With the first international break of the season already underway, we scour the Premier League treatment rooms to assess the players who picked up injuries over the weekend action.

Arsenal
Laurent Koscielny was withdrawn midway through the first-half of yesterday’s trip to Leicester after sustaining a head injury. Arsene Wenger reckons the Frenchman “should be alright” in a week, while the Gunners boss also revealed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (calf) and Mesut Ozil (ankle) picked up problems in the 1-1 stalemate.

Aston Villa
Skipper Ron Vlaar was subbed off due to a calf complaint in Villa’s win over Hull, Paul Lambert has confirmed.

Chelsea
Oscar was unavailable for the Blues’ trip to Everton in Saturday evening after being ruled out with an ankle problem. Eden Hazard has since pulled out of the Belgium squad with a “small injury”.

Crystal Palace
Marouane Chamakh is set to be sidelined for a month with the hamstring problem picked up during the weekend draw at Newcastle. Fellow forward Dwight Gayle was also withdrawn at St James’ Park after sustaining an ankle knock but is expected to be fit in time for Gameweek 4.

Everton
Similar to Chelsea’s Hazard, Romelu Lukaku has also withdrawn from international duties for Belgium due to a small injury.

Man City
Summer signing Fernando was subbed off during the first half of Saturday’s home loss to Stoke with a groin problem, Manuel Pellegrini admitted post-match.

Man United
Initial reports suggested Juan Mata was replaced with three minutes remaining of United’s draw at Burnley with a hamstring problem. Louis van Gaal has since stated the Spaniard was withdrawn due to cramp. The Red Devils’ boss also confirmed Angel di Maria was subbed off as a precautionary measure after sustaining a knock on his calf.

Newcastle
Newcastle right-back Daryl Janmaat was withdrawn with just three minutes left of Saturday’s clash against Palace after picking up a knock.

Stoke
Peter Odemwingie was forced off with a knee problem just 20 minutes after appearing off the bench in the Potters’ win at City.

Tottenham
Danny Rose was withdrawn midway through the second-half of yesterday’s home loss to Liverpool with a leg problem.

Why do clubs wait till deadline day to sign players? Smaller clubs is understandable, but big clubs isn't.

Are these large 'loan fees' or loan fees in general a new thing? Is Financial Fair Play related? I don't recall them previously (probably getting old!). I assume in the event of a permanent deal they would be knocked off the transfer fee?

          Cleverley staying at United. 😆

This is the problem with English youngsters - money more important than minutes.

As long as Falcao comes in 11.5m or less I reckon you can get a balanced team with Aguero, Falcao, Costa frontline. Just means some sacrifices of likes of Ivan.

If he comes in around Rooney's price I can get this and save a FT for next week if I really want to get him early, which is highly unlikely:

            Fàbregas - Ramsey - Sterling - Sigurdsson
            Agüero - Costa - Falcao

                    United fans local team bashing

This is like your exam finishing, and then you say to the invigilator:

'Please, I haven't finished, I've had 5 months (3660 hours or so), but I need 1 hour more'

          Jeez.

I think my team is okay. Please tell me any improvements you think I could make.

            De Gea
            Fonte--Lovren--Hutton
            Hazard--Fabregas--Ramsey--Siggy--Sterling
            Costa--Naismith

            On Bench Myhill--Oshea--Campbell--Chester

I am thinking its not safe with all three of hazard costa and fabregas incase of a bad game or an upset etc. I'm thinking Schneiderlin for fabregas. Leaving me around 7m to spend on team. (2.5m ITB) I have a free transfer and so might take a couple of hits if needed. Thanks all. Hppe to hear from ya.

You need two big hitters upfront if playing 3-5-2 in my opinion.

Naismith is holding the line pretty well.. I will splash the cash on Falcao perhaps if he comes. But I don't think I need to ATM.

Seen as though you haven't already got Rooney take a hit on Hazard > Tadic or Lamela (If you have enough) then do Naismith > Balotelli

Why would I want Rooney? He has done nothing special so far. I do have 2.5m in the bank.. Balo is a risk I'll see how he does first.

If they sign Vidal and Shawcross, well, then they have made some good business. Expensive business, but good business.

SHawcross would be an awful buy. Not good enough on the ball, especially for an LVG team.

Danny Welbeck is having a medical at Arsenal, Sky are now saying. That’s what happens when you barricade yourself in the London Colney physio room. It might just be a rub down after England’s sesh from earlier, of course. [Guardian]
