in the first 7 GWs.
  Wisdom might not play , otherwise Bojan is a great budget option.
  Also, I'm not fond of expensive GKs as they score as much as the mid-priced ones, but that's your call obviously.

  Looks pretty good. Fletcher's a nice pick and he's letting you get Baines, which could be either brilliant or terrible. Personally, I'm not keen on Baines, I think he's too expensive for a player with his fixtures and Europa. But I'm not so bold as to say definitively that he won't do well.

      Fair enough, if you believe, you believe and you should trust yourself on that.
      
      My team will probably be the subject of one of the daily RMTs so everyone can have a good point and laugh. But I'm pretty pleased with it:
      
      Bego (no-one)
      Azpi - Evans - van Aanholt - Mariappa - Wisdom
      Rambo - Mata - Lamela - Sterling - Siggy
      Pigwig - Costa - (Naismith)
      
      Naismith is the weird one but he played a part in most games last season and Martinez likes him. With Mirallas probably out of GW1, he will probably start against Leicester so I don't need to play Siggy against United. Thereafter, Naismith will do a decent job for me as backup.
      
      I'm not totally set. I might try to squeeze 1m from somewhere to do Lamela > Fabregas.

        I think its alrite, wouldnt be my pref to have lamela though. Naismith will be ok as a bench man anyway and them 5 mids should do the job. Are you worried about having no city players?

        I don't really believe in 'coverage', I just look at individual players. I wouldn't mind having Silva and he'd be an alternative to Lamela if I could squeeze 1.0m from somewhere.

        Tough in that team, if you want to dent the defense then you could raise 1m. Swap beg to 4.5 GK and downgrade v.aanholt or mariappa to 4m but thats dangerous play. Or push evan down to 5 mil def and GK changeover. Its so hard tho

        Yep, those were the options I was looking at. Considered Azpi > 5m Spurs defender but no-one knows which of the 5m options will play.

  Good keeper rotation (whether QPR keep any cleanies this time round remains to be seen) and the backline is very decent.
  
  But I think you've spread it a bit thin and you're always going to have a minimum of 6.0m on the bench. I just wonder if you need to concentrate those funds a bit more. Pick one of Fletcher or Jovetic and upgrade the other by downgrading one of your mids. I know that's the boring template approach but it is a fairly proven formula.

      If you were playing them all, Sterling & Fletcher would beat Sturridge & Albrighton but since you have to bench one of them, I'd say Sturridge is worth it. I'd actually say, for the start of the season, that Costa would be a better bet than Sturridge but it's a close call.

Pelle, Rooney, 12.5 left for s forward

Subs GW1 Myhill, Clyne, Siggy, Albrighton

Resting Siggy, Clyne due to matchups. Planning to use the 12.5 Striker slot with my weekly transfer to pick up a top notch forward with a good matchup - probably COSTA in GW1 and use subs in a 343 mostly although it is 433 this week. Thoughts/advice/critique??

Improvements on this team? Manages to fit 10 top six players in the starting line up as well. Only one I'm not sure on is Silva, has he played any preseason?

  Very nice . I think a good balance to it. The only slight worry is dzeko- average fixtures and a rotation risk. I'd personally try and get a second heavy hitter striker to give you another reliable captain choice.

  Diego Costa had an awful world cup and needs time to settle. I'd say take him out for someone cheaper, and upgrade wisdom. Take caulker out aswell.

I had the idea to use this rotation not just for my defence, but for all my team.

My team right now is this:

It doesn't look very good but I have 3,5m in the bank, so I can upgrade one mid. I can also downgrade JT or/and baines to a 6/5.5 defender which leaves me space to upgrade another midfielder or bojan or even bony.

The questions are

1)do you like the plan?
2)Should I keep the 3.5m and use them after GW1 or should I use them before?
3)Should I downgrade Terry/baines and if yes which midfielder or striker should I upgrade?

  Too risky IMO. You only have 5 "heavy hitters".
  The teams listed are very unreliable , even at home.
  Maybe try to downgrade Terry and use the money to upgrade Bony/Bojan and a midfielder.

  Strike force almost non existent. I think you need at least two big strikers as you'll usually captain one. I'd achieve this through downgrading the defence, probably skrtel who may not play.

  skrtel isn't worth the money id say...luis and davies also aren't nailed, and I don't like debuchy for the start of the season - think about cahill/terry jones/evans ward clyne caulker curtis davies

  I agree with Eboue. I also started with one big striker and two budget ones but I realized it's too much of a risk. Long is quite unreliable and Bojan could either shine (i'm risking with him) or end in tears (as fellow member suggested). Debuchy produces a lot of yellow cards and hardly hits any assists, plus Arsenal's schedule is not light at all - I don't see many Clean sheets coming (and I'm an Arsenal fan!) Luis is good choice and the midfield is class.
  
  My team is a bit above, RMT if you feel like it.

Defence feels a little too weak. Perhaps Nasri for Yaya and then Cahill for Bruce?

  Looks good! That's the price you pay for Yaya, he's a great pick, but very very expensive, so most aren't sure if he's worth the extra 2mill outlay over someone like Silva/Ramsey

    Haha ok in all seriousness my midfield has no differentials really, just Lamela, if I REALLY wanted to go off the wall and make a differential team full of under 5% players, it would look different 😉
    
    Sturridge seems like a differential around these parts, nobody is picking him..

  not a fan of debuchy
  ward and dann are better options than Delaney (he is struggling with injury)

  Don't think Leicester will keep too many clean sheets so maybe Krul would be a better idea for the same price (although you do have van Aaanholt so could be an issue) or just downgrade to 4.0 as DDG will do the job.
  Personally I prefer option A.
  I think Costa will have a big year while for some reason Hazard will have a poor one.
