Far from a tribute to Chris Martin’s middle of the road act, this week’s ScoutCast reflects on the sea of yellow flags that have flooded our Fantasy Premier League squads over the past week. You’re nobody unless you’ve collected at least four by Saturday morning.

The uncertainty caused by phantom international break injuries dominates proceedings as Granville and I mark a return to the studio. Whilst I start praying for Georgie Boyd to step up, my co-host begins his campaign to hypnotise me into getting rid of Branislav Ivanovic before he starts putting further daylight between our teams. I’m refusing to gaze into Granville’s eyes.

Elsewhere this week, we catch “Cup Fever” and resurrect the ScoutCast team. Sign up and you could soon have the pleasure of knocking Granville and I out of our own cup competition. Providing we qualify of course – that’s far from a given.

“Look at the stars” via this link or “look at how the shine for you” via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    McCarthy, Downing, Naylor, Wilson

    1ft, 0.4m

Wilson is actually ruled out for BUR despite being yellow flagged on fpl. Confirmed by Demi.

    So:
    A) Wilson to Tripper
    B)ADM to Haz
    C) Save, then next week Tadic to Siggy and Clyne/Wilson to Azpi/Cresswell

Comparing styles really. I was a fan of Berbatov, thought he got unfair stick. But Eriksen appears to be utterly useless and lazy on his bad days.

as far as i know many people have more pressing injuries problems than selling saints assets. selling soton players certainly is not my priority and even if i have a FT with no injury doubt i would rather save it as we never know how many injuries we will get at the end of the week.

downgrade baines or hazard..your team cannot support them imo..u need to upgrade wanyama and triple new def is no good.

a more balanced team will benefit u more especially u have used your wildcard.

baines is injuried..and have average fixtures after this..i would take a risk to get him out as your other areas need cash. U might want to try cresswell at 5.4? which save u around 1.7m.

oscar is a good alternative to hazard..which save u another 1.6m.

using the 3m extra u could get siggy instead of wanyama...and maybe N.taylor instead of S.taylor? he's on 4th yc but i can see u riding it out with yun and dummett on bench.

costa kun sanchez are the players that will likely score a lot of points in the coming fixtures..build your team around them.

Welbeck > Austin. Gives you some cash to splash next GW. At that time I'd consider Forster>Guzan and maybe Fab > Haz if Haz does good vs. WBA this week.

      Definitely get rid of Welbeck

    Krul (Schmeichel)
    Baines, Kaboul, Chambers (Colo, Wisdom)
    Sanchez, Hazard, Sigurdsson, Chadli (Boyd)
    Aguero, Pelle, Austin

    0FT, 3.4m in the bank.

Thinking Kaboul to Azpi either this week or next. Then downgrading Colo to Yun which allows Pelle to Costa.

I know Costa may get YC this GW but it'll be same concern next GW so don't think we should read too much on it. He's a Striker so if he wishes he can easily avoid it until GW 16 by not doing stupid things. I'll see what I can do. I'll wait for the Tadic news. Cheers. 🙂

Downgrading Costa to ANYONE, to upgrade a mid to Sanchez or even Superman, is quite frankly not happening.

Assuming that i want to rid of Costa, your 'spelt out plans', and my time wasting now are enough.

One simple question to all you gorgeous and generous, kind hearted folks out there:
Need to rid myself of Williamson since due to circumstances beyond my comprehension I now have three Toon defenders.
So for one week only, I need a cheaper replacement who stands a reasonable chance of a clean sheet.
Would you go with Duff or someone else?

I've had Williamson for a while, even when he scored his first goal for about a billion years.
Dummet and Krul came in because I was sick of Begovic's poor scores and needed Dummet to afford Sanchez.
I realise thanks to the replies below that he probably will play due to Colo and Saylor being out, but in my position would you want to triple up on Toon's defence against the mighty Austin?

    Krul, Bego
    Terry, Chambers, Clyne, Wilson, Bruce

Use it on Wilson or Bruce. Yun is an obvious contender, Naylor or Dummet if you can afford.

I'd get rid of Wilson for another cheapo. Stoke can't keep a clean sheet to save their lives at the moment.

Need a defender to replace Dawson due to WBAs tough fixtures. Considering Naylorbut he's on 4 yellows, Colo was the other option but now injured. Are West Ham worth consider in or any other options? Current defense:

    Clyne Baines Dawson Duff Hutton

Dawson can wait. You have Hutton and Duff to rotate with him. Would upgrade Clyne to a Chelsea defender if I were you.

Thanks, could bank the transfer and do Clyne to Azp next week. Guess Duff away to Stole isn't too bad this week

Cresswell looks good but drains your cash. Perhaps Dummett? Would give you extra cash to upgrade elsewhere

Was considering him but leaves no flexibility on the cash side. Too punchy I think

Yep, if he was 5 I think I'd go for him but as it is the lack of cash would prove difficult down the line

    Good to go?

    Foster
    Baines Clyne Hutton
    Fabregas Di Maria Mane Downing
    Costa Aguero(c) Pelle
    ----------------------------------------------
    McCarthy Boyd Chambers Moore

    Saving FT this week.
Next week: Fabregas, Pelle, Mane and Clyne> Walcott, Hazard, Austin and Trippier (-8)?
    Thoughts?

    Thanks.

I wouldn't do the last transfer, and wally won't start 3 games in 7 days 😀

      Fabregas + Pelle + Mane ---> Alexis + Austin + Sigurdsson? (-4)

        Cheers AR.
I saw a post from Dat Guy a couple of nights ago that showed Walcott started 3 out of 4 games during the Christmas period last season. But these transfers look good too 🙂

Can't wait til January when we recall the Nani. Will save a bundle downgrading AdM to him.

He mentioned it on the Twitter.

The Nani with a manager who actually wants to attack and will give him a run...
