With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

Azpilicueta – Evans – van Aanholt – (Wisdom – Bartley)
Mata – Fabregas – Ramsey – Sterling – Sigurdsson
Rooney – Costa – (Zamora)

Roscola admits his team has a major flaw in that it is potentially benchless. He says though that he’s happy for QPR striker Bobby Zamora never to play, because this is a 3-5-2 that reverts to four at the back for first sub. He believes that there are more points available in the budget bracket in defence than further upfield. Sticking with this basic strategy he is looking for advice to find extra funds to invest in his bench. Downgrading Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas to Manchester City’s Samir Nasri is one option he is considering.

  Better options than Vlaar there for 4.5m since Villa are usually dreadful in defence. Defence a bit weak, maybe downgrade Sanchez to Ramsey just to beef it up.

Don't want change my goalies and my forwards, Clyne and Chambers (i now i need to say goodbye to him in September)

Player i can fit: Ramsey, Sterling, Hendo, Evans, Mariappa/Van Aanholt, Fabregas

I'm worried about the lack of Ramsey and/or Sterling/Hendo in my team, and no united defensive cover.. should i try get them, downgrading Haz to Fabregas and upgrade Eriksen, or use money to upgrade Ward to Evans.
Other option downgrade Ward/Azpi and Haz to Fabregas and upgrade Isgrove to Hendo?

  I'd consider downgrading Hazard to Fabregas and upgrading Eriksen to Ramsey. It'd probably be a better combination.

  I would probably downgrade Terry and upgrade Snodgrass and Elliot. Reasons being: I don't think a Chelsea defender is absolutely crucial early on, and not sure that I would want to rely on Newcastle defence week in week out. And then rest of the funds may as well go somewhere and Snodgrass the obvious pick in midfield.

    I've shared three times on here with Costa Rooney Sturridge (see the hot topic), and yes they do look good-very good in fact.
    
    I'm tempted by the Burnley and Leicester fixtures that Chelsea have early on. Too tempting for me to remove Terry- add to the fact that there are no options that I like above 6 and below 8

  Honestly, I don't really rate it too highly myself. Weak defensively (Is Terry going to play all that much?) and I think Sturridge is massively overpriced while Costa has never played in the Prem 9although his friendly form is good). Also, no keeper rotation.
  
  Basically, if your forwards don't fire you're stuffed (although granted, if they all fire you'll be in the points).

  Nice, although Baines has terrible fixtures and doesnt represent value for me - could upgrade Pelle to Dzecko/Giroud with the extra cash. Terry likely to be rotated? - switch to Cahill for me.

I think I am pretty much there now, but would really appreciate your advice:

Foster Krul
Luis Ward Chambers Wisdom Vlaar
Mata Siggy Fabregas Ramsey (Marney)
Dzeko/Giroud Costa Rooney

What do you guys think? I know Chambers is short term, so I might go Chambers/Ward > Debuchy/4.5m

Similarly, Luis may become Cahill (but I would have to downgrade Ward).

Any other gaping holes please? Thanks in advance

    I plan to have Chambers for his inevitable price rise after GW1 then swap Lovren for Debuchy as barring injuries if one doesn't play the other will.
    I'm also not sold on the sig/bojan rotation long turn but seems the best option initially

  I like this. Strong upfront (and if Costa doesn't hit the ground running he's an easy transfer for Rooney or a lower value striker+cash).
  
  Solid midfield (although personally I prefer Hazard to Fabregas) and I can't fault the defence.

    Costa is unproven (although I can easily upgrade) and I don't see Sturridge as being the same goal-scoring threat he was with Suarez, certainly not worth 11.5M.

      Forward line looks very weak. Costa is proven in La Liga and has been on fire pre-season - cannot see Gerrard scoring as many pens without Suarez....but that's only my opinion
