The Rate My Team Discussion

With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

For today’s final RMT discussion we’ve managed to grab Mark’s current lineup…

DeGea, Elliot
Ivanovic, Caulker, C Davies, Debuchy, Hutton
Ramsey, Sterling, Mutch, Siggurdson, Young
Rooney, Costa, Giroud

So Mark has currently ditched the Bojan/Sigurdsson rotation and opted for three big-hitters up front. He’s turned down the option of Jovetic and backed Arsenal with three players, despite a testing opening to their season. He’s spent on goal threat at the back with Ivanovic, Caulker and Curtis Davies, whilst he’s banking on Ashley Young to help compensate for the loss of Juan Mata.

    RMT 1-10 please, hopefully my last one;

    Foster - Begovic
    Cahill - Jones - van Aanholt - Coloccini - Moore
    Mata - Mutch - Fabregas - Ramsey - Henderson
    Rooney - Campbell - Diego Costa

    Planning to rotate the following depending on fixtures;

    Foster and Begovic
    van Aanholt and Coloccini
    Mutch and Campbell

    Can anyone suggest any better rotation options? With the exception of Sigurdsson and Bojan.

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

      Looks decent: 8/10

      I like the doubling up of Rooney and Mata - I think they will start well. Not so convinced by Fabregas and Costa. I think Fabregas will play too deep to score highly every week (though I thought that about Ramsey last year)

      Chester (Hull) and Trippier (Burnley) could work nicely.
      Or Ward and Caulker (though that one is more expensive and probably not worth it).

      I'd say you're pretty much good to go. Good luck!

    Final, FINAL decision, and it's one that's bugged me for weeks.

    Mata or Ramsey?

    I can't have both.

    I don't have any other Arsenal attack. I do have United attack in the form of Rooney.

    My head says Ramsey. My gut says Mata.

    Any further complicating of this battle would be welcomed.
