Easy to say after the fact, and i don`t want to put myself above anyone so don`t misunderstand this, but that`s something i wouldn`t do. Chelsea at home in big matches, are you kidding me? Mourinho loves these games and he wins them so often simply cus his teams are so insanely organized, combined with a little bit of individual superskill, just like today. And if you won`t play Downers against QPR at home, then why even bother having him in the first place :p
Chelsea only had 2 clean sheets before todays game. Arsenal coming from a good win in the CL and with confidence and Welbeck with a hat trick. Imagine how stupid it would sound if I benched him after that and he did something vs. Chelsea. It's easy to say now that it was the wrong decision to play him over Downing though. No doubt. Downing is my 5th mid. He is very cheap and I can afford to have him on the bench to step in if someone is injured.

Cesc was my choice before yesterday too. Playing too deep. But when he does get forward hes magic. Sterlong most likely now but he has good fixtures and as you said with sturridge coming back it might be like they were at the start of the season. Hes fairly consistent as it is now too amd the replacemnts - tadic Mane and co, dont seem up to it at the minute.
with utd and pool away in next 4 has to be based on the chances of him playing deeper in those games (as he did v city and the gooners today) so he's my choice at present but as you say the make weight to bring in baines isnt immediately apparent is he plus palace away and qpr at home as well its a gamble anyway isnt it.....tuff one mate

Long term, I'd like to bring in Walcott and one of Sturridge/Aguero.
For Sturridge/Aguero - I have to upgrade Ulloa. I'm personally thinking of slowly downgrading my defense (Ivan, Shawcross, Moreno are all replaceable I feel). Looking at Chambers and Oviedo as interesting picks right now.
For Walcott, who do I go for? If I could've found a way to fit him in over Siggy, I'd have done that in a heartbeat. But that seems difficult right now.. Thoughts?Walcott will take time to return to his best. Wait for someone to lose form. Yes I like your ideas in defence. Consider Robertson and McNair too.

He played really well today. I haven't got him and am starting to feel the pangs of regret, before this point I was holding onto the idea that he had just gotten very lucky to have scored two.
Still planning to hold off, for me it's more important for me to get Baines in than ADM this week. This is largely based on comparative fixtures.

Frustrating game, eriksen (played tadic instead) and Chester (1 pt from my chosen back 3) on the bench and minus 4 hit took to bring sakho in for Naismith. When will I learn patience in this game, still think sakho will be a good differential this season

How much clearer does he need it to be that Ozil is crap on the wing and that Jack can't be both a half assed DM and CM at the same time? Ox has been great, so he benches him? Ughhh
Chelsea are incredible though, credit to em. Costa is a beast.This all comes back to a lack of proper DM. I'd go 4-3-3 with Sanchez Welbeck Ox up top, Ozil in the whole with Wilshere and Chambers trailing. But short at RB. This is why you don't loan out Jenkinson!
