This starts off like a gloat, but it's not: it's ratcheting up the tension.
About a week ago I posted a Community Article saying, among other things, have fun, ditch some everyone-owned players like Costa, and win the short game by making a surprise move.
Friday night I made a series of posts arguing that the Telegraph had it right (nobody but Demi went with me on this), that Costa wouldn't play--maybe for a couple of matches--and that the brave move was to drop Costa this week for a scorer. I was mercilessly mocked.
Saturday morning I dropped Costa for Falcao for -4 and put the armband on him (as stupid as it now sounds, I never intended to captain Aguero, whom I have). I was mercilessly mocked.
The player who would have come in for Costa, Rodwell, scored 1.
I know your temptation is to say some variant of "cool story brah," but the point is this: Falcao's performance tomorrow will make the difference between glory and ignominy for me. If he blanks I am a flighty, impulsive knee-jerker who couldn't face the spectre of a non-playing Costa and payed the deserved price (including merciless mockery). If Falcao comes through, I was a foresighted genius who went against the grain and courageously stole a march on the sleepy masses.
OK, let's face it, I'm a flighty, impulsive knee-jerker who might get really lucky tomorrow! 🙂

So I made the FT of Costa to Aguero and it was probably my best transfer of the season. The only damper on this is, I still captained Falcao who was already in my team. But like you, I never intended to captain Aguero. So what will I be, a foresighted genius who went against the grain but still managed to look like an idiot on Monday.
