Far from a tribute to Chris Martin’s middle of the road act, this week’s ScoutCast reflects on the sea of yellow flags that have flooded our Fantasy Premier League squads over the past week. You’re nobody unless you’ve collected at least four by Saturday morning.

The uncertainty caused by phantom international break injuries dominates proceedings as Granville and I mark a return to the studio. Whilst I start praying for Georgie Boyd to step up, my co-host begins his campaign to hypnotise me into getting rid of Branislav Ivanovic before he starts putting further daylight between our teams. I’m refusing to gaze into Granville’s eyes.

Elsewhere this week, we catch “Cup Fever” and resurrect the ScoutCast team. Sign up and you could soon have the pleasure of knocking Granville and I out of our own cup competition. Providing we qualify of course – that’s far from a given.

“Look at the stars” via this link or “look at how the shine for you” via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Having reached the mid 7000 s( best ever rank) my dilemma is to use my free transfer or save and keep two for next week.

    Forster
    Baines clyne chambers
    Fab sig di Maria sanchez
    Aguero pelle berahino

    Hutton Moore Marney

    Any suggestions?

I'd play Hutton over Chambers. Otherwise looking good to keep. I've had 2 for several weeks now, it's a real luxury to have in the back pocket.

It's the media making a story when there really isn't one. People are confusing stereotypes with racism.

        This
My first thought was if someone made a comment about scots being tight arsed I would just laugh it off. I think anti semitism gets abused.
Would love to tell the story from my work about it but not the place

How is saying "the Jews like money" (I'm paraphrasing, clearly) anit-semitism?! The media labelling it as such is more damaging, imo, as it whips up a storm unnecessarily.

Did Dave Whelan call the Irish "paddies" and the Chinese "chinks"? That's ignorance and naivety, not deliberate racism.

This hardly dignifies a response, but here it goes. Making generalisations concerning the personalities of people based on race is a massively destructive practice that has been used to justify countless atrocities throughout human history. The example you cited is a remnant of a caricature of Judaism that eventually lead to the holocaust.

I'm sorry, but I totally disagree with this. One is, for want of a better word, banter while the other is deep rooted hatred.

Is saying 'black people are generally criminals' racism or a stereotype?

One and the same imo. You can't make generalisations based on ethnicity or colour

We make generalisations all the time. Things really aren't (no pun intended) black and white.

And your quote is racist. It' not the same AT ALL.

Thanks Gnu. I'm not looking for support, but felt like I should reply to this topic after hearing The Guardian journalist on the radio this evening. Yes, Dave Whelan was incredibly stupid and niave to say what he said, but do I think he is racist? I really suspect not.

It genuinely troubles me how some incidents are labelled racist or anti-semetic by the media, when the intention of the person was nothing of the sort. This sort of label sticks and ruins lives. By association, it also weakens the horrific impact and harm caused by genuine racism which absolutely should not be tolerated.

Hazard has been out of form FPL wise, Fabregas has been red hot yet Haz is only 8 points behind Fab. Hazards stats have been improving whilst Fabs have been getting worse (and history says Hazard will end up near the top of the points table and Cesc will regress). Plus Haz is an explosive, flat track bully with perfect fixtures ahead.

    Thoughts?

He puts a lot of spin on his shots though. If you watch all his goals from last season a fair few went in after hitting the keeper.

        I really appreciate the advice!!

This game is all about opinions and sharing them is what this forum is for!

I think I'm going to go with my gut and gamble on Hazard. After reading my own posts back and Kalix's fantastic post I'm going to pull the trigger. But you could end up right! I think Fabregas is probably the safe choice with me getting him for 9 mill and I could use the transfer elsewhere but I like a risk every now and again!

Fortunately for you I don't own a pitchfork.....

For crying out loud, it isn't rocket science. I sold Fabregas 2 weeks ago, purely because he is a 9.5m player that I would never captain. Hazard, Oscar and Costa all carry more goal threat.

To clarify, "new injury" refers to Falcao's recent calf problem. The word "new" was used to distinguish this from a previous knee injury.

I had Austin in GW 1 🙁 0 points from him and it could be 9.

It's new begining for both him and me, hope for better result. 🙂

you and me both mate, you and me both

Then I had GW2 and he was injured

Was a doubt for GW3, so I got Naismith in and Austin played and scored

I'm considering doing Pelle & Tadic to Hazard & Cisse this week with my 2 FTs.

    Thoughts?

I really like it. It is a risk though with Delph, Senderos and Vlaar out. Senderos and Delph have played well this season.

Cheers GB. Was not what I was planning at all this week but Pelle & Tadic have the same should have probably delivered more (excluding Sun) vibe as Hazard, who is WC and playing in a WC team. Cisse usually delivers when fit. Both playing at home fo bottom half opposition.

Doesn't sound too risky like that. But obviously I'm wording it to suit my decision!

They should have launched that exchange thingy at the start of the international break when I had my customary excessive time to think about fantasy football but nowhere to apply it. Too busy heading into Xmas spell now

Does anyone know if you're allowed to take a 'proper' camera to a PL game? Like a DSLR.

I want some good photos of Aguero when he scores his hattrick and won't get that on my phone.

Burton Albion don't mind but league 2 isn't as copyright heavy!

You can buy press bibs for few quid on ebay
Make a plastic press pass and bet you they would let you sit behind goals
