With the exception of a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Liverpool, Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs have enjoyed an encouraging opening to their campaign. Seven goals in four matches makes their attacking options worthy of consideration, with the midfield trio of Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela and Nacer Chadli hovering on our radars as potential acquisitions.

The 4-0 thrashing of QPR certainly brought Nacer Chadli firmly into the Fantasy frame as he bagged a brace and claimed 15 points. With Mauricio Pochettino seemingly promoting the Belgian international to the status of certain starter and with a Fantasy Premier League (FPL) price tag of just 6.1, the debate over Tottenham’s attacking trio seems cut and dry.

However, Christian Eriksen’s shift to a central role in the win over Sunderland and his bundled goal in the 2-2 draw reminded us that he’s a known quantity and a proven producer after a solid 132-point campaign last year. In addition, after a season on the sidelines, largely due to injury, Argentine starlet Lamela has shown flashes of the brilliance which have gone some way to explain why Spurs shelled out £30 million for his services last summer.

In this latest article for members, we analyse this trio of targets, sifting the data available to analyse their early-season form and assess whether Chadli’s emergence has put both Eriksen and the resurgent Lamela in the shade.

I have no money left so getting Ullola and Hutton would require me finding 0.3m somewhere.

    For the first week...ever....resisting the urge to tinker and staying away from the transfer page. Going to battle with this;

    Krul (Foster)
    Ivan, Clyne, PVA (Chester, Hutton)
    Fab, Sterling, Ramsey, Siggy (JWP)
    Costa, Aguero, Naismith

Should be ok....hoping to not have to use the 2FT next week either.

      3 - 1 to United. I would say 3 - 2 if Blind wasn't playing.

I don't think RVP will start or be involved in any of the goals.

I think Rooney will deliver at least a goal or assist.

I think Mata will start but be hauled off mid way through second half (not due to performance though).

I think it will hurt not having Di Maria.

      I think Falcao will score.

Dunno who's optimal, but Hamer is a decent shout

    2. Brutus619
      12 years, 1 month ago

Hard one. McCarthy may possibly break into first team but it's not that likely. Foster is injured but playing, but Myhill still may have a chance to play some time soon.

      1. Think Tank
        12 years, 1 month ago

McCarthy is the only one who might end up a regular starter.

  9. Brutus619
    12 years, 1 month ago

Did a little tinkering with the WC, how does this look?

    Forster, McCarthy

    Chambers, PVA, Duff (Ivan, Moore)

    Mata, Sterling, Tadic, Siggy (Boyd)

    Pelle (C), Aguero (VC), Costa

£0.2 m in the bank. If Mata is benched in any games, Boyd has nice fixtures to cover for next 4 weeks. Will look to switch Mata to Walcott once he's fit and firing.

Tadic and Pelle is a tad overkill imo, not tempted by Mirallas instead?

      1. Brutus619
        12 years, 1 month ago

Not at all mate. 1 good week and then 2 horrendous fixtures. I think players should be judged on individual merits and both Tadic and Pelle are good picks in their own rights. They also have marvelous fixtures.

(I don't buy into the coverage theory much).

        1. d1sable

Well i just think his form his great and the derby is nearly always a goal fest + Liverpool can't defend. United will concede too.... Hes far more likely to score than Tadic imo.

          1. Brutus619
            12 years, 1 month ago

Fair enough mate. I had triple Chelsea & United attack already this season (great and bad choices respectively), so I'm thoroughly comfortable backing a team's main assets when they have the fixtures to shine. I think everything at Southampton will go through Tadic and Pelle, so I should be getting points for most the goals that team score over the next 8 weeks.

On an individual level, Tadic has had pretty impressive stats and I think Sadio Mane will directly increase his assist potential. Sure, he hasn't looked that much of a goal threat but even Mirallas took time to get going in his first season from what I remember 😉

    @Madridista?

I am sorry, you are quite right. Look, this is a good week to move Terry - may I suggest Shawcross or Wilson?
