Flabbergasted by my reluctance to tinker and the decision to throw away my Gameweek 9 transfer, Granville canโ€™t wait to get stuck into me in the ScoutCast studio.

My co-host roughs me up over my cowardice, then slaps me around for the fact that I appeared to hoodwink the entire world over Diego Costaโ€™s fitness. We then go on to appraise the merits of Ed Sheeran, check in on Neil Warnockโ€™s latest gripes and weigh up the Sterling vs Sanchez vs Hazard debate. Meanwhile, Kieran Trippierโ€™s cross count without an assist for Granville hits 66 and counting. Whoโ€™s dithering now, eh Granville?

Dilly-dally over this episode via this link or dawdle in its direction via the player belowโ€ฆ

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Sterling, Sigurdsson, Tadic, Chadli
    Agüero, Costa, Welbeck

    Mannone, Boyd, Hutton, Bardsley

Is it worth doing Bardsley>Chambers and play him over Siggy?

Last year was the year of dullards I think. This year there are so many options that there are no obvious, boring picks a lot of the time!

dnt really agree its still very template just the template moves in time

good think with dullard approach is not rushing into moves

ie ppl that lost patience with tadic and lost his big haul

or similar with those who sold fabgregas etc

Who would you get rid of in this midfield 5 for Boyd in order to upgrade my strikeforce(Vardy ๐Ÿ™‚ )

    Eriksen Tadic Sterling Adm Siggy

Had Eriksen since the start and he's done ok. Siggy is just brilliant value. Tadic has 3 good fixtures. Sterling has good fixtures and still has good stats and Sturridge back soon. Adm has 3 tough away games in the next 6 but is the main attacking threat at Manutd.

Eriksen/Tadic/Siggy can get me Sakho/Berahino for Vardy
Sterling can get me a forward uptil 10.2
    Adm can get me Costa

Vardy dint turn out to be the ideal bench fodder i'd planned on. and Boyd offers similar at 0.5 cheaper. I dont wanna get rid of Aguero or Welbz so i've got just one spot left and i want to fill it up with Costa/Sakho instead of wasting it

      Fixed now.

Pretty harsh though that Fabregas, the top scoring midfielder so far, is 10th in the midfield watchlist, though. I know it's based on the idea of cover, but I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest that more than one Chelsea midfielder is a better option than Chadli, Downing, Tadic, Mane, Siggy etc.

Good point. For me Fabregas + Sigurdsson are not going anywhere. Which give me 2 spaces + cheapy in midfield.

          Fabregas - Sterling - Walcott - Sigurdsson?

Sterling or ADM possibly. Will all depend on how heavy I go on the forwards I suppose.

i dont have a Chelsea attacker or Sanchez and weighin up getting one in for Adm for free.. bought him @ 9.7 so not as big a loss as most.
mci, ars, sot, LIV, avl, tot, stk, SOT in the 12 games leading upto the Jan WC and while he could do well in those not sure he'll do as well as say Hazard/Fabs/Sanchez/Wally

      What's 10million well?

He's on 7 points a game at the moment, which isn't too bad. It would be over 250 points if he kept up the current rate until the end of the season and he could have easily got points against Chelsea and more against West Brom had Van Persie converted his chances.

    Defense is:
    Bertrand - Hutton - Chester - Duff - N. Taylor

Do I take a hit to get Chester out for Chambers? Or which defender?

    Hi,

Which two of these defenders should be sitting on my bench tomorrow...

    Chambers Kaboul, Clyne, Moreno, Hutton

    I am thinking Hutton+1 so....

    Squad doubts: Costa, Mane...

    Silva Replacements? 9.5 to spend.

Nobody jumps out at me in the higher price bracket (Hazard and Alexis are too expensive and would require a hit)

Worth downgrading to the likes of Downing? Allowing funds to upgrade Henderson next GW?

I really don't want to just get someone for the sake of replacing Silva. I like to try and think long term. Sitting at 18k at the moment.

Could you do Silva > Hazard/Sanchez and Henderson > Downing for a hit then? I'd be quite tempted by that... would fancy Downing to outscore Henderson given West Ham's next fixtures, and the Silva move could pay off big this week given Hazard/Sanchez's fixtures.

I would definitely be tempted with Ramsey (Arsenal fan) but I have my sights on Walcott in a couple of weeks and already have Welbeck.

        What I can afford;

        Hazard + 5.6
        Alexis + 5.1

Hmmmm. This has got me thinking. Whoever replaces Henderson will be benched anyways or rotated with Siggy. I never realised Hazard was 9.9!!

I think I'd probably make one of those moves. Rotating Siggy could work well with his tough fixtures, though if you've got faith in him, you could always drop Henderson for a 4.4m mid, and use the money saved elsewhere next week.

I am very tempted to get Hazard. Never realised he was only 9.9. Only problem is that I will have 3 Chelsea (Fabs - Haz - Costa) attackers. But looking at their next 3....they could easily score loads!

Downgrading is probably my preferred option. I like to have the freedom when it comes to transfers. Justifying the hit a little more as its for the long term and possibly prevent me wasting a transfer in the coming weeks to downgrade the 5.6 mid.

Morning all, don't know what to do but don't like my team either. Any suggestions would be great

    2 FT, 0.1 ITB

    Forster, 4.0

Clyne, Moore, Chambers (Hutton and Robertson)

    Siggy, Sterling, ADM, Fab (Boyd)

    Kun, Costa (C), Pelle.

    Cheers!

Hypothetical question and may be impossible to answer, granted, but logically is it better to have a 4-5 point benefit from doing 1 transfer this weekend or fall that many behind and have 2 transfers to play with next weekend?

Neil Taylor to Callum Chambers I am thinking. Obviously FPL isn't that predictable, but it isn't that unpredictable either. Everton likely to score a couple against Swansea, Arsenal unlikely to concede against a piss poor Burnley.

hypothetical of course but depends if you have a plan for the 2 FT. If not I would get Chambers in as he is great value

Take the benefit now and avoid falling behind. It's nice having two transfers but it doesn't mean they will work out!

      • 12 Years

That is really difficult to answer... I think it just depends. Often, if you use 1FT on a defensive change, the next week you might be wishing for 2FTs to make some attacking switch, even if it paid off and got you a clean sheet. Then again, if you don't do it, Arsenal get a CS, and you've got nothing to do next week, you may see it as an opportunity missed. If you fancy owning Chambers over Taylor long term, I'd go for it, but 2FTs are always great to have.
