Sunday serves up a trio of Gameweek encounters, with Thursday’s Europa League ties pushing Hull and Tottenham’s home fixtures alongside Man United’s trip to the Stadium of Light.

Events begin at the KC Stadium and White Hart Lane, with Steve Bruce’s Hull hosting Stoke and Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs facing a London derby clash with QPR. Fantasy managers will be focused mainly on the latter, with Christian Eriksen the top owned asset on show from the early kick-offs.

Attention then turns to the North East, with Louis van Gaal’s United outfit taking on Sunderland in a bid to get their season underway following the opening day defeat to Swansea. With a staggering 48% ownership, Wayne Rooney remains the headline act, while Juan Mata’s 19% ownership will be holding out for returns in order to stem a tide of sales that have already seen the Spanish playmaker drop in price.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Fabregas is about to rise to 9.2 and Mata is at 8.9 If you sell Fabregas at 9.1 and get Mata at 8.9, that's a 0.2 profit.

              11 years, 3 months ago

Yep. Then you do lose out 0.1 on Fab but an option to get Hazard at a later time might be smart instead. We'll see 🙂

to all Caulker owners (including me):

He could have easily scored a goal in his 1st match if it was not for the clearance off the line and in this match we weren't expecting much and benched him anyway (3rd sub in my case). However, the home match against Sunderland was what we were gonna play him.

So nothing has changed....don't sell...keep him at least for the next match!!!

Assisting the Assister in the FPL.

Canadian here & in Ice Hockey "an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team".

"The assists will be awarded in the order of play, with the last player to pass the puck to the goal scorer getting the primary assist and the player who passed it to the primary assister getting the secondary assist."

Now, wouldn't it be nice to reward players like Gerrard or Yaya's great through balls that are key to the play by giving them perhaps 1 point for a secondary assist?

Granted, this would be subjective on some level but, after Lukaku's 9 assists last year, aren't they all?

Finally, before we shun the idea the FPL already took a page from ice hockey's book by rewarding assists to the original shooter from a rebound given up by a goaltender.

Agree. Very often the creator doesn't get the credit in assist terms, compared to somebody tapping the ball for an indirect free kick etc.
