As we brace ourselves for yet another international break, we turn to Saturday and Sunday’s fixtures and delve into the data in our first members article of the week. We assess Southampton’s chief creator and main frontman as the points start to dry up, cast an eye over Chelsea’s penalty box predator, Man City’s talismanic Argentine and Newcastle’s recent defensive displays as the clean sheets keep coming for Alan Pardew’s men.

How does this sound? No hits

    ADM>Chadli
    Tadic>Sanchez

Just had a quick look at your team and noticed you've still got ADM but no Sanchez. I've been trying to hold off getting Sanchez as I don't want to get rid off of ADM for him, would prefer the both of them but I cant' fund it any other way! Are you doing the same switch anytime soon or holding off until after the break?

I've looked getting Sanchez in my team while keeping ADM but just can't see a way of doing it 🙁

I'm literally in exactly the same boat. I wish I could have both but Sanchez price will continue to rise and ADM will go the other way. I know ADM has scored 3 goals already but if you look at his career records, he's not a big goal scorer. Yes he'll continue to get plenty of assists, but goals win over assists, so I think the switch to Sanchez makes sense.

You think his goal stats at Madrid are relevant? I'm sure they can tell you a bit but with the line up they had over there is it any surprise? He was playing about 4th or 5th fiddle there!!

I see your point but I think they are relevant to an extent. Even in regards to his assists as we've seen so far. Some of the balls he has played through this season would have been converted if he was still at Madrid but that's because you've got players like Ronaldo and Benzema getting on the end of them.

Of course those stats are relevant. He still got plenty of pitch time and given the amount if times real steam rollered teams, you'd actually have expected him to score more goals.

Very good point! I didn't think of the goals v assist part of it but that's now made me consider Fab>Sanchez as ADM is more of a goal threat than Fab, would you agree?

I just wish I would've done ADM>Sanchez 3 weeks ago as looking back no it made so much sense with their respective fixtures.

I considered Sanchez over adm in WC but played it just as adm was going nuts. Thems the breaks. If you have haz I'd prob lose fabregas, but given Chelsea's fixtures I'd personally keep fab over ADM. Could will out either way though. Just go with your gut.

    DZ quick pole -

    Would you rather have:

    ADM / Chambers / Tadic (in a 3-5-2)

    or for a -12

    Kun / Downing / Wisdom (or other 4.4) in a 3-4-3

How can Moses and Michael Dawson (!) be rated top 10 in the league on whoscored... they must have found the secret to beating the system!

      Moses = assists/dribbles
      Dawson = Blocks/Clearances/lack of minutes

Sanchez is looking like he will outscore ADM, however, my big worry with him is rotation when Wallcott and Ozel are fully fit,

Ha, well I got the draw part right anyway! Couldn't see goals and telling that they both came from set pieces.

    Foster (Gilks)
    Clyne - Chambers - Bertrand (N Taylor - Moore)
Sanchez - Fabregas - Di Maria - Sigurdsson (Marney)
    Costa - Aguero - Berahino

    1FT - 0.7m ITB - WC Available

I'm very close to pushing the WC button tonight. Why?

    A) Baines. Today feels like the straw that broke the camel's back, and I'm not sure I can go on without him any more.
    B) West Brom - I still think they're a decent side, but the next couple of fixtures are che/ARS, which doesn't bode well for Foster, nor Berahino, who wasn't so much the main man today with Anichebe in the side.
    C) Southampton - next week still looks a good bet for CS for my double up, but I think this defence will need a sort out after that, given their tough run and Moore losing his place at Leicester.
    D) The Break - Allows me to play the price rises/falls with the likes of Di Maria, and monitor injuries, including reports over Fabregas potentially being out.

Good time to do it, or an overreaction?

similar side (sort of) to me, very tempted myself as I am also Sanchezless on top of Baines 🙁

Interesting, cheers. Baines is probably the biggest source of my frustrations... just sitting there every week while he racks up the points again and again.

I know he got an assist today but Dat guy just doesn't seem to be producing the returns I expected. Based of form, fixtures and price rises/falls, is it worth Welbeck > Austin

    Thanks.

Remarkable how different Austin's stats are home vs away.

At home his ICT index is better than Costa at home (!), but away he's hardly top 20... Reassuring knowing that I'll probably bench him for Newcastle and Swansea aways, but start him vs Burnley and Leicester 🙂

Nice stats. Don't get him if you are considering benching though... 3-4-3 FTW

I was hoping it would be easier to split Aguero or Costa but it's difficult.

Costa is not in the Spain squad and Aguero is playing at Upton Park and Old Trafford so not travelling far.

Costa is most effective when playing a game a week so two weeks will help him rest but not help his rhythm. When returning against QPR, he was a bit off the pace but then you could see against Liverpool he was back on it.

Is it safer captaining Costa with such high ownership still?

I don't have Costa and will captain Aguero. Easy.

Costa might be my GW13 Pelle replacement, unless he gets booked and Bony or Sturridge become alternatives, or Pelle becomes a keeper.

Let me put it like this. Who would you rather have next gameweek:

    ADM(ars) +4
    or
    Sanchez(MUN)

Framed that question in a way that says you favour ADM. I'd agree if Sanchez means taking a hit

out for so long that he'll surely drop. flag just slows down falls i think

He is flagged but I would expect him to fall

Thanks. Might have to just take the drop and do Welbeck -> Austin now. I miss out on value either way unless I take a hit, which doesn't seem worth it
