The season could barely have started brighter for Raheem Sterling after the youngster grabbed two goals and an assist in the opening three Gameweeks for Liverpool. With Daniel Sturridge sidelined ever since, however, Sterling has struggled to replicate his early form, scoring just once and earning a pair of assists in the subsequent six Gameweeks.

Despite a weekend showdown against Newcastle on his agenda, Sterling is the most sold player in the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) game, with over 65,000 owners parting company in order to acquire the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Dusan Tadic and Cesc Fabregas.

In our second members article of the week, we take a look at his displays with and without Sturridge on the park in order to ascertain just why he’s failed to deliver.

    No it's not. Sanchez looks like a terrific option based on recent weeks, while Siggy's fixtures turn red for the next free weeks. If I have the cash, I'd definitely do it.

    Is Costa's game time the only reason people are considering not captaining him or is it that they genuinely think someone will just outscore him?

      The main worry is that he isn't 100% fit so you don't know if he will start, and Chelsea haven't looked that good the last games (might be because Costa has been injured), also he has only scored more than 6 points two times this season, and unless he gets more than a goal he won't get bonus points like other strikers often do..

    I'm a slightly regretful Costa seller, although there is still time to reverse the decision (i.e. this week now his value has dropped!)

    I'm thinking with the Christmas schedule on the horizon is it really worth rushing to get him back? especially with Chelsea league cup game on the 16th Dec, he's going to miss a few games.

    Mind you I was going to get hazard and with the depth in midfield he will probably get a few rests as well.

              Thing about Berahino is, don't you expect regression.

              Spurs went the Gareth Bale season without winning a penalty, this lad has already scored 3. He might not get one the entire season. And his conversion is through the roof (33% is last season Yaya toure standard)

      Absolutely not. I fancy Siggy to at least match downing in the coming weeks and outscore him over the season. Even if Downing does marginally better, saving the FT this week when Siggy plays a leaky Everton team seems like a much more sensible move.
