Gameweek 4 continues with one of those classic encounters that, on paper, looks a one-sided affair that will inevitably result in big attacking returns. QPR roll up to Old Trafford to take on a United side buoyed by the arrival of Radamel Falcao – the Columbian hit-man adding to their already bristling arsenal of strikers.

Up until now, however, that talent has mis-fired: Wayne Rooney has just one strike to his name, while Robin van Persie is still waiting to get his season running. It remains to be see if Falcao’s arrival can spark their season and rejuvenate a lacklustre United.

QPR will have other ideas, although time will tell if they have ambitions beyond parking a shiny Shepherd Bush double decker across their penalty area.

Falcao’s impact is on ice: he starts on the United bench, as Rooney and Van Persie take up the striking roles, with Juan Mata presumably deployed behind the front pairing. Lous van Gaal does give a debut to Marcos Rojo, however – he comes in for the injured Phil Jones. Daley Blind also makes his bow, presumably on the left in place of Ashley Young. Ander Herrera returns to the engine room alongside Angel Di Maria having missed the Burnley stalemate. Elsewhere, Rafael also starts a first league outing, taking the place of Antonio Valencia at right-back.

As for Rangers, Harry Redknapp gives a debut to Sandro in midfield and also turns to the Brazilian’s fellow deadline day signing, Niko Kranjcar. Joey Barton and Jordan Mutch are both absent from the matchday squad through injury.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

A month ago, many of us saw their first six fixtures and salivated about the prospects for United's attack. I know I'm far too optimistic for some on here, but considering how many of us got burned in the first three weeks, surely it is a good thing that a team we rated to do well in an easy fixture is actually doing well? Isn't that good for FPL?

yeah..i actually get in di maria this week tgt with rooney and it works well so far.

its good for FPL as it gives you more options(headache)..especially utd has no UCL fixtures..strong alternative to sturridge/aguero/costa..also makes us ponder whether to have 3 big strikers upfront or stick w 2+welbeck/ade/pelle

tgt with herrera di maria as an option to the already flooding midfield..its more interesting than the template sig fab sterling rams

Lets say his points total ends at 12, hypothetically.

      40% of 12 is 4.8

      12 x is 24

      12% of 24 is 2.88

      4.8 add 2.88 is 7.68

Rooney scoring will benefit you, and if he gets say 12, that means it's worth 4.32 to you, meaning a rise.

36% of his points are worth it for you, if you follow me.
