After scaling the heights of fifth place in their first season under Roberto Martinez, Everton have so far failed to find their form. The Toffees sit in seventeenth spot – just two points off the basement – but are poised for an excellent upcoming schedule which many expect will enable them to quickly climb back up the table.

Understandably, Fantasy managers are eyeing up Leighton Baines ahead of a run which pits the Merseysiders against just three of last season’s top eight in the forthcoming 13 Gameweeks. Given that the Toffees have managed just a single clean sheet so far, though, defensive returns may be hard to come by unless they can tighten up considerably.

With team-mate Seamus Coleman looking poised for an imminent return to action, we analyse the pair’s displays so far and compare them to the performances which harvested 169 and 180 points respectively in the 2013/14 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Transfer is Colo to Baines. (Had 2.6 in the bank.) I don't have Aguero. Costa Pelle Welbeck are my forwards.

Evening. Seeing as it's quiet any help would be appreciated as I have to use a FT.

    Heaton Gilks
    Baines Clyne Wisdom Moore Chambers
    ADM Sterling Tadic Siggy Boyd
    Aguero Costa Welbeck

    2 FTs, 0.4m itb

I want Theo, Coleman, or maybe a Tadic or Welbeck replacement in the next few weeks but have no idea what to do now. Maybe Chambers to another cheap def?

Pretty sideways but I'd consider Tadic > Mane, I think he's going to explode over the next few weeks. Another possible move is Heaton > Guzan (would be better next week though) or another keeper...you have a solid team so there aren't many changes needed.

Need some help chaps. Still undecided about letting Ramsey go in my draft league. I have Walcott and need a decent 3rd striker which is currently Austin. My other two are RvP and Adebayor. My options are to try and trade from either Dat Guy, Dzeko or Lukaku. Would you stick or twist

Wenger's diminishing list of options might Walcott gametime probable more than possible.

Considering Ulloa and Fabregas 9 + 19m) out for Benteke and Walcott, just the right money.

Cesc is doing well but can't see him getting anything close to Walcott's goals and consequently a fair bit less points. Argentine beast out for Belgian beast 😉

I have Forster so might go Azpi. It's funny the last time I asked about this move here I was given the opposite advice in terms of going Mangala over Azpi.

Azpilicueta should always be a better option than Mangala. Although the Chelsea defence started poorly they're now more CS friendly. City will continue to concede, maybe a CS every 4 or 5 games.

Craig Dawson near a rise? Have 0.6 itb (exact money) for Bruce->Dawson but will have to wait until saturday.

It's not unlikely, nil nil away to Sunderland last away match. I'd be more worries about Stoke conceding, they always manage to ship 1

About 2:1 odds, so middle of the road for a CS.

Agree with ADM but not Mannone. Guzan/Foster have perfect home/away rotation and Mannone has awful fixtures coming up
