Saturday’s schedule concludes with the headline act. Arsenal make the trip to Goodison Park looking to build on the stuttering 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on the opening day. The Toffees meanwhile, will also be looking to improve on their first showing, having been pegged back to 2-2 by newly promoted Leicester a week ago.

Arsene Wenger rings the changes with a few surprises. He welcomes back two of his German contingent as Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker return to the starting lineup. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also starts, while Nacho Monreal comes in for Kieran Gibbs at the back. Santi Cazorla and Laurent Koscielney drop to the bench, with Calum Chambers retaining his start at the back. Olivier Giroud again starts from the bench with Alexis Sanchez set to be fielded in a central attacking role.

Roberto Martinez also tweaks his lineup with Seamus Coleman and Kevin Mirallas drafted in – John Stones and Aiden McGeady make way.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

        not to take credit from martinez but wenger is redic doesn't learn, I know they had a qualifier but that line up is simply him thinking they too good for everton and underplaying their quality. who of the other top teams would play that lineup in evertons first home game of the season and think they have a shot of winning. 2nd goal offside but still they've been outplayed and everton deserve a 2 goal lead
