Our Watchlist rankings, which offer player recommendations over the next four to six Gameweeks, have been updated over the last 24 hours.

Between the sticks, West Ham’s Adrian is on the up after collecting his first clean sheet of the season in Gameweek 7. The Hammers face a trip to Burnley this weekend, and with their opponents having only scored in one of their last six, the 5.0-priced Spaniard could be set for further returns come Saturday afternoon. Arsenal number one Wojciech Szczesny also climbs the rankings due to Calum Chambers’ one-match suspension and the injury doubts hanging over Laurent Koscielny in the Gunners’ defence.

With excellent fixtures ahead for Arsene Wenger’s side (HUL, sun, BUR, swa), their backline looks set to prosper in spite of current form (it’s only one shut-out so far this season for a defence that accumulated 17 clean sheets last term), and Per Mertesacker – as their most nailed-on rearguard option right now – comes into our defensive standings as a result.

Joining team-mate Adrian in rising up our rankings is Hammers centre back James Tomkins, whose attacking threat has already earned his owners two assists up to this point. Across the way at Tottenham, meanwhile, Younes Kaboul climbs to just below Tomkins thanks to his kind fixtures from Gameweek 9 onwards (NEW, avl, STK, hul).

Jeffrey Schlupp is a new entry at the back thanks to his out-of-position prospects – the Leicester man is available for just 4.5 and was utilised on the left wing in the Foxes’ last league fixture, bagging his first goal of the season in the process. Another defender prospering due to their out-of-position status is Hull’s Andrew Robertson. Like Schlupp, he is on offer for just 4.5 ,and though his next three fixtures are rather tough (ars, liv, SOU), his strong form and position on the left of midfield in the Tigers’ 3-5-2 formation brings him into contention.

There is little movement in midfield, where Raheem Sterling holds on to the top spot, with Fantasy Premier League midfield frontrunners Gylfi Sigurdsson (sto, LEI, eve, ARS, mci) and Angel Di Maria (wba, CHE, mci, CRY, ars) only failing to climb due to their tricky schedules. The likes of Jordan Henderson (6.0), Saido Mane (6.9) and James Milner (5.3) continue to bubble under as mid-price differentials and cheaper alternatives to their team-mates further up the rankings – all three have strong fixtures to boost their points potential.

Daniel Sturridge is the big addition to our rankings up front. The Liverpool striker is likely to be eased back into action after recovering from a thigh injury, but as he proved against Southampton in Gameweek 1, needs little time to introduce himself. The 11.3-priced England man has enticing fixtures against QPR, Hull and Newcastle to find his feet and could prove an outstanding differential in the coming weeks.

Danny Welbeck is the main mover in our forward standings and now sits just below the template trio of Diego Costa, Graziano Pelle and Sergio Aguero. Though he has picked up returns in one of his four appearances in an Arsenal shirt, the lack of clear options in the Gunners’ midfield right now ensures that Welbeck, at a mere 7.3, is their main attacking asset for the moment – reports indicate he’s set to return to training after shrugging off the knock picked up on England duty. Should Alexis Sanchez begin to justify his 10.3 price tag and Theo Walcott quickly readjust to life in the Premier League upon his return from injury next week, both are likely to be elevated in next week’s refresh.

25th highest scoring mid 2nd on the watchlist 😯 yes Tadic I'm looking at you. Bit of bias involved in that rating?

Also no Cissa, yet Adebayor still features 😕

Doesn't even do that anymore. Should not be on the watchlist and Tadic certainly shouldn't be second (ahead of ADM & Siggy and many others)

That's because they only really mention players that have gone up or down. Tadic, for whatever reasons, has been there for weeks.

    Lets talk captains please.

As I see it, we have many options this week, which are best classified by teams:

1 the reasonable boring option - costa and his 6 points
2 the arsenal differential - welbeck or even Sanchez if you have him - medium risk high reward
3 the soto special - pelle or even tadic if you are in a make it or break it mood - high risk high reward.
4 the Everton high potential - Baines if you like breaking rules, lukaku if you like disappointments
5 kun. Because he can score a hat trick at will.
6 ADM because chasing last weeks points feels comforting

    What's your choice?

Costa, if you have a decent ranking (500k) and want to maintain pace with the leaders.

Any others if you want to take a gamble to break into the top 100k.

If RvP wasn't priced as he was, would any of you folks be tempted? Trying to assess how good a draft pick he is and how far he seems to have fallen from grace. Something not quite right about him these days, hence the grey hairs.

      now a proper question

lambert looks like he'd go the distance ,born in the meanstreets and looks like he can handle himself-will have been training up with father christmas next to him
maureen would run away or kick you in the shins-looked a bit worried when the professor invaded his personal space, professor notoriously fit...
big sam would worry me but would soon tire...
      pardew looks a lightweight
bruce looks handy and has the nose for it,but he always seems over the top in the makeup/pantodame department

I want to make the following three transfers:

    Balotelli to Aguero
    PVA to Baines
    Fabregas to Chadli

Question is - do I do Baines this week, Chadli next and then Aguero? Or Aguero first? Or take a hit?

Wait a week on Chadli - Tottanham play Man City this week. I'd do the other two before and after that (maybe Baines, Chadli then Aguero)

Interesting, and opinions divided, thanks for all the feedback. I think Kun will comfortably out score Costa in the upcoming game weeks. It's whether Ivan will out score Azpi by more. Probably not much in it at the end if the day.

Kun may probably outscore Costa when Man C exits the Champs League but by then, his value would be unreachable sigh

I was going to sell Balo for Kun but the value of Balo went down today! arghh

That's unfortunate. I am not convinced the CL will have much influence. Kun seems fit now, he'll score as many as Costa but will also get assists and bonus. So long as he stays fit, I think the points difference will be quite significant.

What would you do with this lot?
    I have 2.3 and 1.3 in bank.

    Begovic -- Krul
    PVA -- Cahill -- lovren -- clyne -- wisdom
    Di Maria -- Fabregas -- Sterling -- Tadic--Marney
    Costa -- Naismith -- Welbeck

I am thinking of bringing Baines and hutton in but long term, I would like a bigger striker upfront which would mean either sterling or fabregas getting the chop.

    Thoughts please would-be appreciated

Yep agree id want a upgrade on Naismith.

        So fabregas to downgrade then.

Probably is the way to go considering I have costa.
If I went pelle I would also probably change tadic. But for this week, I think I will do Baines in first then look to fab and Naismith out.

I have lost faith in pools defence and then with your attacking team, you'd probably have to make way a mid or forward if you want Baines Ivan. I like to see Baines as an extra mid that gets clean sheet bonus

      downgrade Falcao

plenty of cheap(er) strikers and you have ADM, the conduit for most ManU goals

      upgrade Moreno to Baines

Depends if you are chasing or leading your league I reckon,

If chasing a nice potential diff could be:

Cesc > Oscar to maintain Chelsea cover
Moreno > Beans for your ghost mid def

Otherwise Cesc > Eriksen or Chadli (doubt) and then you'll have funds to upgrade falcao to Sturridge for further diff if you wanted and adm as utd cover. Then could do Sterling to Ramsey for arsenal cover in a few weeks all within budget.
Moreno > Ivan to maintain Chelsea cover

Best Krul replacement if he is out for more than a week?

    A) Foster

    B) Mannone

    C) Schmeichel

What you conveniently forget, is that I was against the SINGLE goalkeeper option, and was taking account of fixtures too.

                i don't forget... i just "left out"

would not have gotten Foster's clean sheets to-date without single GK strategy... he's gotten cleanies playing away against tougher opposition

Hey Sunny.. A) from those options. Schmeichel under threat from Hamer of late.. not been at his best and Hamer's been impressing Pearson or so the rumors say

Hi Valar.. I'm thinking Foster too. Thanks 🙂

I've got Hamer as my 2nd keeper so hoping those rumors are true. Any chance Hamer starts this weekend so I could delay my keeper move?

why is fabregas still above hazard in the watchlist ranking? hazard has made 21 pts in the last 3 gameweeks against only 10 pts from fabregas...

    1. Heels_Over_Head

watchlist is about who the tabulations think *will* score more points in the coming weeks, not about who scored (past tense) in past weeks

        • 11 Years

that's clear, but I think hazard will score more points. the ffs prediction also sees hazard above fabregas and as posted above every of the tree last gameweeks hazard made more points...

    Haven't asked this in a while 😉

    What to do?

    DDG/Gilks
    Cahill/Duff/Chester/Clyne/Dummet
    ADM/Sterling/Siggy/Downing/Marney
    Pelle/Costa/Aguero
    1.7itb

Save FT and do Chester + DDG -> Baines + Guzan next week? I could also do it for a hit this week
My concern is that I wouldn't be able to upgrade Downing in the near future.

    Thanks.

if you really want to do that, take the hit this week

you'll have something else you need to do next week

I would rather not. I kind of want to asses Everton's defence on more time, this should be an easy CS for Everton on paper. No point on investing on a player that is likely to get 2 points every week and a rare goal/assist.

    Is falcao worth having?

Selling him would enable baines/ivan at the back. Probably would get falcao back after the fixtures clear up.

Thinking about that, but current strategy is 3 cheapo's including Chambers+ Clyne+ premium defender, so that'll wait until Chambers good run is over.

      that;s tough

I dropped Eriksen for Henderson during the int'l break

Spurs just aren't clicking yet under Poch... fully expect to bring Eriksen back onto my team when they do... but that might not be until January or February
