You don't want Eriksen. Matter of time until he's dropped.

Not Eriksen. I think he'll come good at some point this season but he doesn't look like doing it right now.

    I gotta keep Balotelli, right?

I feel like he's picked up 2 jammy assists and been close to zero threat in the last couple of games. But those fixtures!?!

Yeah, will be easy to sell if he keeps flopping.

I dunno, mate. I'd be trying to offload him I think even though as you mention their fixtures are brightening. He simply hasn't returning points worth his price.

Don't get rid. He's getting better and Sturridges return should give him more space

    1. @BigChrisso

Downing has been playing very very well. Puncheon and Tadic could also be consider

      1. rickardinho
        12 years, 28 days ago

Cheers will have a look at puncheon. Already have Tadic since gw3

      2. Walsh
        12 years, 28 days ago

Really not backing Punch as a fantasy prospect in any capacity. As long as Jedi McArthur and Ledley are starting for us in midfield we don't have enough creativity to be free-flowing enough in the opponent's half to bring Punch back on the radar. He has looked pretty good on the ball and when we have been building up from the right but he hasn't been getting too many great goal scoring chances and neither have Palace been doing so from open play in general.

        1. @BigChrisso
          12 years, 28 days ago

Since Puncheon returned in GW 3 Palace have scored 8 goals in 4 games and Puncheon has scored 22 FPL points (or 5.5 ppg).

He's on a lot of set pieces and the fixtures are terrible. Palace been playing well form were I sit.

          1. Walsh
            12 years, 28 days ago

All fair facts, but I don't think he is a good FPL option! More of a 5th mid at the moment than a 4th for me, as much as I love him.

        2. rickardinho
          12 years, 28 days ago

I've come to the conclusion that I won't be investing in him. He's more expensive than downing but has worse stats, as well as immediate fixtures. His only really good fixture is Sunderland at home which is weeks away.

    2. Aaron Ramessi - Straya
      12 years, 28 days ago

      just throwing options out there:

      Gerrard, Silva, Ozil

      1. Mile Plankton - Myth and Ch…
        12 years, 28 days ago

Surely not Ozil. If you're gonna offer Arsenal mid it's Cazorla.

        1. chrisjdgrady
          12 years, 28 days ago

Ozil is nailed even with Ramsey/Jack/Arteta/Walcott/Sanchez in, Cazorla is not. Caz could be a good short term punt though.

        2. Aaron Ramessi - Straya
          12 years, 28 days ago

with ramsey and wilshere out he will have more room to control the midfield...last two games have shown an upturn in form...also ozil is nailed, santi isn't 🙂

      2. rickardinho
        12 years, 28 days ago

Cheers. I've considered Gerrard, solid pick but I think Downings price just takes it for me. Two great fixtures coming up after which he can sit on my bench.

I'm not connived Silva has enough FPL end product, and Ozil is so unpredictably bad at times. From a 9.0 I don't want potential points, I want clockwork, like Fabregas or Sterling

On wildcard. Really want my Costa, Sturridge, Aguero frontline! Can do it and still have a decent side! The extra cash from choosing Dzeko over Aguero though could be a nice security blanket for getting in Walcott or whoever or if someone gets injured I don't know what to do.....

    1. @BigChrisso
      12 years, 28 days ago

      You dont need all 3.

Pick 2 of them, get Pelle, Welbeck, Jelavic, Ulloa or alike in the 3rd spot and bloster than mid

        Aguero, Costa, Sturridge .3itb

Yeah your team looked alright. Nothing a hit wouldnt fix up anyways, but then again. You got a few injuries and if you were planning to WC soon, why not sure it when your big guns have gone down.

        2. @BigChrisso
          12 years, 28 days ago

It looks good but I would favour only 2 big ticket items up top. Just my opinion. Whatever you do make up your own mind. You gotta like your own team i reckon

Ya thanks for the input. I can go Aguero Costa Pelle which is what I currently have until I hear more on Sturridge anyway. My leagues with my mates is kinda ending up with us all having similar players especially forwards.

      2. syke63
        12 years, 28 days ago

Just make sure one of them is Costa. Great value out there plus form and fixtures.

    2. chrisjdgrady
      12 years, 28 days ago

It's too much. I prefer Sterling in my team over Sturridge and it saves you money. I know the "coverage" idea isn't great but Sterling has been super involved and I think he's the one to have.

I have sterling also but would swap for Walcott when/if he hits form when he returns for arsenal coverage then?

        1. chrisjdgrady
          12 years, 28 days ago

I will definitely have Walcott but I'll keep Sterling unless he turns to shit

    3. Mile Plankton - Myth and Ch…
      12 years, 28 days ago

You could go for it. There are quite decent mid price midfielders, and the expensive ones are not that good like last season (i.e. Yaya, Haz).

  7. Diva
    12 years, 28 days ago

Asked earlier, but pages go by so quick post-game that very few people see:

    Which do you prefer?

1: Aguero with a defence of Clyne, Naylor and Bertrand (or another less than 5.3m defender) (means activating wildcard)

    or

2: Ulloa with a defence of Ivanovic, Baines and Clyne
    (for -4)

In both cases the other strikers would be Costa and Pelle.

    1. @BigChrisso
      12 years, 28 days ago

Save the WC for when you need it

      option 2 for mine

    2. Aaron Ramessi - Straya
      12 years, 28 days ago

in 2 what transfers would you be doing? and how much would you have in the bank after doing said transfers? 🙂

      1. Diva
        12 years, 28 days ago

        +1.0m ITB at the minute.

I'd be bringing Pelle in for Rooney and shipping Chester. Who I ship Chester to depends on where I go long term.

If I ship him to Moore, rather than Baines, then the following week I could ship Ivan to Bertrand and switch Ulloa to Aguero. I also need to switch JWP to Boyd either this week or next.

Or if I give up on the idea of bringing in Aguero I would switch Chester to Baines.

Basically, if I'm prepared to take a -8 the following week (or -8 this week and -4 next week) I could get to Aguero and Pelle, with the Bertrand replacing Ivan, but keeping the wildcard intact.

Thanks for the replies guys. It's interesting, when I asked earlier I didn't put the points/wildcard implications in, and most people went 1 then. Now I include the fact it will mean burning the wildcard most people like 2.

Nice. If you had Elliott instead of Gilks you should be assured of a starting keeper every week - albeit a Newcastle one 🙂

  9. SuperDunny - Used to be goo…
    12 years, 28 days ago

Team at the moment for GW7 (2 FTs, £1.0m ITB):

    Begovic(sun)
    N.Taylor(NEW) Moore(BUR) Moreno(WBA)
    Fabregas(ARS) DI Maria (EVE) Sterling(WBA) Sigurdsson(NEW)
    Pelle(tot) Balotelli(WBA) Costa(ARS)

subs - McCarthy, Clyne, C.Dawson, Zaha

What to do this week? Need to use at least 1 transfer so Zaha is the obvious candidate for the chop, probably to someone like Boyd to bank some cash. Or go balls out and get Aguero or summat?

    HELP!?

    1. @BigChrisso

        No i can't 🙁

He should just have his clean sheet points adjusted for 3 instead of 4 for every start. So incapable of going 90 without seeing yellow!

I have 2 free transfers for this week, safe to do Rooney > Aguero NOW and if he gets injured in midweek then transfer him out? Just want to avoid Rooney's price drop.

    1. Walsh
      12 years, 28 days ago

If you can afford the drop it's worth the wait I think.

thinking i can upgrade pieters to baines and play both baines and ivan for a while instead of straight ivan > baines swap.

    Lloris

    Best midfielder+striker combo for 18.6?
Currently on Aguero+Chadli, but not totally convinced by Chadli

      Costa + Tadic 😉

      maybe Downing?

Yeah I should probably have mentioned my current players in those positions:p

        Hazard Ramsey Sterling Siggy (Marney)
        Rooney Costa Pelle

Downing might be a decent pick I suppose. Also considering Silva+Welbeck/Dzeko

You have the code to the price changes and you have been withholding it from all of us for the past month?! How dare you. At least throw an "I don't think" or an "IMO" in that statement instead of presenting it as fact as though you have a clue and it's anything more than your educated guess.

Are we off Burnley "D"efense now? With a visit to Leicester on the horizon, surely Ulloa will have a field day? Also they will face West Ham, Everton and then Arsenal. Is it safe to stop recommending Duff as an option finally?

    1. Walsh
      12 years, 28 days ago

I don't think so. Their defense was troubled because their midfield was incapable of stringing three passes together and ravaged by injury. The root of their problem today was their lack of quality at midfield. I wouldn't bring in at the moment if I didn't own, but I wouldn't be looking to sell if I owned either.

I don't see their midfield getting much better anytime soon. They lack quality all over the field. I wouldn't be bringing them in either, let alone playing them anytime in the foreseeable future....pretty much a roster spot free loader IMO.
