Afternoon all
The Dead Zone seems to have become Tale Of Woe Zone so here's mine: Diouf and Mutch to Albrighton and Jovetic for a hit. Captained the big-chinned Serb over Siggy and Ramsey as well, just to make it worse.I hate my team. Help please!

Who selects The Scout Picks?
Yet another massive fail.Exactly. Ppl that are stuck in 2006/7
How so?
Not sure why you're so full of yourself as a FPL player.
Umm it's been a massive fail of a GW.
Calm down mate. No need to kick off about it.
I'm always worry when the Scout Picks are similar to my squad. Fortunately this week wasn't one of them.
The people who pick them are very good ff players. Nobody expected stoke to win 1-0 against a city side who have been prolific for a long time
Agreed. Not many people would have picked the likes of matic, Ramires and shawcross this weekend. I had eight of the picks this weekend too.
Most people were predicting a mancity rout.
Just proves how random the average GW can be
If you don't like the suggestions then ignore themNo one would pick 3 Newcastle players. One didn't play and another was playing his first full match. Two Man City forwards were over-kill.
To many eggs in two baskets.harry hindsight
if someone throw you a bone and you eat it, dont moan about the taste.
What to do with this lot?
Begovic (Gilks)
Terry Naylor Wisdom Hutton Dummett
Mata Siggy Sterling Fabregas Ramsey
Costa Rooney
1m in the bank.Mata--->Eriksen?
2FT's, probably going to wait until nearer GW4. Which 2 do you prefer?
a) Mutch > Zaha
b) Chambers > Wilson
c) Mata > Sterling/Lamela
d) Jovetic > AdebayorA and C
Sterling over Lamela?
Yes
No! Get Sterling
CD
C and D without looking at the rest of your team.
C + D imo
Maybe B if you didn't swap for wilson
Any Mods on here ATM?
Yes
I am the proud of owner of one Costa and a slightly concerned owner of a Rooney. I have the money to get augero will we really see rooneys price drop? If so should I get him now?
I'm keeping for QPR - have a Caulker vs Rooney shoot out to see which one bites the bullet for GW5 🙂
So glad all my potential captain options yesterday failed (Other than Siggy would I didnt really consider)... Sanchez (c) here we go! 😀
As a non Sanchez owner and not a supporter of the gunners.. i think tonight he will go nuts
Good Luck GB - C in UFPL for me - But more importantly love to see him start firing.
Predictions for Spurs vs Liverpool?
Good game regardless of FPL outcome
Indeed. As a spurs fan I wouldn't take anything but a win.
Probably a draw at best tbh. Think a pool win is more likely. I got Studge captain
1-1
2-2
2-1
6-3 to Spurs
Lamela 6 goals
Sterling 3 goalsEriksen 6 assists please??
That would be incredible.
Sure,why not?
Very kind of you, cheers
3-1
Spurs win. I have a lot if belief in pochettino, as a Southampton fan
1-3
Morning guys!
Bego (Hamer)
Ivanovic Clyne Caulker (PVA Moore)
Mata Rambo Eriksen Siggurdson (Albrighton)
Rooney Jovetic Costa
1 FT 0.0 itb
Who to get rid?
A) mata
B) rooney
C) joveticMata > Sterling
Is this worth a -8 hit.
Terry to Ivanovic
Rooney to Costa
Jovetic to Adebayor (depending on how he goes)
Will give me
Krul (Elliott)
Ivanovic, Clyne, Chester (Hutton, Moore)
Ramsey, Sterling, Fabregas, Siggy (Silva)
Costa (c), Adebayor, Naismith
I think I'll do the 1st 2 tonight (NZ time) to beat price changes for a -4. I might actually keep Jovetic as he seems to be hot & cold (1st game blank, 2nd game 2 goals, 3rd game blank so he could score a couple in gw4). I might use my 3rd transfer to go Moore to Dier or Rose. Spurs have signed the new defender but would they actually drop Dier who has been one of Spurs best players.Don't do the Terry=> Ivan transfer imo
The other 2 are looking good
Is there much point hanging on to Jovetic? Arsenal and Chelsea up next.
dunno actually, most people got more pressing matters to get rid of ManU assets.
But his starting chances are looking slim
Considering Pelle myselfTraditionally City are a side that can score against anyone, but if they blank at home to Stoke then it doesn't bode well. Keep but monitor
Nope, reason I didn't bring him in. But that's just my opinion
With Bayern away sandwiched in the middle. Three hard games in 8 days. Who knows though, they surely can't be as sloppy as they were yesterday again.
Di Maria will become essential this season. He looked very dangerous yesterday while still looking off from his normal ability. Keeping my eye on him..
Where did he play, through the middle or wide?
both
he was everywhere..free movement..lots of killer balls
Definitely worth monitoring. I get the feeling he'll be like Fabregas, class and just that slight edge better than most others but will be feeding the goal shooters. Hoping Rooney and RVP can get their radars sorted out
I think these 2 weeks will be very helpful..sort out the final pieces of the team with 1-2 more signings and then have a bit more time to train together and gel..United still have 3 kind fixtures in a row (4 even if you want to consider attacking potential vs Everton)
Through the middle. Bit of a Fabregas role
He looked great, will only get sharper with fitness.
and chemistry/understanding with the squad..he maybe trained once or twice!? and still picked out passes..
A lot of his clever passes and runs didn't come off because the other players didn't read them (and RVP was off the pace). Going forward things can only get better once the rest gel with Di Maria.
However all that is undermined by the back 3 and wingbacks being out of position, making loose passes and lumping long balls over DiM's head.I think we'll eventually switch to a 4-3-1-2/4-3-3 formation once the window is closed..we already secured Blind and are rumored to be in for another CB and CM/DM
I see all these purchases as personnel to fit into his 3-4-1-2 system.
Blind will be cover for DiM and Shaw (probably ousting Shaw as wing back).
the CM/DM needs to be a Keane-like enforcer rather than Fletcher and the CB goes without saying.
René Meulensteen is in talks with LvG regarding a return to Man Utd. 😉
Is Dier a regular now in Spurs defense, now that Dawson is gone? Is there any other 5.5m or less defeder worth having for the next few fixtures.
There's Kaboul and Vertonghen for the CB positions, so he's by no means nailed when Walker is back
- New Post
I watched the games yesterday and got the feeling yaya is soon going back to be an essentiel again..
I love Neil Warnocks reply to the injury time minutes " yeah I thought it should of been nine if I'm honest! He wasn't complaining before we scored."
Quality interviewSo, need to get rid of Jovetic? Difficult fixtures plus uncertainty about minutes? Right!?
Ade is the natural choice, but any views on Naismith...? He played really well, and
fixtures are turning better for Everton...any other ideas? The man on form at the moment. I'm thinking Dzeko to Naismith. Can really strengthen the rest of the team with the extra cash
roonpig or mata a better choice?
roon means 10 ITB for 2 mids alongside fab, ramz and sig
or mata means and 11.6 ITB needing a FW & MDAny thoughts on the long term strike force for Everyone once everyone is fit?
aguero, sturr, costa
🙂
keep thinking manquilo is coutniho
Mata's transfers have been reset to 0. Doubt he'll even drop 0.1m this gw. Transfers stall during Int. break and pick up on Thursdats and Fridays before the start of gw 4.
Doing wc...
A) Ivanovic, Vertonghen, Naismith
B) 2x4.5 def, Aguero... (here i have to downgrade Haz to Lamela)
Rest of team...
Krul
Clyne, Chambers, Wisdom
Ramsey, Sterling, Siggy, Marney
Rooney, Costa...DECIDED.
WC. Not Activated !!!Hi guys! What's about average around here? Thought it had been a bad one but the average seems low.
Anyway, I won't be much use on Saints this week but I was at the Newcastle game as my boyfriend is a magpie. Just thought I'd offer some thoughts on them:
Lots of silly mistakes defensively that could be cut out. Palace played decent counter attacking football but they weren't closed down anywhere near enough and Newcastle looked petrified of Zaha.
Aarons changed the game for Newcastle. He was full of running, jumping and high energy football and supplied decent balls into dangerous areas. Cabella continued to be a nuisance for the defence all game but his delivery let him down.
De Jong looked sorely off the pace. I felt the midfield were carrying him for large parts of the game and he failed to truly influence play. In FPL, I'd have Cabella over De Jong every week based on the displays I saw.
The main problem for Newcastle is upfront. I didn't think Rivière was terrible but he struck me as someone who wanted to play with someone else upfront - De Jong wasn't providing the support he wanted. Rivière would move into the channels to leave space in the middle but no one would occupy it. He's not the right striker for the system that Newcastle play.I've got 50 points with Sterling and Ramsey left to play, pretty happy with that.
Also, congrats on the Southampton win, I'm really rooting for them this season, I want Koeman and Pelle to do well this season. 😀Thanks for the support!
I'm on 48 with the same two left so I shall be positive 🙂
Thanks!
Oh and Haidara played well. After midweek, I predicted he'd snatch Dummett's place and he looked like a decent pick.
For Pardew, not FPL.
Cheers for that lucy! I'm glad I went Cabella over de Jong now. 5 points 😀
Yeah I don't know if it's a fitness issue or what but De Jong looked a bit lost.
Cheers Lucy.
Cissé should be back next weekend. Think he might actually play.Think he has a great chance
God I miss him 😉
You had me up until "boyfriend".
What kind of comment is that?
Lol, outside the 100k mark. I'm sure she's miles ahead of you pal, hard not to be!:)
Ty wiil keep an eye on Cabella
will
