The final match of Gameweek 1 arrives this evening as promoted Burnley prepare for the visit of Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea. The Blues are heavily backed heading into this one, with both Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas currently sitting in more than 20% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) teams, while up front, summer signing Diego Costa will be looking to grab the goals and strengthen his armband credentials ahead of next week’s home encounter with Leicester:

Certainly, the stage is set for Costa to deliver after a disappointing series of displays from a number of forwards over the weekend, where only one (Saido Berahino) managed double-figure returns.

At the back, Jose Mourinho opts for Thibaut Courtois between the sticks, with Petr Cech relegated to the Blues’ bench. The Chelsea manager keeps faith with the familiar defence that earned 18 shut-outs last term, with new boy Filipe Luis amongst the substitutes.

    who is your favourite pundit apart from neville?

    i can;t really think of another that really stands out as someone who i always look forward to watching. Henry is quite good on BBC, Carragher is decent too.

      I think he's gone from being the most important attacking option at Mourinho's disposal to actually being in danger of not even making the starting XI. If they play 4-2-3-1 you are looking at Him, Oscar, Willian, Salah, Schurlle fighting out for 3 places but this also would only leave 2 places between Matic/Cesc/Ramires/Mikel so there would be potential for Ramires and Cesc in particular to be deployed further forward giving him even more competition. If they went for a 4-3-3 then you'd expect Matic-Cesc-Ramires to be the first 3 with him then fighting out with the others for 2 spaces. By contrast you have similarly priced Diego Costa absolutely nailed on up front.

        That'd be a turn up for the books for sure, but he wouldn't be the first big player to fall foul of Mourinho's plans, not by a long way.
