As we brace ourselves for yet another international break, we turn to Saturday and Sunday’s fixtures and delve into the data in our first members article of the week. We assess Southampton’s chief creator and main frontman as the points start to dry up, cast an eye over Chelsea’s penalty box predator, Man City’s talismanic Argentine and Newcastle’s recent defensive displays as the clean sheets keep coming for Alan Pardew’s men.

    Thoughts please?

    Krul (Schmeichel)
    Baines, Kaboul, Chambers (Wisdom, Colo)
    Sanchez, Hazard, Siggy, Chadli (Boyd)
    Aguero, Pelle, Austin

    0 FT, 3.4 ITB

Anything worth a -4 hit for?
    How about future transfers??

Seriously considering WC to get Sanchez + Hazard. How's this 3-5-2 team ? Leaves me with 0 itB

    Krul
    Baines Duff Yun
    Sanchez ADM Hazard Downing Siggy
    Costa Aguero

Bench : Zamora McShane Wasilewski Elliot

    - Gets rid of Fab, Pelle, Clyne, Bego mainly, along with Moore, Marney, Naylor
    - Defense is terrible, but can have a 2/4 rotation every week, maybe worth it ?

      With sakho and Austin firing

I think u are thinking too much and going 3-5-2

3-4-3 Is the way to go..

I did the budget striker merry-go-round last time, with Ulloa and then Welbeck vying for the spot. Not pleasant memories !

But you're right about the defense, looks ugly..

I'd bump ADM down to Chadli and get a better defence and third striker.

Your bench will probably become more important as we head towards the rotation of the Xmas fixtures.

And you'll definitely have to call on them sooner or later.

I'll downgrade ADM in a couple of weeks and upgrade defense - in preparation for Xmas. Although thats probably looking too far ahead, a lot will happen between now and then

    Need your help please!

    Krul Gilks
    Baines Clyne Naylor Duff Wisdom
    ADM Sanchez Fabregas Tadic Boyd
    Aguero Pelle Berahino

    What to do?

    1. Fab & Pelle to Chadli & Costa?
    2. Tadic to Chadli?

Im feeling like Chelsea will go big in the next few games. Not having Costa / Hazard is frightening.

CHE have great fixtures - may not be a bad idea to triple up me thinks.

    Sterling Oscar Downing Fabregas Tadic
    Aguero(c) Pelle (Austin)

    1FT, 1.7itb. Just did Welbeck>Austin.

        See my reply earlier:

I would have gotten Zamora just for the cheap price, not nailedness... a 4.3 third fwd allows the massive quartet of ADM-Sanchez-Costa-Aguero, plus Baines. Now I have to decide who out of ADM and Sanchez i want :/

        Haha, thats boss.

I'm so tempted to just cut loose the hits and go crazy with a -8 or something to get this done. I know its best to wait for next GW though when Siggy, ADM, and Saints' fixtures all turn

    5. Jafalad
      • 16 Years
      11 years, 5 months ago

Oscar, Tadic and Sterling all need booting asap.

Get Wanyama, Sanchez and Siggy/Chadders. Don't be afraid to take an 8 pt hit either as you need a major surgery.

      1. rickardinho
        • 11 Years
        11 years, 5 months ago

        Wanyama? nah

Oscar is abit awkward in my lineup, but has great fixtures and form. I'm considering taking a -8 to get this midfield sorted, though the Saints are making me hold off on it for now

        1. Jafalad
          • 16 Years

You need a very cheap 5 th mid. You are not going to play him.

You only need 11 outfield players max at this time of the year. Your team desperately needs surgery so it pays to listen to advice.

          1. rickardinho
            • 11 Years
            11 years, 5 months ago

Of course, but I don't see the logic in going for Wanyama instead of Boyd for example, who is 0.2 cheaper. Wanyama might be scoring more but has tougher fixtures.

The new Kun is a much classier model. More reliable and fitted with a better chassis.

If I had them both would probably captain Costa.

Aguero vs Costa captaincy choice for me could come down to which one among Silva and Fabregas is passed fit. If both are fit or unavailable, I'll probably go Aguero.

What baffles me here is the love for 3 players that haven't shown us anything this season and already planning to get them in.

    1) Sterling. The argument is always "Sturridge will be back soon and Sterling will be around 8.3 by then". My argument is Liverpool is crap. You don't know that Sturridge will make him better that is just you hoping. There are many options delivering like Siggy,Chadli,Downing who are way cheaper. Even Oscar. I wouldn't have Sterling even if he was 7 at the current form and the form of his competition

    2) Sturridge. He is back from a lengthy absence. You cannot judge him by last season's form when his team is crap and Suarez is gone. How many of Sturridge's goals last season were assisted by Suarez? I wouldn't be surprised if it was 60% or higher. Sterling will NOT provide the same quality of service in a million years because he is not that good.

    3) Walcott. The guy hasn't played in almost a year. He will need some time. He is rusty. Plus Sanchez will always be the main man.

I hope not much people has already get them in.

On another hand sterling is still a good option. Others are all wait n see

      • 16 Years

Agreed. Walcott needs gametime and Sterling has gone off the boil playing in a struggling team. Studge is an injury prone player so why some would play with such a risk is a little baffling.

Hazard point-wise is not far behind even though he is not in his best goal scoring form. He will probably get better. If you decide to have him this season, then you have to be patient and not count him as a (c) choice but he will deliver big points every 4 games or so. You just have to be have him when he does. However, at that price, I'd rather have a solid captain choice. ADM will prove to be the same case as the season goes btw.

Last week I asked people to predict future bandwagons instead of focussing on this week's. A few people made their predictions.

Moin was the clear winner so far, as he quite rightly predicted Austin

He really is the king of differentials!

In fairness, though, he said Rooney too 😉

So I'm going to ask this question every gameweek now...

*****Who will be the next big bandwagons?*****

My answer: I think Ulloa will bounce back onto the scene.

Is it too early in the int break to bring Costa back in? I will have 0.3m to spare if I do now so I won't have a problem paying for him, more just wanting to minimise chances of losing 0.1 or so.
