The obvious is Costa to Aguero but depends on the injury status. Most seem to be holding out for more news.

      Save the transfer obviously.

If Costa doesn't play you have Lovren 1st sub.

2 FT's will be much more useful for GW10 fixtures.

Got rid of Lukaku this week. Even though he's been scoring, he's been getting one goal or one assist. At 9m he ties up too much budget when there's better value in the 5-8m strikers.

Kind of knee jerky, but my team is looking like this now:

    Mannone-Foster
    Wisdom-Naylor-Clyne-Chambers-Moore
    Fabregas-ADM-Sterling-Chadli-Boyd
    Costa-Welbeck-Aguero

    0.0 ITB

Im thinking transfers for this week:

    Sterling-->Tadic
    Costa--->Pelle
    Wisdom ---> Baines

All three for a -4 hit and 1.0m ITB

    Yay or Nay???

If I go with A, then I will be able to get Welbeck within the next 2 weeks.

Do we think Oscar is a real option now? He is putting in tackles and tracking back and has got his form back. Looks fit and motivated.

Mourinho has been resting him for the big games so far but he played Oscar against Arsenal and the way Oscar's been playing and contributing to every part of the game I don't feel he'll be dropped.

At £8.3m he could be a real bargain

Topic of the week: Diego Costa: Should he stay or should he go?

    Reasons to sell:
    1) Injury doubt, every week. Its getting boring now.
    2) Costa is not a bonus point darling
    3) Old Trafford next, Liverpool in a few of weeks. Mourinho will play it tight and his scores will be modest.
    4) QPR at home looks worth holding him for, but Mourinho could choose to rest him here with remy being plenty good enough to put them to the sword
    5) Pelle and Welbeck (I have Welbeck) look in decent form, are nailed and have great fixtures. They are also far cheaper (meaning Baines, Coleman, Ivan etc are easy to accommodate)
    6) Anyone without Aguero has an easy route upgrade to a better player [IMO].
    7) Ownership vs Opportunity. Owning a lesser owned player in his place will mean you are in a higher risk zone. Greater chance of making big moves forward (with the added risk of slipping up big time if he outscores your differential)

    Reasons to keep:
    1) He's the game's top scorer, in the league's best team. He WILL score points regularly.
    2) Captaincy option.
    3) Value loss. Most people will have made a tidy profit on him, selling him will halve those gains. If you sell him and decide you want him back, you'll need to come up with that cash from somewhere else.
    4) Big game player. At Old Trafford next, with Liverpool on the horizon and a nice home game against QPR. IF he plays all three, he's the most likely match winner in each, with a big haul in between.
    5) Ownership vs Safety. As a defensive strategy, covering the game's most owned player means you can tread water more easily - less likely to sink (but harder to swim up the ranking, though).

    How do you see it?

I just read the question and my reply is he should stay unless ruled out for more than a week

When 60% of the teams get his goals every week and you are left behind, you'll regret it SOS.

But it's a game and it should be played for fun so do what you wish 🙂

But if Pelle gets there or thereabouts, it won't really matter.

I have Aguero to captain too.

Pelle will stop or at least slow down on his scoring once the good fixtures are over but Costa won't imo.

No need to get rid unless injured for more than 2 weeks imo.

Though the ideal front line right now would be Aguero, Costa, Pelle

But Pelle has good fixtures for a while and I do not own him.

Thats the main temptation - I can bring DC in again later for Welbz if he doesn't build on the late goal this GW

No. 6 is the only real reason to sell IMO. Hope he's ruled out which will make it an easy decision. Those who own Costa & Aguero already are in a great position...

If i did not own Sergio already, that would be enough for me to sell Costa - regardless of injury

Earlier in the season I sold Costa after believing an injury rumour. I had to WC to get him back and I've never really recovered. I think I'll keep him for now.

Having sold him once I won't lose so much
The potential rest v QPR could be crucial, who do they play in champ league either side

Champs League vs Maribor to follow the game, plenty of rest before hand after the United trip though.

I think he'll play unless there is another injury concern.

Also, Maribor before the United game - Mou will probably fuel the injury speculation by omitting him ahead of the big PL clash.

I personally think he'll play both PL games, but that all comes down to them maintaining his hammy.

with less of an impact from TV loss than previous seasons, im fully tempting to sell. already have kun and selling costa would free up many a coin

if he's out for 2 weeks plus - Sell.. but keep a backup plan for gettin him back
If he's back for mun/QPR - keep obviously

      Bottomline: wait until Friday

I'm keeping. I believe he will score big against Utd and Liverpool. Chelsea will only play tight when its City. He has nothing to fear when it comes to Liverpool or Utd with their shambolic defenses. I wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea hammers both teams.

I'd keep him till we know he wasn't just rested this week. It was only last week he was being described as essential. It'll cost money to buy him back also.

Yeah, last week i was arguing against his essential status. He's just a very good option IMO.

In my opinion, you need to decide who you want more, Costa or Aguero. Having both (again in my opinion) creates to much imbalance in your squad. Personally speaking, I think Aguero (for as long as he is fit) will our score Costa.

Completely agree. I have both though, so from my perspective the decision is much more complex.

If I didn't have Aguero i'd see it as a no brainer - and because of this, i can see him plummeting in value as everyone else goes for the Argie

On a scale of Upney to Doosra how nuts is Berahino (c) next week?
