Dear fellow punt takers, I'm in need of advice for the first time.

Please take it easy on me.

Started off very shaky in my first EPL fantasy season mostly due to ignorance. I had no idea how C/VC or substitutions worked. No clue about FFScout, FPLStatistics, or Bonus Points for that matter.

Thankfully after making a series of bold moves, I've been rewarded with 5 straight weeks of green arrows and finally sneaked into the top 100K

    http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/2678490/history/

    Team RxRated:
GW9: 48 pts (-4) with ADM, Ivanovic and Lukaku © left

    Courtois (Hart)
Fonte // Ivanovic // Moreno (Vlaar // Wisdom)
    ADM // Sanchez // Siggy // Tadic (Ward-Prowse)
    Berahino // Dzeko // Lukaku

    1FT 0.5 ITB

My priorities are to get rid of Dzeko, Ward-Prowse and downgrade one of my keepers.

    A. Hart/Courtois + Dzeko >> Jakupovic + Diego Costa for -4 hit
With this option I would start Siggy away at Everton GW10 (Left with 0 ITB)

    B. Ward-Prowse + Dzeko >> Sakho + Eriksen for -4 hit
With this option I would favor of Eriksen away at Aston Villa GW10 over Siggy (Left with 0.3 ITB)

    C. Ward-Prowse + Dzeko >> Sakho + Moses for -4 hit (2.6 ITB)

    D. Ward-Prowse + Dzeko >> Valencia + Moses for -4 hit (1.4 ITB)

    E. Ward-Prowse + Dzeko >> Moses + Pelle for -4 hit (0.1 ITB)

    F. Dzeko > Sakho with FT and +2.7 (3.2 ITB)

    G. Surprise me with your suggestion!

I am open to any other recommendations. As you can see, I'm not a bandwagon manager. Popular opinion hardly fazes me as I don't mind being different than the rest.

Not interested in Welbeck because I own Sanchez to cover Arsenal. I know most of you like Pelle, but after watching him closely I feel like he either completely ON or completely OFF. Seems like every game he misses a couple of clear cut chances and today was the perfect example of what he brings in my opinion. Plus I already own Tadic to cover Southampton. Barkley looks enticing as he gets more playing time but won't get him as long as I stick with Lukaku. Aguero is a luxury I can't afford. Look out for Vargas on Monday. I was born in Chile and I can tell you he is an as good a form as Sanchez right now.

I'm leaning toward option B because of the differential potential. Been loyal to Siggy since GW1 but I'm pretty confident Eriksen might outplay him these next 3 weeks solely because of their fixtures.

    Thank you for caring. Cheers.

    Player - Next 3

    Eriksen - @Avilla, Stoke, @HUL
    Moses - WHam, @TOT, Burnley
    Sakho/Valencia - @Stoke, AVilla , @Everton
    Siggy - @Everton, Arsenal, @MCity

A for me. If fit, which looks pretty likely, Costa at home to QPR is not to be passed up on. Fixing the balance in your squad by ditching one of those expensive keepers is a nice added bonus.

A obviously seems like the logical choice hence his high ownership. However, all of this Diego Costa hamstring injury non-sense along with Mourinho mind games is driving me nuts. At the same time, its pretty nuts to go without him. I shipped him out last week along with Sterling and got Sanchez + Berahino which will hopefully pay off.

A for me, Costa could explode.

Also, two 4.5 keepers that rotate well (even just based on home/away) will get you more points over the season than a single expensive one. So downgrade both over the next few weeks.

Yea I didn't pick up on the value of cheap GKs until it was too late. My initial logic was that Chelsea and MCity were the most likely to pick up clean sheets. Thanks for the responses guys!

No way. As a Liverpool-fan, i can safely say that the team is really playing poorly, and Sterling in no way is defending his price atm. We create very little, and im pretty sure none of this will change over the next few games. Silva looking extremely good, and even though he can be underwhelming in FPL terms, id much rather have the better player for the better team. Sterling is out for me next week, havent decided on going for Sanchez or Chelsea mid.

Uhm. United`s fixtures are horrendous? And the fact that his goal threat is higher now than at Real doesnt really mean much, hes the only danger man at United, whereas in Real he never really looked all that dangeous in that aspect.

        • 14 Years

"It doesn't mean much" - err...yes it does? People citing his Madrid goal tally for justification that he doesn't have much goal threat where you just said yourself that he's more likely to score at United.

He has CPL HUL STK in the next 5, and games against Arsenal and Man City who are defending terribly at the moment. Horrendous? lol.

When you consider that the majority of his points at this point have come by fluke (never mind that hes been the best player on the pitch in most of his games), when the fixtures toughen up its not really that appealing. Fact of the matter is that hes just not really all that big of a goal threat. His finishing isnt all that consistent. Only reason i think hes more likely to score at United rather than Real is cus he was surrounded by better players making better runs, whereas in United hes pretty much on his own at this point.

Stop presenting your opinion as facts. Youre looking pretty obnoxious at this point.

Berahino is on fire but these sorts of runs rarely last at mid-table teams. Welbeck as only scored 2 goals in the league but has slghtly easier games and Arsenal are the bigger treat to smash teams by 3 or 4.

Nothing will happen there's not enough evidence to show deliberate spite or intention to cause harm imo

If the referee has seen it, there can be no retrospective ban. He was right on top of it though, but I suppose there's a slim chance he managed to miss it.

        Nothing to see there.
        Intent is not clear.
The ball was there for the taking.

Be different if it was a stamp or hit with the ball nowhere to be seen..

For now...Mane hasn't had as many minutes, will have 'em now, and he will go ahead. His goals will outscore Tadic's assists.

Is Siggy really that much of a priority to ship? Let's take a look at his blanks:

GW4 - Chelsea - wasn't expected to do anything against the title favorites.
      GW5 - Southampton - reduced to 10 men.
      GW6 - Sunderland - reduced to 10 men.
6W8 - Stoke - should've scored but tried to take on the keeper.

At 6.8 - he's still 2nd in the points total for midfielders. Swansea are starting to look good and everything goes through him.

And the 3 defences he's coming up against seem to be overrated on here.

He isnt worth selling, there no other player for that price that will consistantly gather points.

He's still great value, and it's just three tough fixtures, agreed. It's a good opportunity to catch a jump though, as his ownership is so high, and Swansea are likely to find the next few games difficult.

Top 10K (prior to this GW - can't imagine much movement though)

      - 86% of captains played
      - Average of just over 3 players to play.

      Bodes well.
