Saturday delivers six Premier League encounters this afternoon, before Arsenal’s clash with United ends proceedings in style at the Emirates.

The team news, from Goodison in particular, will hit Fantasy managers hard.

Both Leighton Baines and Stewart Downing miss out on Merseyside, as the Hammers are forced to make no less than five changes to their lineup due to international duty exertions. Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia, Alex Song and Cheikhou Kouyate also fail to make Sam Allardyce’s selection as Andy Carroll renews his “marriage” with Kevin Nolan in today’s lineup. As for Everton, they recall Steven Naismith and hand a surprise start to Kevin Mirallas (7.2 anyone?) on his return from injury. Samuel Eto’o and Aiden McGeady drop to the Toffees’ bench.

Elsewhere, Cesc Fabregas is fit to start for Chelsea as Jose Mourinho recalls Willian for the fatigued Ramires in his midfield. The visitors give a first start to Chris Baird at left-back with Sébastien Pocognoli missing out, while Stephane Sessegnon is recalled and both Craig Gardner and Claudio Yacob earn midfield berths in what looks to be a cautious Baggies setup.

City recall both Pablo Zabaleta and skipper Vincent Kompany to their back four for the visit of Swansea, while Stevan Jovetic starts up front in what looks to be a 4-4-2. Garry Monk, rather surprisingly, keeps Jonjo Shelvey on his bench, retaining Tom Carroll in midfield.

Up in the north East, Alan Pardew has little option but to hand Mike Williamson a start for his injured skipper, Fabricio Coloccini. Fantasy favourite, Ryan Taylor looks to be making his first Newcastle start after long-time injury in the midfield to replace the injured Mehdi Abeid. The R’s also make changes in opposition, as Nedum Onuoha comes in for Mauricio Isla who drops to the bench, while Joey Barton replaces Eduardo Vargas.

That’s both QPR’s Chileans out of the starting lineup, presumably due to their long-haul flights and late returns. Anyone worried for Sanchez this evening? Yeah, me too.

Good luck to all. Play up George Boyd!

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Sakho (NEW, wba, SWA, sun, LEI) - assume he'll be back next week

    Or

Austin (LEI, swa, BUR, eve, WBA)

Toss a coin on those fixtures

But WHU the stronger team overall for me

Agree, but Sakho's goal involvement % is less and not sure if he'll pick up where he left off

        It's a tough one

Ings mate. It's not a knee jerk, been wanting him since a week

Burnley don't really score though, unless you think these two results will change the tide?

Ings was their main attacker last season and his return is clearly showing the effects. Fixtures good as well

28 pts with 4 to play

    Sanchez ADM Clyne Chambers

Aguero (c) didn't hurt too much with Costa only getting the one

34 with 4 left, which looks decent atm, feeling quite relieved.

Aye, from the looks of 1st half, I was quite scared but at present on 21 points with 6 to play. I will take it

Ugh, sitting on 14 from 5 and strongly tempted to go for that WC... No Costa with 75% of teams in the top 100k is looking lethal... unless Pelle can pull a goal out of the hat on monday!

    1. davies

And to think I was going to bench Ings for Eto'o if he had started. Ayoze could be dropped, now.

Sounds like you have one too many cooks in the kitchen up top... I'm still interested in Ings, whats your price?

13 and 7. The number of points Herrera has picked up in the two games he played 90minutes.

I think the 'protection' Fellaini offers is overrated. 3 in 4 games that protection will manifest itself as multiple fouls, a card and the breaking up of United's fluidity.

This game NEEDS to be that 1 in 4 if he is to keep Herrera benched.

    1. Ady87

This is less about FFS and more about United.

Think LvG may have his tactics bang on here. Arsenal aren't exactly renowned for using width properly. Three at the back could work a trick. And much as it pains to say it Fellaini could be quite useful today.

Fellaini has been useful since he came in.

Mainly at elbowing people, but he does a job.

        11 years, 11 months ago

He's more of a hindrance to our overall play than anything normally. But today he could be useful. Maybe.

    Clyne > Ivan
    ADM > Hazard
    Pelle > 6.1 or below

    C) Austin
    D) Other

as Southampton's fixtures turn red and Swansea's turn blue I'm looking to replace Clyne with a Swans defender. Who would be the best option? Williams and Taylor both 1 booking away from suspesion. Rangel then? Amat?
