Leighton Baines remains a doubt for Everton. Angel Di Maria is fit for Man United’s trip to Arsenal. The Gunners welcome back Olivier Giroud, Aston Villa face a central defensive crisis, West Ham have worries over Diafra Sakho and Stewart Downing, while Vincent Kompany returns to training for City.

Olivier Giroud and Mikel Arteta are both in contention for Arsenal’s home clash with United, though Arsene Wenger has admitted β€œit’s just a question of how ready they are”. Earlier this morning, the Arsenal boss confirmed Danny Welbeck will be assessed later today after picking up a hamstring knock in midweek and went on to say he doesn’t think Theo Walcott will be available. Alexis Sanchez will also be assessed after arriving back late from international duty with Chile.

Villa are bracing themselves for an injury crisis in central defence ahead of Monday’s visit of Southampton. Paul Lambert has confirmed that Philippe Senderos is ruled out with a calf complaint, whilst Ron Vlaar and Nathan Baker are both β€œstruggling” and almost certain to miss out. Alan Hutton is back for the Midlands outfit, though, after recovering from an ankle injury.

Sean Dyche remains hopeful Scott Arfield and Nathaniel Chalobah will be available for Burnley. Arfield picked up a knock in training earlier in the week, whilst Chalobah was forced off on England Under-21 duties in midweek.

Roberto Martinez has doubts over seven players ahead of Everton’s home clash with West Ham. The Toffees boss has confirmed Leighton Baines remains β€œtouch and go” to face Sam Allardyce’s side, whilst Seamus Coleman (Achilles), James McCarthy, Kevin Mirallas (both hamstring), Darron Gibson and Steven Pienaar (both knee) will also be assessed. Gareth Barry remains unlikely to recover in time from an ankle injury sustained in Gameweek 11.

Steve Bruce has confirmed Allan McGregor, Nikica Jelavic and Michael Dawson have trained all week and are expected to be available for Sunday’s clash with Spurs. Curtis Davies has stepped up his recovery from a back problem and returned to training yesterday for the Tigers.

Midfielder Dean Hammond misses out for Leicester this weekend, though Nigel Pearson has revealed Liam Moore (illness), Wes Morgan (foot) and Ritchie de Laet (knock) are all available for selection.

Vincent Kompany has returned to training with City, though reports indicate he only has an outside chance of making the home clash with Swansea.

Angel Di Maria and David de Gea are available for United’s trip to Arsenal, whilst Michael Carrick is expected to recover from a groin problem in time for tomorrow evening’s encounter. Louis van Gaal confirmed Daley Blind is unavailable and is set for scans in 10 days’ time and Luke Shaw remains a doubt after being forced off on international duty in midweek.Β Radamel Falcao is sidelined for at least another two weeks for the Red Devils with an ongoing calf complaint.

Alan Pardew has confirmed Steven Taylor is “a big doubt” to face QPR at home, with the Magpies also missing Fabricio Coloccini, Cheick Tiote and Rolando Aarons.

Sam Allardyce has confirmed West Ham will assess Diafra Sakho and Stewart Downing after the duo picked up back and knee problems over the international break. The Hammers boss also revealed Andy Carroll is ready to start if selected, though is not 100% match fit.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter stream as breaking news unfolds.

Fantasy Football Scout daily hot topic

    Gwk 12 midfielders.

Just been looking at the midfield options this week. Aside from Oscar/Hazard, Sanchez (if not jet lagged), Moses (yes he is an assist machine at home) I'm struggling to think of any other decent picks this week.

Could this be the week of the two to three man midfield.

So what midfielders would you recommend - both as a one week punt or for this week and beyond.

Unless it's last game of the season or I'm wildcarding the next week who takes a one week punt? I agree Walters could do well this week but I sure as hell wouldn't want him longer than that!

I take one week punts all the time - without a WC or it being the last game of the season. πŸ˜†
Took Hazard out for Schurrle in GW 2.... 😳 Meant to be 1 week punt, but he stayed a little longer...

Walters will be my 5th mid if I bring him in, so not too troublesome! (I hope)

Differences between mine and the current Scout Picks Champion's picks:

The lack of consistent big hitters in midfield is a problem. I've been having a look at 4-3-3 as a an option until January. In the end though I've decided to go with Hazard and hope his upturn in stats results in points.

Just not sure if he's a) fit or worth his current price tag compared to Haz or Oscar. I really wish I'd got him at 9m but I think my Cesc boat may have sailed - although a one match ban could see some sales enough to push the price down.

That's fair enough, if I was buying a Chelsea midfielder now it wouldn't be him but I'll keep until my hand is forced by circumstance I think. Surprises me he hasn't been a mainstay in your team to be honest - he feels like a very Jonty player πŸ™‚

Does look like he's fit this week though - apparently he trained fine yesterday according to an article Demi linked last night.

Just posted a raft of excellent community articles.

All can be seen here http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/category/community-submissions/

We’ve got Kalix with a great piece of research looking at value and getting the most out of a wildcard side.

There’s Buffrey with a fascinating look at where teams are most vulnerable and exactly which type of player is most likely to breach their rearguard.

The Puntmaster returns with his trio of differentials.

And Owd Big Ed has produced a stunning piece of analysis into strikers. It even has a graph!

Still tempted to do Baines & Pelle to 5.3 def & Costa despite having Sakho as a doubt and the fact that Baines isn't ruled out.. Decisions decisions

    Roberston Dawson Chester Davies

Back three: Chester - Dawson - Davies.

Elmohammady and Brady at wing back - Robertson could come back in on the left, but Brady's also playing well.

Bro, can both Brady and Robertson be in the team? I mean Brady on one side and Robertson on the other. Elmo to be benched.

There's been talk in Hull Daily Mail about both Robertson and Brady starting vs Spurs. Brady to play on the left wing or in the hole.

''Nigel Pearson has revealed Liam Moore (illness), Wes Morgan (foot) and Ritchie de Laet (knock) are all available for selection.''

Does this mean Moore wasn't in first 11 last GW because of illness? I really hope he will start, as my other 2 mids who can start with Baines and Clyne are Duff (stk) and Naylor (mci).

Really hope Moore will come back to the team. Can't really afford to have a non-playing bench player during the upcoming busy period.
