I'm not sure where to go next. Once we get past the European matches, I think it's perfectly acceptable to save a transfer seeing as Falcao may still not start next week (looked a bit stiff still when warming up)..but I am very tempted by Ramsey > Di Maria even if his FPL contribution was a bit flukey. He's the real deal.

    ...................Begovic
    .........Ivan - Clyne - Moreno
    Cesc - Sterling - Ramsey - Siggy
    ....Naismith - Rooney - Costa

With Debuchy injured and Chester out of favour, shall I sell Debuchy for a hit?

It seems everyone are completely sure that selling Chester is something to do immediately, but why?

Of course if Steve Bruce will stick with 4 at the back (something he has only done for one match so far), Chester is at rotation risk. But i guess 2-2 at home versus West Ham wasn't a desireable result. Especially not defensively. It's very likely that he will switch back to a 3 at the back system, and the chester will be a main starter again. Chester problem solved

Cheers, doing the same. Allthough it's not exactly a theory. It just seems strange everyone is so sure about that he has been dropped for good.

        1. KingsKnee
          • 11 Years
          11 years, 7 months ago

Mainly because of the new signings he has hit yo fit most in meaning more midfielders and strikers so likely to go 4 at back rather than 5

Activated my WildCard for this, please let me know what you think, still needs tinkering?:

    Begovic, Gilks
    Clyne, Taylor, Duff, Wilson, Moore
Boyd, Di Maria, Sterling, Ramsey, Siggy
    Pelle, Aguero, Costa

    £0.5m in the bank

Or would you rather have Chadli + Naismith (plus 0.8 to upgrade defence) over Boyd + Pelle?

    1. TD Champ
      • 12 Years
      11 years, 7 months ago

I think Chadli + Naismith will outscore Boyd + Pelle, at least short term

    2. KingsKnee
      • 11 Years
      11 years, 7 months ago

No is very good pelle will highly out score Naismith in long run

      1. Judas
        • 13 Years
        11 years, 7 months ago

Reason I have Pelle is because he has very very good fixtures in the next 10 games. Plus Naismith may be rotated with Eto'o

      2. TD Champ
        • 12 Years
        11 years, 7 months ago

But having Naismith + Chadli will give you the flexibility to switch between 343 and 352

        1. Judas
          • 13 Years

True but also gives more headaches and leaves more room for error and points on the bench

Davis, Dummett are problematic. However you can fix one of them quite easily with your FT so I'd consider selling Dummett for a new budget option. Probably Duff or Moore.

so I now only have two playing defenders 😕 Chester, Dummett and Kelly have caused me grave concerns. With a heavy heart, it appears I will have to WC this lot. No use spending the next month fixing my defence.

    DDG, Gilks
    Ivan, PVA, Chester, Dummett, Kelly
    Ramsey, Sterling, Lamela, Siggy, Zaha
    Aguero, Costa, Naismith

Yep, its such a hassle to have to spend 3FT's over the next 3 weeks selling pointless cheap defenders. It would come at a huge cost with the neglect of the rest of my team.

Thing is Lamela and Naismith are decent this week but don't look so appealing after that. Maybe use a FT this week for a defender and then WC next week?

Yeah it could be worth riding it out for another week and delaying the inevitable. It doesn't help that I don't have a good captaincy option this week though with Costa and Aguero playing each other.

Aguero, Sterling Costa, Ramsey all decent enough options imo. Nobody stands out from other teams anyway, maybe Rooney just about but Leicester significantly better to QPR and away from home.

I'd happily captain Rooney. None of the other options are particularly appealing although a crazy differential captaincy on Lamela could be interesting.

      Would bench Zaha

And keep Chester if you have him for 4.5 as you can ride a price drop

Then it is Kelly or Dummet out

3 of my defenders have been dropped. They all need to go at some point. Is it worth investing all that time and effort using 3FT's over 3 weeks to fix it?

Could do two this week as I think you can cope without a 5th defender for a while

      Chester to Clyne,
Lamela to Chadli/Mirallas should be enough.

    Where to go from here:

    Bego/Krul

    Terry/Clyne/Caulker/Wisdom/PvA

    Hazard/Sterling/Siggy/Ramsey/Zaha

    Rooney/Costa/Naismith

    1FT and 0.0 ITB.

Transferring Mata and Dzeko out, but who should I bring in?

    A: Di Maria or Fabregas
    B: Welbeck or Pelle

    OR

C: Go Dzeko -> Welbeck and Ramsey -> Di Maria/Fabregas and then upgrade Mata to Di Maria/Fabregas the week after.

Which option is the best do you guys think?

Not getting the Baines love myself, Everton struggling defensively. I'd consider someone like Evans/Rafael maybe although United aren't great either.

One has 4.5 for a defender 3 - 5 - 2 formation and keeps ramsey but drops welbeck for zamora
