With West Brom and Man United set to see out the Gameweek tomorrow, we delve into the data from the nine matches played so far. Unsurprisingly, Man City, Southampton and West Ham’s in-form front men are on this evening’s agenda, whilst we also cast an eye over a couple of improving north London-based midfielders.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    ADM Sterling Fabregas Siggy Arfield

    Costa Pelle Welbeck

This week: Mcgregor, Fab ----> Guzan, Chadli in time for good fixtures this GW.

Next week: Welbeck, Arfield -----> Aguero, Obertan

    OR

Next week: Welbeck, Moreno -----> Aguero, Hutton

    What's the verdict???

The funny thing is that Aguero's stats at home this season had been far inferior to his away numbers. That's why small samples can be so deceiving. His double digit shots yesterday will complete flip that around.

      This is his big season.

I can see 30 goals. Pellegrini is managing him well. He has figured out how to get the best out of Kun.

    I am doing:

    Siggy to Tadic

    &

    Lovren to 4.6m?

Is there anyone better than Chambers at that price or below? I know Arsenal are struggling with injuries but who else is a decent cheap pick?

      1st thought is, keep Siggy.
2nd thought is if you're chasing you need to do some bold moves. Tadic is a good move although I would want both..

Hutton, Chambers, Wisdom/Dawson, Colo, PVA, Wilson are all alternatives. I'd say the first 3 are the best for now.

Then again, you can make 8 transfers for 28 points anyway, so your number is possibly a bit high since there are a few you'd keep regardless.

As TM says, it all depends on when. Perfect timing would be a shake up in fixtures and form from 2 or 3 teams. Non wcers could keep up.

I don't like this Costa thing...people without Aguero will get easy swap now 🙁
At least most will need to take a hit and if Costa is back against QPR, maybe another hit then.

Scary part is that if he doesn't feature against united, his price will plummet and it will be risky
to captain him against QPR (possible cameo if no football in two weeks).

      Or...
Everyone else swaps him out, gets aguero, then when costa comes back they swap again and in the process lose something like 0.5m even I they had him from gw1! Don't worry about others, focus on how to get the most points yourself and the rest will take care of itself

Selling Costa allows me to upgrade Chester to Baines without a hit.

And I get Pelle in with the bargain. What's not to like?

It's a good bet Baines and Pelle will outscore Costa and Chester this year.

And I won't have to deal with the weekly hamstring drama 🙂

Looking at his fixtures in the long term I wouldn't swap him. Price means it's difficult to get him back plus a few hits might also be needed. Baines and Pelle's fixtures dry up soon enough. Costa & Aguero are the only season keepers in my book.

    Hazard, ADM, Sterling, Siggy (ElAhmadi)

If you are heavily focussing on something with diminished importance then isn't that a bad thing?

i don't know... saw someone with a pretty good OR already concerned that their team value is adrift of others and its impacting his options

i understand the sentiment, but when we're often holding players for weeks to squeeze at .1 gains (which means you gained nothing in team value when you transfer them again), having the right players that are going up in TV may be of greater benefit later in the season (for those who can become more disciplined about transfers as the season progresses)

Maybe. I guess it depends on your approach. I like having a few good value players rather than squeezing in all the big names.

I'm not sure myself. I'm just playing the way I have fun and rolling with it.

More curious how this pricing system change impacts how others do. Moves are so slow, then sudden.

    Anyone thinking Everton might use

    Barkley and Lukaku for PL,
    &
    Etoo and Naismith for Europa?

Because they are currently 13th in PL and they need to win all the relatively easy fixtures to gain their ranking..

Yeah. That was probably their plan from the beginning till Barkley got injured

      Nah doubt it.

Lineup on Saturday when everyone is fit is about right I think.

They seem to play their full-strength team in Europa though 😕

hmm..coming Europa game will make things clear...If they do play full strength team..owning an Everton player is slightly risky then..

Champions league place up for grabs to the winners. If they continue with full strength teams in EL, think that's a signal of intent from Martinez. More chance in EL than breaking top 4

Jumped to 22k from 48k in overall rank. I don't have Aguero and a lot of people have him as vice captain coming in. Think I can still get a green arrow?

Did everyone catch the 2 most idiotic own goals in a single game?

Really want Falcao to come good tonight..I don't have him but it'd be good to throw a cat in amongst the pigeons....Going to have to improve a bit though.

Jumped from 180k to 5k this weekend. Just shows that its still very tight in the top 300k or so and picking the right captain seems vital.

Its a Marathon not a snickers.

Who is best Everton player (fpl-wise) who isn't a defender?

Lukaku and Barkley. Given wealth of striking options I'd go Barkley

      tough one

Mirallas (when back to health), Barkley & Naismith are all relatively cheap, but will all be rotated periodically to accommodate all players getting starts, Europa, etc.

Lukaku will get his points but I think he may be a little over-priced for what you get

be advised that Martinez has a strict policy that if a player scores in a game, they start the next game, keeps both subs and starters quite motivated
