The final instalment in our series of Big Numbers articles focussing on Gameweeks 1-3 is rolled out this evening. After assessing the fortunes of defenders and midfielders, we now turn our attentions to the men up front – Chelsea and Southampton’s summer signings come under assessment, as do Everton’s in-form budget striker and the contrasting fortunes of a pair of Manchester-based front men.

I've got the funds for Aguero but I think I want to see what Balotelli can do for the next two weeks. Can't argue with that.

We'll see in a month or so when Aguero is in dry dock again and Webeck is feeding off Sanchez, Caz, Ramsey and co..Arsenal have created more chances than any other team this season btw...

game per game..maybe not...over a period of time very likely...and he's a lot less, Players are paid to play football not sit on the bench. It's why the best striker in the league is in ninth place in the table between Ulloa and Chamakh...

How's this for a wildcard team?

    Krul/McCarthy
    Ivanovic/Clyne/Pieters/Taylor/Trippier
    Sig/Sterling/Tadic/Lamela/Zaha
    Aguero/Costa/Welbeck

Bit concerned about McCarthy, and I'd probably have Balotelli instead of Aguero for the next couple of games, but I have zero left in the bank and bought Aguero at £12m, so I couldn't get him back.

I'm fairly happy with the team-should I be?

    thanks

Practically my team but I've done:
Welbeck -> Naismith (form + fixtures)
      Tadic -> Ramsey (form)
Ivan -> Baines (fixtures + on fks + on pens + on corners)

I like the trippier punt, feel moreno will get more points than him though.
You could also straight swap tadic for mirallas and keep welbeck.

    RMT:

    de Gea (Gilks)
    Kelly Debuchy Cahill (Coloccini, Ferdinand)
    Sigurdsson Ramsey Fabregas Sterling (Mutch)
    Bojan Costa Rooney

1FT, 0.3 in the bank. Bojan & Mutch need to go ideally, who first?

Siding with Bojan to Naismith at the minute.

Currently on a WC, thoughts on this lot?

    Krul Elliot
Chester Duff Ivanovic Taylor van Aanholt
    Boyd Sigurdsson Ramsey Fábregas Sterling
    Welbeck Balotelli Diego Costa

I'm planning to replace Ivanovic with Baines when Everton's fixtures get better (GW8) and I will replace Balotelli with Aguero in GW6 (I have 2.1 in the bank)

Ivan to Baines maybe a mistake imho. Chelsea will suddenly start to grind out results because mourinho won't take conceding goals for much longer. So clean sheets will be a plenty. meanwhile the Europa league will start to screw everton and they won't be what they were for the last few seasons.

These prices are starting to annoy me a bit. My previous successes have been based on making a buck first half of the season then buying whoever i wanted to for the second half to ensure I had the form players and take punts on the ones I thought might explode. So far I am a little frustrated with FPL being inconsistent. I don't mind them changing bonus points and tweaking other minor things to enhance the game but the transfer market was one thing that made the game what it is. Come on, sort it out FPL !

Need some help here, current line-up for weekend and on my Wildcard -

    Begovic
    Kaboul - Pieters - Azpil
    Fabregas - ??? - McGeady - Sterling
    Costa - Naismith - Balotelli

Bench - McCarthy, Siggy, N Taylor, PVA

What mid should I bring in for this week? (I'd like the player to have good fixtures coming up too)

He's a natural CB and we are weak in that area - Yoshida frequently struggles with the BPL's physicality. I expect him to slot straight in and replace Yoshida. Clyne has been in great form and he's a natural full back.

Can't shed any light in terms of formation I'm afraid, but slight hunch he will soon revert to his preferred 4-3-3 formation.

Personnel this weekend should be Rafael, Rojo, Evans, Shaw if a back 4 with Blackett in additional if he sticks with a back 5.

Smalling/Jones both likely to be unfit.

Made a lot of assists last season at Real Madrid, over 20 in all competitions I think.

Never been a regular goalscorer though so would be hoping for Falcao/Rooney/RvP to find their finishing boots and score the chances he makes for them.

Think I'll give it a couple more matches to reserve judgement.

Tough. Moreno if pushed but try to accommodate both if you can.

Not on a WC so not taking random hits to accommodate both. This would be Jones replacement.

Moreno, can always downgrade to Clyne. With both team's fixtures I'd want cover from both teams over coming weeks

Yup but not taking needless hits. See the attraction with both, hence the dilemma.

Clyne probably edges it if you can only get 1 long term. I know I said Moreno but that's because I reckon he's got higher upside and you can downgrade to Clyne because of price. However if you won't be wasting transfers for defenders and you need this one to play then Clyne is more assured of his spot. Liverpool have CL and Enrique and Flanagan to possibly come in to rotation

Well I might end up going for the other to accompany the first in the next couple of GWs. Thanks for the thoughts though!

    Start Debuchy or Coloccini?

Arsenal home to City, but never know with the Newcastle defence. And Soton attackers seem to have got over their allergy to scoring goals in the first 2 matches.

Nothing really. If you get Ivan we have the same front 8 plus Ivan. I like the thrill plus I think it could help maintain my good start with some good changes and no hits

0.5 isn't a lot for a player we've actually seen play PL football.

Have a feeling my bench will come into play this week.

What should my bench order be?

Currently Dyer (che), Ferdinand (mun), Chambers (MCI).

    I just did

    Mata> Siggy
    Boja>Welbeck

    for 4 pt hit

    So my team:

Begovic -Cahill, PvA, Caulker - Silva, Ramsey, Sterling, Siggy - Rooney, Costa, Welbeck

    Bench: Gilks, Wisdom, Dummett, Albrighton

    What do you guys think?

My teams needs a minor overhaul, three bench fodders dont start

What's the highest RMT score for next 6 GW's that people can afford? I'm on a WC and trying a lot of combinations, 315 the highest

Scout picks makes me think RMT isn't the best thing to decide your team 😉

Just curious, the 315 is not the one I'm going with, was just tinkering with my budget on short term fixtures

Yeah you can kind of cheat the system with the RMT. It loves certain players who I wouldnt bring nexrt or near my team
