http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/comment/8591141We're just hours away from sticking it to the man.
Let's keep this train a'rollin.
Regardless of positions and prices, which pair would you rather have? I am currently on A and have Tadic...
A) RvP and Mane
or
B) Cahill and RooneyTim Cahill? I'm confused.
B all the way. RVP looks shot for some reason. If LVG had the balls he would drop him and start Falcao and Rooney up top
Gary Cahill. It's for a draft game.
Gotcha. Yeah, B.
Get rid of RVP immediately.
Lost on bottom of last page.
Naismith, Sakho or Berahino? Please suggestBera
Yes Bera has nice fixtures and form.
Anyone care to fill me in on why everyone is dropping ADM? And should I?
fixtures came off with a knock, free up cash for baines i reckon
went off injured, and United's fixtures have toughened up. Personally I'd hold unless there's more injury news.
a) Berahino + Baines
b) Pelle + Chambers/HuttonA all the way
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Should I go Azpili -> Baines this week?
Yes
Of course.
I just did
Di Maria doesn't have a serious injury. If people are selling him because of fixtures then why was he such a bandwagon last week?! Just for one game v wba?
Season keeper for me as long as he's healthy. He's central to anything United do
even at the expense of costa would you say?
Hrm definitely a tough call there. I'd prefer to find a way to keep both but perhaps Costa news will make all our lives a little easier
+1 much to consider
best strikers for UCL tomorrow, according to william hill betting 😛 :
messi > remy > martinez, aguero > cavaniSwap Cavani with Remy and I am fine with it. Although there is really no reason why Aguero should start - Dzeko as a lone striker or even Dzeko and Jovetic up top should get the job done against CSKA.
thankfully that game stars first, im seriously considering aguero, dzeko is actually infront of cavani but didnt mention him because of kun
Pfft. I will be on Cavani (c) tomorrow 😀 brace incoming.
I don't trust him, he's no Ibra. Hope he will atleast be assisted by Lucas 😉
Messi(c) for me
Dawson or Wisdom ?
Wisdom played yesterday and played well...can it be trusted that he is nailed on on, or is Dawson the safest route to WBA defense ?
Thanks !Dawson. You'll sleep better at night.
Dawson is slightly safer, but I don't see Wisdom missing many games with his form.
lets just hope Aguero wont het injured in the UCL . it will be a big mess not having Costa and Aguero for W9
I still have a feeling Costa will play vs United despite what Mourinho said
Agreed
@Diva if you're still on
I've been following the price change sites for the last couple of weeks and anyone over about -80% will fall in the next couple of days. Costa was at -84% and increasing rapidly, which made me think he was one of the more likely fallers....on FFF
Thanks Billy. I've been trying to get a sense of the math going on behind the scenes, and based on what I thought I knew the Costa drop seemed far, far too quick. It puts a whole new complexion on the trade or not question if a high ownership player with added value (like Costa, Siggy, Fab etc if you got them early) were to be out for a few weeks. The question now is what is the threshold for the second drop in a Gameweek...
I imagine Costa's drop was rapid as he's only got the lightest of flags. Rooney's was slow as he was instantly red flagged.
I think your 60k estimate is a bit low too as his NTO would've started last week. I think it'd be nearer 100k
Costa was flagged Friday and had just over 6,000 out between the price change times at Friday 2.45am and Saturday 2.45am. He had more than 3,000 NTI the day before and there's no reason to assume he had NTO in the days between then and his last price rise on October 12. If anything, I expect his NTO prior to this drop was below 60,000 from the point of his last rise. 😯
His ownership was 82k lower than peak ownership at the price changes
About 70k less than when his price rose, so that seems a reasonable figure. Very low indeed.
Yes, I guess transfers between Saturday 2.45am and the GW deadline could explain the difference between our figures. As you say, it seems very low (for a player with his level of ownership).
Ah, OK. Still, something seems to have changed this season. Even without a flag I would have expected an NTO of more than 200,000 would be required for a drop on a player with his level of ownership.
Currently:
Forster (Eliot)
Bertrand, Baines, NTaylor, Wisdom, Duff
Schneiderlin, Fabregas, Sigursdon, ADM, Hendo,
Costa, Welbeck, Aguero
Fancy a knee-jerky punt on Tadic holding form
A) Schneiderlin + Fabregas > Tadic +Eriksen
or
B) Scheiderlin +Welbeck > Tadic + Berahino
? ThanksA by a mile
A
Cheers both
Already used my FT, anything worth taking a -4 on? I really want to get Tadic in but I'm not sure how. I also am looking to ship Ulloa out. Any tips?
Forster/Myhill
Clyne, Hutton, Wisdom, Baines
Sterling, Fab, ADM, Siggy
Costa, Aguero
Ulloa, Duff, CattermoleNothing worth a -4.
What are peoples thoughts on Downing as a 5th mid. Waste of money? Or good rotation for Berahino?
Don't rotate attackers.
I think that's a good option. More points in your squad is usually a good thing, it gives you options when weeks like this with no Costa happens. You just have to accept that it might lead to benched points at times.
I VCed Sakho this week. I bought him gw 5. Think the steam is about to run out against Man City? Fixtures are Stoke and Villa after. Time to drop?
Also gambled on Schlupp this game week. Sometime you lose...Cant help but feel Sakho has been very fortunate with some of his scoring. Valencia is a vastly better player but you cant argue with Sakho's fantasy points output. Ive been thinking his luck will run out for several games now but then thought the same thing about Yaya last season.
Who to play? Ulloa at Swansea, Wisdom at home to Palace, or Hutton at QPR?
Hutton
Wisdom
My current team:
Foster (Mannone)
Baines, Bertrand, Chambers (Naylor, Moore)
Di Maria, Sterling, Siggy, Downing
Costa, Aguero, Pelle
I'm thinking of doing Naylor -> Hutton to free up the funds to get Chadli in for Downing.
Downing (who has City at home) has impressed me over the last few weeks but I'm still not sure whether I should get Chadli (who was Newcastle at home).
Thoughts?I have 2FT and 0.5 ITB by the way.
Anyone considering Berahino as a third forward...? Nice fixtures and form...or too risky ?
Would enable to upgrade your fifth midfielder or defense and makes rotation possible, which could be of value if some of the template players are rested or injured...Does look a decent option but I find it hard to look beyond Aguero/Costa/Pelle/Welbeck at the moment. It is pretty crazy that 4 out of the top seven forwards have a price of below 6 though.
He's already my third forward. Allows me a midfield of ADM, Fab, Sterling and Siggy, plus Costa and Aguero up front and Ivan in defence.
At a complete loss as to who to bring in for Azpi. Current defence is Baines / Chambers / Moore / Duff / Azpi. I have 6.1 to spend on a replacement. Any ideas?
One of the Southampton bunch?
Already got Forster, worth doubling up?
If you don't fancy two S/Ham attackers then yes double up - still four good fixtures
That's my feeling too. Luis also seems an okay option although @ United and @ Liverpool don't look great over the next 3, even if it is Chelsea...
Luis for 3 weeks?
I usually hate short term transfers but that's not a bad idea.
i went jags
Was planning a Foster for Mannone transfer but read that he's injured. How long is he likely to be out for?
Supposedly stands a chance next week, but I'd hold off. Mannone is generally solid - he won't play Shampton every week 🙂
It's not Mannone playing against Southampton that I'm worried about. It's Mannone playing for that Sunderland defence that's freaking me out.
This doesn't really help illuminate NTO required for high ownership players who have risen a long way before they start to drop on a flag (if that does indeed change things), but maybe this says something about the NTO needed for flagged super-high ownership players to drop once they are at or below their starting price?
Aaron Ramsey NTO this season >730,000
Price below starting price: 0.2
Price below peak price: 0.3
Wayne Rooney NTO this season >1,060,000
Price drop below starting price (and peak price): 0.3Really impressed with Berahino. Most impressive thing today aside from the lethal finish in his one opportunity though was staying on his feet when he could've gone down to win a penalty. Great attitude.
could've done better with the two long passes he recieved from brunt tho
I only remember the one in which he took a heavy touch trying to go inside Rojo. Could've done better there but that's one that rarely comes off.
there was one in each half, first touch let him down both times, shame....
Young and makes mistakes, but great attitude, not afraid to give it a go and improving all the time. We'll struggle to hold onto him...
Struggling to decide who he reminds me of. Defoe comparison is just too easy but I think he has more about him in general. And obviously he looks to be more clinical.
Quality player already and will only get better. Would score a shedload for Spurs. What about kevin philips or keegan, he is a good plyaer and I think he could be in line for england in the near future
He actually reminds me more of Owen than those two I think.
Good call.
Finished the GW with 1m rise in rank, back to business 🙂
1) Keep Cisse or transfer out? Whom to get? Welbeck or cheap striker like Berahino/Sakho?
2) How did Maria play last night? Worth keeping or get Sanchez?
Thanks!Di Maria was great, but got subbed out and could be an injury risk, plus he has two hard matches on the horizon
Thanks! 🙂
Nothing from lvg regarding Di maria then?
.@ManUtd manager Louis van Gaal says Angel Di Maria suffered a knee to his thigh and will be assessed, but could be ok in four days #mufc
Would suggest a cork then. Hopefully anyway.
He'll be fine.
Hmm. Hopefully his ownership decreases
Ah relief but with Boyd 1st sub no need to worry for me
Yeah same here. One of the reasons I did early transfers this week. My bench looks rather good should anyone get injured.
I voted for you nate, though I think you should reconsider vargas. The rest looks good.
Cheers mate but called off the campaign long ago 🙂
Team Malaysia ftw 😎
Too little too late 🙁
We were only good when it didn't matter. Pre-season then the dead rubber 😆
The only time I randomly picked the xi 😆
It was fun anyway though I doubt I'll be a captain again
Hi all,
I think it may be time to ditch DDG!
Best replacement with this lot?
DDG,
Wisdom, Clyne, Naylor
Di Maria, Mane, Sterling, Siggy,
Aguero, Welbeck, Costa
Subs. Gilks, Chambers, Cahill, Marney,
1 ft- 0.4 in account..
Forster I'm thinking.
Anyone else?
Can be short term enough as havent played WC yet.Baines or Pelle.. Can only get one..
Anyone else surprised by not falling as much as you were expecting last night?
I rose 😎
& so did my ranking.
Jeez 304. Congrats!
Nice, good luck 🙂
I thought I'd go for 30k to 80k, only went to 60k
But my brother fell alot, he had a huge gameweek, this gw has saved his season he fell 60k to 114k.
A bit surprised alright.
stayed in the top 15k.
From reading posts here i thought id drop to lower than 100kWhile the pages are moving slow, I'd like some thoughts on this.
Best way to get Aguero in to this team? 1 FT, 0.0 ITB
Forster
Ivanovic Clyne Baines
Fabregas Di Maria Sterling Sigurdsson
Costa Pelle Welbeck
Elliot Moore Caulker AlbrightonWould involve losing both Costa and ADM I think.
I was thinking Eriksen and Aguero in for Di Maria and Costa. When I type it out it doesn't look so great though.
Costa and Ivan out. Or Di Maria to Eriksen

New ramblingsIt will be pretty hard to break into top 1k this year
Last year come January it was basically full of casuals and the 2nd half of the season was really a stroll in the park going from over 100k to top 1k.
Apart from maybe pelle can't seem to recall anything surprising. Nearly all highly owned players were expected to be there pre seasonI think there's still some differentials to look out for. I would get rid of di maria for hazard if I had him.
Lamela has been terrible so far, but if he gets form and learns the premier league maybe in the second half he might be a surprise.
It's good to be king hey.
