I have Chambers so would prefer not to double up with Mertesacker, but that does seem the obvious option. If City tighten up and he manages to sneak a goal and a few BPs he could be a decent differential

I think they're about even - which is what I thought since the start.
I'm trying to convince myself that if I have Fabregas I can get away with Costa -> Aguero. Fab assist most of Costas goals.
I think that's actually quite sound reasoning, plus there's the fact that there isn't really a City midfielder to 'cover' Aguero.

What do people think of Barkley? Played really well and he's at an amazingly tempting price.
My only worry is that I'm a little wary of young players. While some of them are great talents, it generally takes a while to start converting to actual fantasy points. Rarely do you see a complete breakout season like Ramsey (or even Sterling to a degree). Am I correct in thinking this or is he a good choice?

4 weeks of knowing sturridge would have scored from sterling passOr a week of that and 3 of Lambert holding the ball up for Sterling and Lallana to run off him

Did costa -> Aguero because of the following reasons (wanted to do last week but didnt do 🙁 )
1. Aguero gets more bonus points
2. No. of yellow cards for costa
3. City plays more attacking football meaning ageuro has more chances for goal.
Need suggestions:
1. Should i downgrade welbeck to improve chadli/boyd because i expect chadli/siggy to not got more points very soon
2. Any other suggestions to make team even better?i love when people try to rationalise an insane early transfer 😆

Costa still good option, although I do think there's a good chance regression may hit soonish. Not sure what to do with him myself.
Aguero is lot more greater than costa. Only risk with aguero is he might get an injury at a bad time.
I am not saying costa is bad. He is as good as aguero. But you cant have both in your team unless you are reducing other areas.
i wanted to bring in aguero after GW3. But i wanted to do without reducing my defence or midfield big.
Now with the knowledge of sturridge missinf few more games meant, i got a chance to downgrade sterling so i was able to bring aguero.
My next objective is to bring costa for welbeck after 5-6 weeks.Need to build money for that

It's a great season this time around, I tend to be sporadic in my entry in to Fantasy Football (didn't play last season, played season before, didn't play season before, played season before...) simply because it ends up taking up a lot of my time which I can't always dedicate. I'm 'all or nothing' kind of guy.
So can't speak for a couple of seasons in the last four, but based on the ones I have played, there just seems to be so many options. There seems to be a clear template of good players, but then a number of players on the periphery with low ownership, consistently promising statistics who are now bringing home the bacon (Tadic, Chadli, Downing, Mane etc.).
It's always great when this is the case as it makes for a more competitive game and also rewards you for the time you actually put in to research this sh*t. My mate had a go at me for supposedly 'cheating' by using this website. I told him it's available to him as well if he wants to use it and it's hardly cheating as I'm not f**king psychic. Pardon mon francais.You're a very angry chap... Chill. It's a (great) game.

Your point is well taken, and because I am congenitally uncomfortable with boring templateness (not saying this is smart, just saying it is my way), I think Sterling is the one. He is the right price for the other things I want to do, his production has slowed down a bit, and he will be stretched by CL (not true of Siggy and ADM, but similarly true of Fabregas). For me it's Sterling to go for Tadic and other.Keep ulloa and Sterling? Who to get for them?
