Every time Chelsea buy a 'world class' striker, they destroy him. Just look at Crespo, Shevchenko and Torres, to name but a few. So what makes you think Diego Costa will be any different?

Crespo had a couple of good years at Lazio and Parma (I think), but he started getting injuries before he arrived at Chelsea. By the time he got there he was a spent force similar to what happened with Torres.
As for Shevchenko, from what I remember it was Abramovich who pushed hard for him to be recruited. But he didnt fit the style Chelsea were playing then and was probably just too slow for the PL.
Its not that Chelsea are destroying strikers it they are buying the wrong ones who are often passed their prime and it says more about their scouting than anything elseOpen Controls

Well there is a huge difference in hitting an accurate ball on your own half then outside oppositions box... but yes i have checked his stats on whoscored and they are amazing, my point being that no one is essential.
ChelseS style of play is hugely different then Arsenals were then, one is defensive as hell one is the opposite.

Evening all, just a quick one re price changes. According to TotalFPL a few are currently sitting at nearly 200% progress for a price rise. How does this work?
