The second Gameweek of the season kicks off with one for the neutrals. Even at this fledgling stage in the season, the encounter between Aston Villa and Newcastle looks every inch a mid-table clash, filled with an array of budget and mid-price Fantasy assets which, while unlikely to form mainstays in our squads, still warrant our attention.

There’s certainly potential on show, with both sides fielding budget defensive curiosities in the shape of Alan Hutton and Paul Dummett. Elsewhere, Villa’s Charles N’Zogbia will continue to attempt to revive his top flight career against one of his former clubs, while Newcastle’s fresh cast of talent – notably Remy Cabella and Emmanuel Riviere – will have another attempt our turning our heads in the hunt for differentials.

The early kick-off is followed by a quartet of three o’clock clashes, before Everton host Arsenal in the big evening clash.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

As a Newcastle fan that was a very frustrating first half...

We had some really nice build up play, but the finishing was atrocious. Cabella painful to watch atm - though I do expect he'll improve.

Really need De Jong on there to provide some quality.

Yes, but we don't have that kind of quality striker off the bench atm unfortunately, whereas SDJ had the experience and quality to turn the game.

Yes. I consider Siggy to be a top option but I thought if he was on the wing in a 4-4-2 he would be sharing his points quite a lot with Gomis/Bony. May still get him in for GW3 though, no doubting his quality.

Same reason why I switched him off my GW1 team. It didn't work out. We'll see what happens from here on in though. If I wait to buy GW3, minus well wait for GW5 if his output slows down and the bandwagon loses some steam.

The only positive thing about this game is Hutton. So far this is a very boring tiki-taka game. Heavy possesion based football from both teams. We need hardcore, tough, strong, agressive heavy-metal football, we need more Huttons. This is England after all.

I was on the verge of going ballsy and giving Pelle the captains armband today. Bottled it though and went Costa. Frightfully boring of me I know but it's early yet in the season for mad differential punts.

How are we all ? I'm glad I don't have anything invested in this game. It's even more boring than my captain choice.

I feel that Hutton is bound to do something of note second half, a goal, an assist or a red card.
