The Dugout Discussion – Burnley Vs Man United

Gameweek 3 gets underway with a lunchtime encounter between Burnley and troubled United. Having lost their first two matches, the Clarets are desperate to get points on the board and will certainly be buoyed by the current form of today’s opponents, as Louis van Gaal’s side stumble from one poor result to another.

With Angel di Maria poised to make his debut for the visitors, though, Fantasy owners of United’s attackers have a renewed sense of optimism for the Turf Moor meet. Captain Poll favourite Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Robin van Persie are all more than capable of delivering in emphatic fashion and could be set to benefit from the Argentine’s arrival.

Following this one, we have five matches to savour at 3pm before Everton host Chelsea in the evening kick-off at Goodison.

Mata is still probably the best United 'cover' considering his price and average returns.

Dzeko, Mata, Rooney... terrible start to the weekend. I guess I can kiss the top 1k goodbye.

Costa starting and scoring a brace would be the cherry on top.

Begovic to save an Aguero penalty, then come off with a slight strain but a clean sheet.

Dzeko repalces Aguero, and scores a brace in the last 10 minutes.

Really don't understand why LVG and Moyes did not play Januzaj more as he is one of the few players who actually performs.

He should start Janujaz & ADM either side of RVP (Or Rooney)
Would get the best out of all three players then.
It's just the squad is so lopsided.
Mata never should have been signed, with 20-20 hindsight

Mata is a brilliant player but if they are not going to play a system that uses his full potential then I agree with you that he should not have been signed.
