The season could barely have started brighter for Raheem Sterling after the youngster grabbed two goals and an assist in the opening three Gameweeks for Liverpool. With Daniel Sturridge sidelined ever since, however, Sterling has struggled to replicate his early form, scoring just once and earning a pair of assists in the subsequent six Gameweeks.

Despite a weekend showdown against Newcastle on his agenda, Sterling is the most sold player in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, with over 65,000 owners parting company in order to acquire the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Dusan Tadic and Cesc Fabregas.

In our second members article of the week, we take a look at his displays with and without Sturridge on the park in order to ascertain just why he’s failed to deliver.

I'm going to try my hand at fortune telling - just polished my crystal balls and the force is strong this week.

Burnley will put up a good fight and Sanchez will be overshadowed by Ramsey or the like. 2-0 Sanchez 3 points.

Couple of weeks ago Costa was the most essential player in this game. Suddenly people say to themselves that Hazard covers his points so Costa is not needed. Did Hazard even assist one of Costa's goals? Same people say that they are afraid of having no Arsenal cover. Lets be honest. You are afraid of not having Sanchez this week.   Yes. When you have Arsenal and Chelsea with great home fixtures and Aguero on this form captaining a player from a mid-table team away isn't really going to work that often. Probably a bit harsh on Soton to call them midtable but I don't see them finishing in the top 6 come the end of the season.
