Sterling 32k out, Sanchez 36k in so far. That has to be a lot of hits, right?

is sanchez going up tonight?

To fund Sterling -> ADM, which move looks good
A) Rose -> Duff
B) Eriksen -> Chadli or Downing

Saving the wildcard for a double gameweek
SAVING THE WC FOR A DGW
I was asking before if a Wildcard is worth it to avoid an 8 point hit.
Of course, I would take the opportunity to optimise my squad a bit in other areas as well, but that is just "tidying up"
A few people said "No, your wildcard will be worth more for a DGW"
Is this true? The reason I ask is that I have never managed to keep my WC *this* long, let alone till the DGWs so I have no experience of using it then.
I am a bit sceptical I suppose because (a) I always seem to accumulate a few DGWers through careful planning and the odd hit, (b) by then you seem to have quite a lot of your squad "tied up" due to price rises so you can't just dismantle your squad and (c) if you get too many DGWers you can end up hating your squad the week after.
I welcome your thoughts...thanks...Open Controls-
play it when your team desperately needs it. DGW or not

keep it for when the snow comes

Re-reply.
I don't think so. You can take massive hits for a DGW and hopefully get paid back more easily than you can in a regular GW.Open Controls-
So, you are leaning towards using the WC now and taking hits for DGW?
Open Controls-
I used mine already to fix my team, as Bemba pointed out above. As to your post from earlier, I would still take a hit for Sanchez rather than use a WC for just one major player.
The DGW strategy for the Wild Card is a bit oversold on here, IMO. I have gotten massive hauls after hits during doubles and still end up with the same squad as a Wild Carder.Open Controls

I've always used it early. By the time the late season DGWs come around I'm always wishing I had an extra WC.
Open Controls-
I dunno. I seem to remember thinking last season that people who had kept their WC didn't do that much better out of the DGW as those that didn't. I might be mistaken though.
Open Controls-
No, people who kept RVP died a lingering death over months.
Open Controls -
Yeah I'm just saying it always feels needed late on so would keep unless your team needs urgent surgery.
I think Smarty Pants posted something last season about when the top 10k had used their wildcard and there was no link between the timing of it and overall rank but the majority use it in the first two international breaks. Most of the rest saved it for the DGWs.Open Controls

I was going to ask the same question. I've never kept my WC beyond GW7 and it doesn't look like i'll be needing it soon. I really don't know "how to use" the WC in a DGW, surely there will be players with only one game who you want to keep in your team. Plus like MJ said, you can usually plan for DGWs in advance.
So basically my question is how do you use a WC post-Jan?
Advice appreciatedOpen Controls -

Honestly i was up against a fella who used his last year in prep for the multiple dgws he was miles behind me must've beat me at a canter of 70pts in the end.
Another guy in another mini league took off in a similar manner.Open Controls -
I like saving my wildcard for double gameweeks because I know 100% what I'm doing. I'm getting the best players from the teams with the best double gameweeks. If I was wildcarding now, or a couple weeks ago I don't really know who the best picks are because there's no quantifiable, foolproof difference between players. Hazard or Fabregas? Sanchez or Di Maria? Rooney or Costa? Right now, I don't know the answers to those questions but if I can get 8 fixtures out of Di Maria vs 6 out of Sanchez I KNOW the probabilities are in my favor.
That's my take on it anyway. Ultimately if you choose the right players on a wildcard now, and then take the right hits later it will work out.Open Controls -
Unless your in tatters, I like to keep mine post xmas for a dgw.
Allows you to fix a team (quickly) that could be in need of repair as the result of a DGW player overload hangover !Open Controls-
Cheers. Interesting. See, I hadn't thought of using it AFTER a DGW, assumed you would use it to prepare. This is my lack of WC saving you see!
Open Controls-
I've used either way.
Once to clear out the dross.
The other time when a Chelsea DGW was announced within 10 days. I had no Chelsea.
Needless to say I had 3 before their game.Open Controls

Mane + Welbeck > Sanchez + Sakho worth a 4pt hit?
Loathed to get rid of Mane but too much uncertainty around him starting, plus have Pelle for Southampton attacking cover.Open Controls -

Costa fit for the game tomorrow, smug face on. I wonder what all those people who sold Costa are thinking? Are you scrambling to get him in last minute or sticking with Sanchez/Hazard? » Read"Open Controls -
A lot of other people harping on about Sanchez being lucky too and not worth the money. Granted its easy to be smug in hindsight but some people just set themselves up to be ridiculed after.
Btw Demi, not sure if I can post external links here but considering you Gravtar I thought you would appreciate this for Halloween here in Colombia

Which would you rather do to fund Sanchez:
A) Bertrand --> STaylor/Dummet
B) Welbeck --> SakhoOpen Controls -
No point in doing Coloccini --> Chambers right? Newcastle's next 4: wba, QPR, whm, bur?
Alternatively, Siggy --> Downing? Thoughts on that move?Open Controls-
West Ham have some very nice fixtures and in good form so I would say pull the trigger. I got rid of him and Sterling this week which I haven't regretted. I personally think there are more midfielders under 7mil who can match Siggy than people think, just have to pick them at the right time.

Can someone PLEASE answer me? this is the 3rd time I am posting this and I need some help!!
I can do for -4 the following, should i?
Guzan > Foster
Moreno > Steven Taylor
Sterling > Sanchez
Should I or am I just chasing this weeks points?Open Controls-
yes
Open Controls -
Good moves. Does it have to involve the keepers? They're not worth a hit.
Open Controls -
go for it
Open Controls -
Well you'd rather Alexis than Sterling in the long run, so -4pts will be worth it long term.

Should I do Sterling -> Tadic before his drop?
Would tripling up with Bertrand, Tadic & Pelle be bad? I will more than likely drop one of them before their tough fixtures, but this home fixture against Leicester looks good, and Tadic is on pens. Thoughts?Open Controls -
i'm going to be very angry with you guys if sanchez blanks next week
