Arsenal and Tottenham were both rebuffed in their attempts to sign Southampton’s World Cup star Morgan Schneiderlin this summer and hanging on to the French midfielder has proven crucial to the Saints’ ascent under new boss Ronald Koeman.

The 10.7% of Fantasy Premier League managers who have backed Schneiderlin have seen a phenomenal return from the central midfielder, who has chalked up 29 points in his last three appearances, courtesy of a trio of goals and four bonus points.

In our next members’ article of the week, we turn to the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) tables in order to assess Schneiderlin’s progress from the previous campaign under Mauricio Pochettino.

For the unfamiliar, these KPI tables are designed to use a series of key stats to allow our members to track form or changes in player performance. By tracking the frequency of certain key statistics and comparing them over two separate periods of time, we can ascertain whether a player’s form has improved or declined. As mentioned in last summer’s introductory article, we’ve rolled out a preview movie which shows just how to get the best out of the KPI tables.

By comparing this season to last, we should be able to get an indication as to how he will be utilised in Koeman’s new-look side and determine whether his high points return so far could be sustainable. By also referencing the Comparison Tool and season totals, we get a better indication as to how he fared:

      Terry out for Moreno

If you're brave you can take a hit and do Krul>4.0 and Terry>Baines this week.

Those would be two great options. I would hold off on Caulker>Bertrand for one more GW though. Terry>Moreno looks good now however.

Morning gents. Whats the low down on Champions league action from last night. Which one of my players is injured? I see from the scout tweets that Costa is still an injury concern. Good. Another hat trick imminent. đź€

Costa was rested but played a cameo to prove his fitness. Not a worry, so no goals incoming unfortunately đź‰

Wilshere injured. Everyone else fine as far as i can tell.

Filipe Luis got his debut btw, azpil rested

Mourinho says 11 Azpis will win him the Champions League so he rests the only one he has 🆠I figured Luis would play the Champions league games seeing as he's not getting Prem time. That might change though if Chelsea keep conceding.

I had a think about that during the Chelsea game actually. I think it'll be roughly like this until Christmas:

Azpi - rested in CL games
Ivan - rested in League cup
          Luis - rested in league

Indeed. Abit like Clichy 5.6 or Kolarov 6.0 in City's defense. If one of them goes down injured it could be the jackpot.

Hi fellas, a bit of help? One FT to play with this week. 0.7m in the kitty.

    A. Sort out the defense - Terry, Chester, Caulker all probably need to go. Options are Man United, Southampton or Liverpool defenders

    B. Ramsey > Di Maria as a luxury move and a bit of a gamble to stay ahead of the herd. Next two (lei, WHU) should be good platform for di Maria whereas Aaron is up against a sturdy Villa and then Pochetino's Spurs

Just Terry to Rafael then I reckon mate, leaves you with a good backline and a bit of cash to handle the Di María price rises.

Ive been thinking about dropping Ramsey aswell, but not pulled the trigger yet.
But Di Maria would be a good change at least for a few weeks, and probs the whole season depending on the rest of your midfield.
Ive been contemplating Rafa for united as 5.3 if he repeats his form of 2 years ago is cheap, but with clyne .1 cheaper and a guaranteed starter id go there first with a transfer of caulker to clyne.

Di Maria is a very good option no doubt but is if worth getting rid of Hazard for him?

Something im really struggling to understand at the moment is the ratings system!

Mata & Ramsey both started at 9.0m Ramsey currently has just 3 points more than Mata from 4 games. Now, how can Ramsey have gone up 0.1 but yet Mata has somehow gone down 0.2!?! Tbh I havent looked into it, but im guessing other than just form, it might have something to do with ownership percentage?

    1. rickardinho
      • 11 Years
      11 years, 10 months ago

Maybe it has to do with the fact that apart from his two goals Mata has done absolutely nothing to influence his games, whereas Ramsey has been an ever-present threat - and has also played much stronger opposition.

    2. Grumpy Camel
      • 14 Years

It's not a rating. It's to do with changes in ownership.

FYI: Mertesacker, Moreno, Shawcross, and Fonte aren't ideal as I have Chambers, Lovren, Clyne, and Begovic. Also, to get a 6.0 instead of a 5.9 I would also need to do Clyne>Bertrand to have 1.1 available instead of 1.0.

That time in the 2nd half where he literally took 30 seconds to get his fat arse off the floor only for Bayern to carve them up was telling. He's so poor defensively when he's not winning by 5 goals

He was so lazy today, I don't know why either, he's had a whole week to prepare for it after missing the Arsenal game. If Fernando wasn't injured I'm sure Pellegrini would be considering benching him on Sunday.

In a fit of rage i took an 8 point hit this week. Should i WC from?

    Krul Elliot
    Pieters Moreno PvA Moore Hutton
    Hazard Sterling Siggy Ramsey Marney
    Costa Aguero Pelle

(get 8 points back and make following changes)

GK - Krul Elliot -> Bego Green
    DEF - Pieters -> Bertrand
MID - Hazard Marney -> Fab Boyd
    FWD - No change

    Or just stick?

Exact same manager name so deleting one may knock the other out. Chances of them winning are very slim and I know the safety scores for each GW so will not slip through the cracks. I didn't say no multiples from memory so it may be unfair. Plenty have 2nd teams in there just with a different name.

                I see.

When two managers have identical names, there ought perhaps to be a method of suspending just one of them from the league, say by specifying their ID as well as the manager's name.

Suspending IDs would work better but mistakes are bound to happen. There might be 10 max with exact names but I don't expect any of those to win. Will sort itself out soon enough. Already lost 360+ in 4 week. 1324 left. May open up to late entries in the next international break.

I presume that any late entries you allow in would have to have achieved the safe score or better in each game-week so far.

Is the number of teams in Last Man Standing lower than in previous seasons?

I hope you will be running the January Wildcard League again. That's always an interesting one.

New teams would need to pass all GWs which shouldn't be too hard. Only ran it last season but there are 550+ more already this season. The Xmas or Jan WC can be run by anyone on here as it just involves starting a league in a certain GW. I'll probably left someone else do it with their own community article if they like.

So Chelsea vs City, well basically, Costa vs Aguero is bugging me this week, as I have both!

    Bego - (krul)
    Baines(c) - Moreno - Clyne - (Taylor - Duff)
    Mirallas - ADM - Sterling - Sig - (king)
    Costa - Aguero - Naismith

    0.1 ITB

I'm thinking mirallas -> tadic for the next 2 weeks (everton have liv and utd). Or should I do Naismith -> Ulloa. Don't want triple everton for those fixtures. Also I'm tempted to us a FT to swap out Ageuro just for this game week, to rooney maybe. Thoughts?

Will do mirallas to tadic next week. Probs swap baines for ivan for 2 weeks. I see southampton vs swansea this week being a 0-0 or 1-0, don't feel tadic will give good returns this week.
