After the best Gameweek tally in living memory, I reserve the right for a bit of a gloat. Having risked the Wildcard back in Gameweek 7, the stars aligned and everything fell into place last weekend, leaving my ScoutCast co-host, grumpy Granville, grabbing at straws and smashing TV sets in frustration.

After last season’s defeat, I revel in my moment of glory but still find time to lock horns with Granville over the great Costa debate. Is Jose playing with our minds? I certainly think so but, as Granville points out, I reckon the Lunar landings were fake. I love a good conspiracy, me.

      Costa`s numbers arent actually THAT insanely impressive. Theyre good, but not immense. And Chelsea will score less when the games tighten up. And you can`t bloody own everyone, can you.

    2.9 ITB and 1FT. I really wanna get Baines in for Moreno but I am pretty happy with my starting 3 and even if the troll does have to come off the bench could get a CS...possibly.

    What does everyone make of PVA -> Kaboul and Bego -> Guzan for -4. Really need a better 3rd defender with PVA, Duff and Moore as my choices at present.

        Thanks for the reply.

        Other potential issues at the moment are Costa and Di Maria. I don't see these as issue though. I'm one of the Costa faithful and think I have decided to stick with him. Di Maria's didnt look too bad an injury.

        I could just wait until just before the deadline to be sure on Costa. What do you reckon?

        Also, I had been tossing up Rose/Kaboul, but my main concern is the idea itself, not the choice of defender I make.

    coleman done. really wanted alexis too but had to be one or the other. if a 6.9mil striker had 3 goals and an assist in 5 starts this season then i'd be interested so coming from a defender damn that's enticing.

    One of the first week where I literally have no clue what to do, so help is appreciated!

    As you can see, 2 FT and 1.5 in the bank. Prior to the Costa drama, main goal was to bring in Baines this week. I still want to, but if I do Costa --> Pelle, I have the cash to upgrade basically any defender to Baines, but since I have Clyne + Bertrand and Tadic, gives me too much Soton. Would you guys rather have a defenser of Bertrand/Kaboul/Baines or double Soton/Baines for the upcoming fixtures? This would mean I need a different striker.

    Or if I were to hold Costa, could do either Kaboul or Clyne to Baines, and the same defense preference question is raised. But If I got Baines for Kaboul, would leave me 0.6 short, so would need to downgrade Kelly to a 3.9, or downgrade a midfielder.

    Long read, but would really appreciate the input, want to act soon before prices change!

    Hmmm, interesting. Hadn't thought about the Hazard + Fab combo. Selling Costa has me scheming on how to get him back constantly, but maybe ADM > Fab (owned Hazard since GW1) next week is enough coverage? Would be:

    I have 2.1itb and have to decide which one I want to target next week out of Oscar and Coleman.

    Which would you do?

    A) Taylor>Coleman + a (-4) to raise 0.2 (eg. Siggy>Hendo or Downing>Milner/Boyd as 5th mid)
    B) Siggy>Oscar with 0.2itb
